This is what's left of our shrimp tacos, asada fries, and onion rings.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The building is nice with lots of seating and TVs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went up to the sign on the counter that said order here and waited a long time for someone to come up. We asked if we ordered there or at the table and he said here. We ordered a beer sampler. And sat down. We then noticed that the person that took our order was going around to tables taking orders along with someone else. We ordered food at the counter. The first 4 beers were not good. We love beer and there are few that I would say are not good. The next five were better. We got the asada fries, shrimp tacos, and onion rings to eat. The asada fries and onion rings were really good. The shrimp tacos had a weird taste and didn't have much flavor at all. No one came around and filled up my son's soda but they did at the tables around us. They did have a $5. Pint special going while the World Cup was on which was a good deal. We are just traveling through so will not be able to give them another chance.

It's been a while since our last visit, but was gifted a gift card and decided to utilize it after a long day of activities. The good, the good has always been consistent and good. Today I had a craving for soup and salad so I got a bowl of chowder which was creamy and surprisingly packed full of clams. Normally I'm not a fan of bacon in chowder because it over powers the flavor but it was surprisingly mild. The salad was a flavor bomb with all the ingredients to them point that I didn't add dressing. The down Achilles heal at the place has always been the service. It's so hit or miss, and I'm not sure if it's because sometimes you order everything at the bar and sometimes you get a server and there's no rhyme or reason. We sat for a while before someone asked if we've been helped and he had to go talk to the server team. After we waited for 15 mins for someone to finally check us out. Everyone was friendly it was just longgggg periods between any kind of check in. I will shout out the young man seating and help bus tables he was on top of his duties!

My family and I visited Rincon Brewery last weekend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a family-friendly restaurant, and we noticed many families eating there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband liked the extensive beer selection. He opted for a flight of different beers and particularly enjoyed the La Reina Mexican lager and Merrick American lager. Since I don't drink beer frequently, I chose a Rose fruit cider and a glass of wine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The brewery's location is quite spacious! They have many tables both indoors and outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I particularly liked the artwork displayed throughout the brewery. It's a beautiful place with a simple atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another great aspect of their location is the open, bright, and spacious layout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent! Our waiter was attentive and recommended a couple of beers to my husband, who was undecided about what to try. It's an ideal spot for lunch and a few drinks!

This was our first visit to the Ventura location and it did not disappoint! We've always gone to the Carpenteria location. Plenty of parking here, large restaurant and patio too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and the heat lamps worked great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and the food was awesome! Loved the fried cauliflower appetizer so good! As were our burgers and beers! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had great service, beers and food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We've been to the Carpinteria one a few times, this one is quite a bit bigger and very well put together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I took the train from Simi Valley to SB on a Saturday with my family. We walked around SB, went to the zoo & came here for a cold brew and food. It sure was delicious. It as a suggested spot from my uncle and aunt who are frequently visiting SB. I ordered a Dos Arboles and a double smash burger with lettuce, grilled onions and avocados + garlic parmesan fries 10/10!!! Service was great. Staff were friendly. I'd definitely come back again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in you can see there are lots of places to sit, both inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very busy when we walked in so when greeted by the host they gave us the option of where to sit and we opted for the bigger tables near the games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had a live performance playing guitar and singing inside so it was very loud and hard to hear.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But after the performance was finished we were able to have a conversation at our table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good. You have to walk up to the counter and order food and drinks. The Michelada was good, I enjoyed it and so was the food. Overall a decent experience.

After my mediocre burger experience last time I was a bit hesitant on what to order when dining at Rincon today for a gathering. I opted for the asada quesadilla and could not have made a better choice. It was filling and delicious and came with a good portion of steak inside. It was $17 but I paid a $3 upcharge to get sweet potato fries instead of the chips and salsa it comes with and it was worth it - love their sweet potato fries. Service was very attentive today overall and the server was patient with our large group. Definitely feel better about returning again in the future. My friend sitting next to me ordered the blackened shrimp tacos and said she really enjoyed them.

Always love coming here when we're in town! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food is amazing the drinks are good and the vibes are chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh & you can bring your dogs so that's a plus too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sitting on the patio on a beautiful summer day drinking a beer with a smash burger and some fries.. what more could you want?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service really depends on who is serving but we have usually had a good experience! Don't miss this one when you're in town!

Food smelled good, ambiance looked great, hostess was rude so we did not stay. We'll try again once they hire a more polite hostess.

The Topa Topa on Thompson is my personal favorite location. All of them are great, and each one…read morecarries that welcoming, familiar energy, but the downtown spot just feels different. No matter which Topa you walk into, you see familiar faces. There is a real sense of family there, and I would hate to lose that. The Thompson location specifically feels like home. When I lost someone very near and dear to me, Topa became a place where I could breathe again. On the worst days, walking through those doors made things feel just a little lighter. Sometimes it felt like I was holding my breath all day until I got there. There is a steady comfort in that space. Mama mia, that kind of place is rare. I have definitely "invested" ;) my fair share into the pool table and the pinball machine. Trivia nights with the awesome host, the food pop ups, Nicks Smash Burgers and Ramos Tacos are the best. Being introduced to new bands and almost always leaving a live show with a vinyl or CD by the end of their set. It truly is a community. Supporting local artists and seeing the same people show up for each other over and over again is part of what makes it special. And the beer is unreal. I was never much of a beer person, but a few years ago they pulled me in with Moo Bae then the Althlone Ranger, and then the 4 and 20. My current favorite is The Tux. Every time I go in, that is what I get. I loved when they had more dark beers too. Topa Topa opened the door for me into the craft beer world without ever feeling intimidating. Once you find a place where you feel appreciated and respected, where you feel known, you do not want to lose that. A huge part of that for me is seeing my regular beer tenders, Mike, Lea, Marie, and Zion. They are part of what makes walking through those doors feel like coming home. The Thompson location is that kind of place. Really messed up what you did. EDIT- This is nothing against the newer employees of Topa, but has everything to do with corporate. What were you thinking getting rid of 15% of your staff? The people that have helped build the foundation of your brand. The people that build the individual personalities of each taproom. The people that we have gotten to know and they've gotten to know us. Like I said before Topa is a family. I get that the craft beer scene is getting smaller but getting rid of family is so dumb. Your regulars have developed a relationship with these people. It's so disheartening to go now. When we go we aren't greeted by these friendly faces that know us. You'd think you'd focus more on your regulars you know the people that actually spend money here rather than the "next generation". Like I said, this has nothing to do with the new workers. They're nice. But the people we've developed relationships could NEVER be replaced. The lovers of topa topa do not like this. And I've already seen on Reddit people are saying they aren't going back.

I wouldn't call myself a big beer fan, but Topa Topa is one of those places that always pulls me…read morein. I usually order a flight so I can try a few different things, especially their special release beers. Two favorites I've loved during special releases are the Ojai Pixie Citrus IPA and Harvest Swoon Sangria-Style Sour. Both are super flavorful without being overwhelming. Their hard seltzers are also a great option when I'm in the mood for something lighter. The Ojai location has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and shares the space with Little Sama, which makes it an easy place to hang out. They also host community events like trivia nights on Tuesdays, which adds to the fun. A great spot whether you're really into craft beer or just enjoy a casual drink in a laid-back Ojai setting.
