I've come here a couple of times now to get some items to go. It's such a cute spot. Love what they did with the location. Parking can be tricky since there are EV chargers and other locations at Gasworks. If parking lot is full, theres street parking around the area. This specific spot, they do have their busy times so be prepared to wait if you do come during one of those times. I have been lucky and have gotten there when there wasnt a line out the door. Anytime I go I have to get pie. Skylar Bryce's pies are delicious. I have tried their matcha latte can and vanilla latte can. They were both really good. First place I think my husband and I have found where we would go buy cans from. Have gotten their tiramisu latte and biscuit. Both so good. The biscuit was so fluffly. Jam and butter it came with so good with it. Overall, have loved my experience here even though its been mainly to go. This has become such a popular spot in Ventura so I really wanted to come try their drinks. I ordered 2 of their speciality drinks: strawberry rhubarb shortcake matcha ($9.75) and the pistachio saffron brown sugar latter ($10). For the matcha it was more bitter than sweet and was not balanced enough for my taste. I love when my matcha isn't overpowered by the milk which is why I did not enjoy this drink. I felt that I could taste more of the milk than the matcha. For the pistachio latte I did enjoy that the espresso was strong but the latte lacked pistachio flavor overall. I was expecting the latte to have a strong pistachio flavor was you could barely taste hints of it. I love the minimalist interior inside and is great they have outside seating. The drinks were ready fairly quickly but we also went when it was not super busy. I would love to come back and try some of their pastries because I hear great things about those as well. read more

Really cute and cozy coffee shop in Ventura and close to the beach. I came by before picking up my race bib for the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon. Packet pickup was happening close to the beach, but I wanted to get some breakfast before heading over. I got myself a matcha and a savory pastry to consume alongside it. The matcha was *perfectly* sweetened---so many places do matcha SO wrong, so I treasure any place that is able to capture the essence of matcha while maintaining a sweet flavor. The pastry was crispy, flaky, and full of savory flavor. The sesame seeds were a nice touch. I was able to sit at the bench by the wall inside the shop, though there isn't too much seating. Stumbled upon Room Service Coffee when I stopped to charge my car. Fabulous chill space. Very knowledgeable staff/baristas! Solid cappuccino and several interesting looking seasonal flavored offerings as well. At 1:30pm on a Thursday, they had only sweet baked goods left. Savory options were sold out. I started coming to Room Service Coffee when they were doing the pop ups and was so excited when the shop finally opened! Admittedly I'm a bit delayed in finally writing a review. At this point, my go to order tends to be a biscuit (with the jam and butter) by Skylar Bryce as well as a yummy drink from Room Service. I've tried a variety of their drinks from their seasonal specials to the core staples. Recently, I tried their mocha with a cream top. It was so delicious! It wasn't too sweet, had good flavor, and was the perfect texture. It can definitely get busy on the more popular days to get coffee so be warned about a possible wait! Okay to start this off, I love the vibe of the place! Super cute. They are always so careful about my gluten allergy and they check the ingredients to be extra sure. Stopped by room service for Mother's Day for something simple to start the day off for the wife and looked like a champ after the amazing artistry we walked out with! The drinks were crafted like something out of a magazine but it tasted even better than it looked. This was, without a doubt, the worst and most overpriced coffee I've ever had. I ordered the Black Sesame Latte, which cost $10, but all they did was sprinkle a tiny bit of black sesame on top of regular whipped cream. If you're going to call it a Black Sesame Latte, it should actually have a rich, nutty black sesame flavor throughout the drink. Instead, it tasted like absolutely nothing. The sesame was buried in the cream, so I could barely taste it at all. I honestly felt scammed. I never want to come back here, and now I understand why Ventura isn't a popular destination. The prices are outrageous, and both the food and the coffee are terrible. Ironically, the complimentary breakfast and coffee at my hotel were the best I've had during this trip. I was wrong to underestimate hotel coffee. As for the cold brew, it tasted even worse than the bitter Americano served in a school cafeteria. I absolutely do not recommend this place. read more

This place is my favorite coffee shop I tried in Ventura while visiting for work. The ambiance were on point with minimalist decor and chill vibes. I got the latte with black sesame and a savory biscuit. Omg both were incredible. I relaxed into my chair and just warmed up my hands on the perfect ceramic cup. Room Service Coffee is the trendy new coffee spot in Ventura offering both coffee and pastries. I have been here on a few different occasions trying both basic coffees like the iced vanilla late and their specialty coffees. I was not very impressed by the vanilla late as it didn't taste like there was any vanilla in it, and while the specialty coffees are perfectly tasty, they are much too expensive for your average coffee break. The service is always excellent, the staff are very friendly and they give out super cute stickers. They are often pretty busy but also a nice study or work spot. If you are staying in they will serve your coffee and pastry in nice mugs and on plates which adds to the experience. The team here is incredibly friendly, and I was impressed with how quickly they moved the line while still serving up gorgeous, carefully crafted coffees. When I got here the line was a few people deep but from ordering, sitting, and getting my order it was all done in under 10 minutes. Impressive for a busy popular shop. Also kudos to the staff for calling your name when your orders ready, immediately appreciate this touch (vs places that call out a coffee order and multiple people run up) and something so small helps with my order anxiety lol. Their fall specials are a must try as they are the most perfect flavors to sip on as the weather cools down. Excellent addition to the area! We make stops in their parking lot quite often to charge our car whenever we come back from down south. To our surprise this time, Room Service was open! Luckily, the hubby decided to check it out. I wasn't going to get anything and just stay in the car instead, since it was just a convenience stop for us. I got a vanilla latte with almond milk since they have very limited options for syrup flavors. Both latte have beautiful latte art, but for the size, they're both a little overpriced. 2 stars They have 3 baristas that day behind the counter. However, my drink seems to take a little longer to get out and they didn't seem that busy either. 0.5 star Since we stop here often, if they still open when we get here, we'll definitely pay them another visit, especially for those pies, which I didn't get to try this time.
