This was my first visit, and unfortunately it will probably be my last. The employee with the bridge piercing was incredibly rude, cold, and dismissive from the moment I ordered. I was trying to ask simple questions about the drink flavors, and instead of being helpful, she acted annoyed that I was asking. It made me feel uncomfortable enough that I stopped asking questions and just ordered something safe. When I asked if the drink could be made less sweet, I was immediately told no. I've been to plenty of coffee shops that are happy to make small adjustments for customers, so the unwillingness to accommodate a simple request was disappointing. To make matters worse, she asked for my name and still got it wrong, charged me extra for cold foam, and the cold foam itself was not good at all. Paying extra for something that tasted bad only added to the frustration. Everyone has bad days, but customer service shouldn't make customers feel like they're a burden for placing an order. The attitude alone was enough to make me not want to come back. There are too many coffee shops with friendly, welcoming staff to spend money somewhere that makes customers feel unwelcome. read more

Really cute and cozy coffee shop in Ventura and close to the beach. I came by before picking up my race bib for the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon. Packet pickup was happening close to the beach, but I wanted to get some breakfast before heading over. I got myself a matcha and a savory pastry to consume alongside it. The matcha was *perfectly* sweetened---so many places do matcha SO wrong, so I treasure any place that is able to capture the essence of matcha while maintaining a sweet flavor. The pastry was crispy, flaky, and full of savory flavor. The sesame seeds were a nice touch. I was able to sit at the bench by the wall inside the shop, though there isn't too much seating. You can peek into the kitchen as there is an open window area by the wall. Service was simple and fast. If you are in the area, it is worth checking out! read more

We got the lavender horchata latte and that tiramisu toffee latte! And the kids got lavender horchata steamers (no coffee)! we loved our drinks and the cookies! We got the chocolate chip cookie and the cranberry oatmeal cookie! My ONLY complaint is that they were out of the specials when we got here at 2pm. Stumbled upon Room Service Coffee when I stopped to charge my car. Fabulous chill space. Very knowledgeable staff/baristas! Solid cappuccino and several interesting looking seasonal flavored offerings as well. At 1:30pm on a Thursday, they had only sweet baked goods left. Savory options were sold out. I started coming to Room Service Coffee when they were doing the pop ups and was so excited when the shop finally opened! Admittedly I'm a bit delayed in finally writing a review. At this point, my go to order tends to be a biscuit (with the jam and butter) by Skylar Bryce as well as a yummy drink from Room Service. I've tried a variety of their drinks from their seasonal specials to the core staples. Recently, I tried their mocha with a cream top. It was so delicious! It wasn't too sweet, had good flavor, and was the perfect texture. It can definitely get busy on the more popular days to get coffee so be warned about a possible wait! I've been lucky that most of the times I've stopped, I haven't waited more than five minutes. The staff is always very welcoming and helpful. I will definitely continue to return! read more

