the coffees were really good - the matcha is comparable to starbucks (it's sweet) and the bagels are NOT traditional bagels. This place is located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking you order at the counter and they have plenty of freshly baked bagels that are massive. They also have flavored cream cheese is available and they also have specialty sandwiches to choose from.. I ordered their crazy turkey on a dry onion bagel with strawberry cream cheese and this was phenomenal. I loved how the strawberry cream cheese was fresh. I like my bagel served open face. I was craving a bagel and it was so lucky that I was near the cafe. They had a great variety of bagel sandwich options and you could also customize your order. The bagel was so fresh and soft it was easy to bite into. It was cool to watch them hand make the bagels. I really liked the ruben sandwich the meat was very tender. The person who took our order was very nice and patience with us because it took us a while to decide what we wanted. The little shop is so cute! I'm not gonna lie, this might have been the best bagel sandwich I have ever had. We stopped by here after our morning workout and let me tell you this was the best place to refuel at. The inside was pretty small with not much seating, but there is additional seating outside, or you can take in the SoCal weather and eat on the beach like we did. The lady working was also so kind and thoughtful and truly made it a wonderful experience. I decided on a breakfast sandwich with ham egg and cheese which just melted in my mouth. I love cheese so I paid $1 extra for it to be on a 5-cheese bagel which was totally worth it and I would highly recommend. This review is tough because it's the tale of two things. Thing 1. The bathroom I was driving from San Diego to meet my sister in law, who lives in Ventura. I had to hit the bathroom after a couple of hours in the car. I walked through a dirty door, into a room with a broken fan in the middle of the room, and a shelf with a bunch of random things: cleaning supplies, pots with dead plants in them, dirty towels, and someone's new-ish looking shoes. The toilet had not been cleaned in a while. The handle to flush the toilet was missing. In it's place was a string sticking out of where the handle should be. This makes you think: If this dirt and lack of cleaning is ok in the bathroom, is it also ok in the kitchen? Thing 2. The food/service We opted to stay despite the terrible first impression. There was a very short line that went quickly. The cashier was friendly and answered a few questions for us. My sister in law was happy to learn they accepted the Twism coupon app and got us 2 for 1 coffees. We waited a reasonable time outside on one of their 5 patio tables until they brought us our coffees, then our food. The coffee was very good, the bagel was tasty, and a good value for the price. My sister in law and I discussed the bathroom situation and we feel it's enough that we would rather go somewhere else that is cleaner than return to Bagelicious Cafe. A little bit of cleaning, organization, and a $12 toilet handle would change all of this. read more

Considering the rating I was expecting more. The bagels are decent but I wouldn't say they are a solid "good". The bagels weren't your average bagel consistency. My 5-cheese bagel tasted like a slice of dry bread. I didn't like the sausage they used in my bagel sandwich. It's also pretty expensive, $43 for 2 bagel sandwiches, a coffee, & a chai. My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on our way home from our trip. The bagels did not disappoint! You could tell they are freshly made and delicious. Alma, you were a delight to talk to!! I've had this place bookmarked for a while now, and today I wanted to try something new and nearby my house. As other reviewers have mentioned, it can be a little tricky to find, but it's worth the effort. I ordered a Yucateco bagel with everything gluten-free bagel. The bagel was warm and filled with pork loin, coleslaw, chipotle dressing, and jalapeños. Wow, that was so satisfying and full of flavor! I want to go back to try more of their food. Unfortunately, the rainbow bagel can't be made gluten-free because it's too much work to make. But that's understandable, and I appreciate that they at least have some gluten-free options. They also have a drink menu that includes coffee, chai, and Mexican hot chocolate, which Alma told me is their best seller. I'll have to go back to try it some other day. Although the restaurant has just a few tables inside and outside, it feels cozy and comfortable. Most people probably take their food to go anyways. Omg best Bagels!! We were hanging out in Ventura and didn't realize everything would be so slammed on Mother's Day so we found this Bagel place and OMG the LOX!!!!! It was the freshest bagel and a little different than your average bagel, in a good way! It was so soft and fresh and not at all rubbery and dense like a NY bagel. Visited here with a pal a few weeks back. It was raining like a mofo but we needed fuel before bowling practice (necessary!) I got a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese (classic) and boy was that thang blue. Thought it might stain my tongue blue --- it didn't, but if it had, it woulda been worth it! My badge of honor!!!! And then I got an everything with the works: lox, onion, caper. They gave me a nice mound of capers, which I appreciated. Many (if not most) places skimp on capers (cheap!). The location is a little tricky for the first time, as it is technically behind the businesses' front entry on E Main St. It is to the left of the 99 Cent store rear side. Irma & Mia are outstandingly friendly, treating EVERYONE like favorite family. We didn't get a chance to interface with Irma's son, but he was busting the world's record for making pickup orders. The food was superb, the bagels themselves were fresh made, most seemed to be based on egg bagels, which most bagel bakeries have stopped making.
