    Pan con bistec

Stopped by Rinconcito Latino around 3 PM on a Thursday and had another great experience. I ordered the pan con bistec, my son had the vaca frita with white rice and tostones, and my mom got the boliche with white rice and plantains. Everything was delicious, but the vaca frita was honestly the star of the table -- it's my favorite dish here, and the portion was huge. Easily 2-3 people could share it. The only downside was the complimentary bread. They used to bring out amazing Cuban bread, and now it's just basic dinner rolls. I really hope they switch back because it made a difference. Aside from that, everything else was perfect. The location is super convenient, close to West Miami, and even though the shopping plaza gets busy, I usually find parking without a problem. Service was good and the food came out fast -- something I've always appreciated about this place. I used to eat here weekly when I lived down the street, and I'm happy to see they've kept the same great quality after all these years. Highly recommend!

I was in the need for a Cuban coffee so I ordered a colada. I got my mom two croquetas and I ordered an orange juice. They do have a $5 minimum when you order with card. The associate in the window was super sweet and took care of me. I came back to get colada for the Vet staff that took care of my dog.

El Rinconcito Latino has been a lunch staple for me for years, can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. It's in a tight shopping center, so parking can be limited, especially during the lunch rush. Inside is always clean, there's some TVs around, and the waitresses are very friendly. The food has always been consistently good, even throughout all these years. You can always pass by la ventanita for a quick grab.

Prepare to test your Spanish speaking skills! I was a little intimidated by that when we first walked in. However, they were accommodating and found a server who spoke both English and Spanish to attend to us while we dined in. My boyfriend was raving about how much he wanted to come back to this restaurant since the last time he was in Miami. Unfortunately, the item he wanted was available that day because it was a special item served on Sundays only and we came in on a Thursday. I ordered the Batido de Mango (Mango Shake) and Sandwich Cubano Regular. The mango shake was really good and refreshing since it was so hot that day! It was more like a smoothie to me rather than a shake. The Cubano sandwich was good, and filling! I didn't eat it all and had to save it for later that evening.

In the area taking care of some errands when we needed to get a bite to eat. I've been eating at this spot for a while and it's was a good place to eat. I ordered the vaca sub and my wife ordered the pan con lechón. The service was good. The bread rolls were hard and the taste was bland. The pan con lechón was average but the vaca sub didn't have much taste. It was not that smart as I recall it. Too bad because they used to make some good food here. Not trying to be mean but it's probably the last time I'll be eating here.

I give few 5 star reviews but this place has earned it, so long as you keep in mind this is a local restaurant catering to not just the Cuban palate, but also it's cultural norms. It's inexpensive, fast, and serves some of the best Cuban food in Miami. (You'd think there were a lot of good Cuban restaurants in Miami, but among the mostly mediocre this place is a standout.) I came here last Saturday for a late breakfast and found sometime since the last time I was here they'd renovated, giving the place an updated modern feel, still casual but almost trendy. We had the ham croquetas, which were flavorful with a crispy light crust and served hot, fresh out of the fryer. I ordered the Perico Ripiado, which is scrambled eggs mixed with ham, onions, peppers, and tomatoes. All the ingredients were fresh and the eggs were cooked perfectly, not dry but also not runny. The accompanying fries were the perfect size and crisp but not overdone. I drink American coffee and they make a surprisingly good cup. The Cuban bread used in the toast was a little dry for me but that was just the luck of the draw as my wife's was perfect. She ordered the vegetarian omelet, with tomatoes, onions, green peppers and mushrooms, which she said was also perfectly cooked and it was obvious the ingredients were fresh. The service was fast, professional, and efficient. This is still my #1 go to place when I want good Cuban food with no fuss.

Food: the salad was freshly cut. The French fries were fried perfectly; crispy enough that as you chew it could be heard a mile away. Ambience: Friendly and warm; I felt like I was eating at my grandmas. Love it !

Excellent location and pleasant dining room. The dishes are abundant and the food is delicious. I ordered the pork quesadilla as an appetizer for my table and it looked as a main dish. The beef soup is amazing. The vaca frita is huge and tender. Tasty and reasonable price. I recommend it!

The standout of the entire meal was the tres leches French toast an absolute 10/10. It was rich, perfectly sweet, and honestly one of the best brunch items I've had. The seasonal fruit platter was also a 10/10 so fresh and beautifully presented with honeydew, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, and a side of blueberry yogurt that tied everything together perfectly. The breakfast burrito, however, was more of a 5/10 very basic and didn't stand out compared to the other dishes we tried. Overall, the experience was still enjoyable, especially because of the incredible French toast and fresh fruit platter. I'd definitely come back for those alone, but I'd probably explore different savory options next time.

The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
