Just landed and came straight here from our hotel. Read the reviews as we wanted authentic Cuban food! The service was quick and we tried our best to speak Spanish but they understand English too. We loved our server. The fried pork (crispy on the outside and so tender and yummy inside!) Sunday special dinner! Fried plantains were scrumptious and the rice w/beans were delicious. Hubby enjoyed his Cuban sandwich was big and yummy too. The cut little French fries topped it off. It's a local favorite! But the wine collection! Wow! The desserts look amazing too! Hope to try !

Estoy esperando el día en que en este restaurante tu pidas un Sándwich Cubano y solo te den una tostada Cubana. Ya este Sándwich Cubano va por dos lasquitas de jamón un pedazo de puerco y una de queso.

the food was veryyyy good and fresh tasting, they were attentive, was not too busy for a weekend, i wish i lived closer to come more often

Nice Cuban restaurant that would be easily missed by anyone who blinks an eye. The restaurant itself is not too large so it fills up pretty quickly. The food is no frills delicious and packs a large portion. I've had the fish fillet, vaca frita, and lechon - my favorite is the fish, but everything here is delicious. Service is attentive and friendly. Will return.

Due to logistics and having to catch a plane home, we couldn't get over to Little Havana for our first choice of Cuban restaurants. However, this spot worked for us during a last minute pinch for our Cuban craving. We ordered a pastry, cafe con leche, and Cubano coffee to start. This was delicious and gave us a much needed caffeine jolt. For entrees I ordered a Miami sandwich and my BF had the Cubano sandwich. My Miami sandwich was absolutely delicious, it was basically a club sandwich but perfect. Just enough mayo and the perfect bite each time. The Cubano wasn't great and I was surprised. You'd think it would be the other way around at a Cuban restaurant. Also, there weren't any pickles on it and I'm pretty sure that is a missing ingredient on a Cubano sandwich. Odd. Overall, it did the trick in a pinch, but their signature sandwich was a let down.

What an amazing lunch! The menu, staff, and food were all amazing (plus it's a great price). We had a group of four and were seated and served quickly. We loved everything we tried (see photos) - the steak, chicken, beans, rice, and Cuban were on-point and 10/10 recommend. The only thing we did not like was the croquette - just not what we expected from having them in the past and was more just fried potato-texture with salty ham taste.

This Reconcito thang is either a chain of Excellent Cuban/Latin cuisine restaurants or they have bottled the mom/pop feel with home cooking selections. The taste and quality only mama or your grandma would have waiting for you during lunch or dinner. This location has a outdoor patio and indoor seating that gives you the feeling you're in Europe or Cuba, F#%K South Beach. Food is fresh and simple but only simple if you're generationally connected to the traditional recipes of faraway food masters. All dishes are yummy fresh and not over the top flavored l. Staff is funny and fast looks like a house full of my aunts.

The shop is small with only the shared outdoor seating with other nearby restaurants. The Pan Con Bistec was very tasty and I liked the crispy bits inside. The flavor of the sauce could have been more pronounced but otherwise a really good sandwich. The Pan con Lechon was okay overall because it tasted very one note flavor and texture wise. The meat was moist and tender but I preferred the Bistec and the Cubano. They also provided a garlic dipping sauce which was very flavorful. However I felt that it overpowered a lot of the sandwich flavors. I also got the Mamey Batida which was smooth and subtle with its sweetness. My first time having a Batida and I really liked the consistency but will probably be choose a different flavor next time.

During live performances, one waitress would get up on stage and play instruments and at other times bartenders would join in. I was truly smiling from ear to ear all night. I drank delicious mojitos all night and even with a packed venue the drinks came out extremely fast! Although the restaurant was packed, our waitress remained extremely kind and attentive throughout the night. To me, the food was just good. We had the Jamón Serrano Croquetas to start. They were a little cold for my taste and not the best I've ever had but they weren't bad. My husband really loved his skirt steak ropa vieja and didn't leave a single grain of rice. I opted for the rabo encendido pasta. I like that they weren't skimpy on the rabo. The downside of this place is that to maximize space, you're packed in like sardines. The tables are basically on top of each other. A larger sized person would not fit getting in and out of their seat and my husband was constantly backing up into the people seated behind him. Overall, this is a place you definitely visit for the atmosphere above food. I will 100% be coming back for drinks, appetizers and more live music. It is an incredible spot especially for those looking for Cuban nostalgia.

But what really set it apart was the crispy crusted bread. Spectacular! The chicharrones (4/5) were a steal - MASSIVE portion for like $5. Insane deal, and delicious. The cuban nachos (4.5/5) had their amazing sauce and garlic confit lechon on it. Delicious and would order both again. Overall, this is a tourist spot but one I don't think can be missed.
