This place is 5 minutes from where I'm staying currently, and it's in a sea of Cuban restaurants. Florida has an abundance of 2 things Salt Life bumper stickers and Cuban restaurants/bakeries. This one has earned the 4 Star from me after much more work than others. This one is a 4 after going several times and trying several items on the menu. I had the palomilla steak with rice beans, maduros and salad. Wow, this hit the spot. It was all really really delicious and hot and seasoned, good portions. Service is where they could do better. They mean well but just aren't into it. They forget about you, and easily forget things you ask for haha. Anyway, I still enjoy eating here. For $8-10 dollars you will walk out full! read more

I went to Rincon a lot, they had good prices and the food was good. One issue was they never let me see the cost breakdown at checkout, they would spin the card reader around and quickly hit next. On my last visit I saw the cost breakdown, after they raised their prices to rival Outback. They added an 18% tip to a two person lunch. I refuse to go back. There are plenty of Cuban restaurants to choose from. This one got too greedy. read more

Had lunch here today with my family and it was absolutely delicious. It is your everyday cuban diner style restaurant. Just a few servers and not super clean but nothing out of the norm. The waitress gave us a good suggestion on food which we loved. They have daily specials for like $6, the cuban sandwiches range from $4-$7 and all the other entrees weren't more than $10 or $12. Cuban sandwich was good, but not great. A lot pork one bite, a lot ham another, some of the meat was in chunks, some sliced, from an engineering standpoint it was a mess. But it all tasted good, just didn't taste like a Cuban sandwich. Black beans didn't have a lot of flavor. We used to love going here but lately the quality of the food and the service has really deteriorated. Most recently we stopped in for breakfast. They were out of chiccharonis. Ok no problem...not exactly healthy anyway. The biggest issue we had was the Cuban sandwich. It wasn't even pressed or warmed up. I stopped in here after a few hours at the batting cage. This diner/luncheonette style restaurant is a nice place to go for a good authentic Cuban meal. The staff were as friendly as I've ever come across. They became even more friendly once I "accidentally" responded to them in Spanish. I say accidentally because I try not to speak Spanish in Spanish speaking establishments because I like to hear what's going on (food ninja). The Cuban sandwich was perfect. Crisp bread, perfectly cooked pork, fresh pickles (and I hate pickles), etc. They also have fresh chicharron!! Not that store bought bagged crap. When i got there to pick it up she tells me that my order was NEVER placed and that what i wanted was NO LONGER available. I was very upset NO ONE tried to accomodate me or even apologized. My family and I have been here multiple times. While pregnant I craved batido de trigo (brings back home memories and by home I mean Miami). We have had steak sandwiches more bread than anything steak has been hard a few times and others not so much. Rabo has been nothing like what abuela use to make but we ordered it once and never again. Pastelitos and croquetas I have had better but they are decent. Coffee I have never had complaints on.