Perfect spot after a hike in April. It was definitely a busy Saturday morning, but totally worth the wait. While waiting, we decided on the drinks we wanted to try. This place is my favorite coffee shop I tried in Ventura while visiting for work. The ambiance were on point with minimalist decor and chill vibes. I got the latte with black sesame and a savory biscuit. Omg both were incredible. I relaxed into my chair and just warmed up my hands on the perfect ceramic cup. The biscuit came with a whipped butter cream cheese and that paired so perfectly with the everything bagel seasoning. Loved it so much that I got beans to go for my team to try out. Room Service Coffee is the trendy new coffee spot in Ventura offering both coffee and pastries. I have been here on a few different occasions trying both basic coffees like the iced vanilla late and their specialty coffees. I was not very impressed by the vanilla late as it didn't taste like there was any vanilla in it, and while the specialty coffees are perfectly tasty, they are much too expensive for your average coffee break. The service is always excellent, the staff are very friendly and they give out super cute stickers. They are often pretty busy but also a nice study or work spot. If you are staying in they will serve your coffee and pastry in nice mugs and on plates which adds to the experience. I'm always on the road, and Anaheim is one of my favorite stops, but after finding this spot, I already know this is going to be my new Anaheim oasis. When I got here the line was a few people deep but from ordering, sitting, and getting my order it was all done in under 10 minutes. Impressive for a busy popular shop. Also kudos to the staff for calling your name when your orders ready, immediately appreciate this touch (vs places that call out a coffee order and multiple people run up) and something so small helps with my order anxiety lol. Their fall specials are a must try as they are the most perfect flavors to sip on as the weather cools down. Excellent addition to the area! We make stops in their parking lot quite often to charge our car whenever we come back from down south. To our surprise this time, Room Service was open! Luckily, the hubby decided to check it out. I wasn't going to get anything and just stay in the car instead, since it was just a convenience stop for us. Their restroom is also clean, which is a big bonus since we could always use a pit stop whenever we stop here to charge our car. 1 star. The hubby got their fall special drink of japanese black sugar latte. It was good, but I don't think it's $10 good. I got a vanilla latte with almond milk since they have very limited options for syrup flavors. Both latte have beautiful latte art, but for the size, they're both a little overpriced. 2 stars They have 3 baristas that day behind the counter. However, my drink seems to take a little longer to get out and they didn't seem that busy either. 0.5 star Since we stop here often, if they still open when we get here, we'll definitely pay them another visit, especially for those pies, which I didn't get to try this time. By the time I got to the front, they were sold out of the savory hand pies (spinach feta) so I ordered the biscuit with honey butter instead and the strawberry coconut cloud matcha. I got my biscuit right away - each bite was fluffy, buttery, and sweet. The drink was light, hydrating, and subtly sweet and creamy. I had the opportunity this morning to pop in at the Room Service coffee pop-up. They are not officially open yet but are doing pop ups on the weekends from 9am-sell out. The recommendation is to get there early because the line can get long. I got there around 9:45 and although the line was long, it went by smoothly. It seems they are offering their full menu and also Skylar Bryce is there with her delicious baked goods. Today I tried the Orange Blossom Latte and it was a dream. The flavors were subtle but the latte was perfection. The milk frothed to a velvety foam that I live for. Once I see that, I know I have the perfect latte. They are serving a 12oz latte but don't let that disappoint you. It is so rich that it just works. Although I am secretly hoping they will offer the bigger sizes in the future. For my pastry I chose the Peach Hand Pie. This was such a treat. The crust was buttery and flaky with baked in sugar and the peach filling was sweet and full of flavor. I felt like I was on vacation with every bite and sip. I highly recommend sitting in the patio at the S. Hemlock St. entrance. You will feel transported into bliss and peace. Atmosphere: 5/5. I was excited to visit after seeing the beautiful Slayer espresso machine and loved the window that lets you watch the bakers at work. I placed an online order that said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We ordered two drinks, the tiramisu latte and the blood orange crème brûlée latte. We arrived about 15 minutes after ordering and then waited an additional 8 minutes. When we finally checked in at the counter, our drinks hadn't been started yet, despite the café being very slow (only about five other customers seated). I've been a barista for four years and have honestly never seen two drinks take this long under these conditions. The staff was friendly, but the service was extremely slow. When the drinks finally came out, they were visually stunning, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor. The crème brûlée latte had only a faint hint of coffee, barely any syrup, and mostly tasted like milk. The tiramisu drink had a delicious cream top, but again, very little coffee flavor overall. Especially disappointing given the drinks are only 12 oz. To top it off, the total came to $20.75 for two drinks, not including tip. For that price point, I expected much more in both flavor and execution. Overall, beautiful space and presentation, but the value and consistency just weren't there for me. read more

I really had high hopes for this place. I went when they were just a mere shack outside. I am sad to say, it was mid back then and it is mid now. I got an iced vanilla latte which I believe is a pretty basic drink to evaluate the quality of the coffee and it was subpar and watered down. I heard their matcha was good, but I haven't tried and I don't plan on it. The vibe in the shop was cool and futuristic but the employees made no notable impression except making me uncomfortable as they stared at me while I read the menu.
