I've been all over this country and this is one of the best coffee shops around the people here are outstanding. The service is top-tier, the coffee and food are exceptional, there's nothing not to like about this place. If you're in California it's worth stopping by.

One of the best parts of Yelp is finding those diamonds in the rough. Rio Java Coffee House is easy to miss in the Food 4 Less shopping center at Rio Linda Blvd and Elkhorn, but it is worth a drive. You can literally see the Starbucks across the street from inside the coffee shop! Parking is decent and shared with the rest of the center. The outside is rather unassuming, but the sticker on the front door announcing their use of Temple Coffee was a really good sign. Inside, the owners have turned a rather basic commercial space into a nice and homey design with soft furniture and fun signs on the wall. The menu is rather expansive with a focus on espresso drinks. They do offer prepackaged food. On my visit I got a nice espresso and an old fashioned Moon Pie. The wait time was a bit long, but there was only one person working so that is expected. The coffee was worth the wait especially given the lack of good places in the area. The basic espresso was pulled nicely, and the other customers seemed to enjoy their drinks as well. Now that we are coming out of our COVID shells, it is a perfect time to meet a friend at a coffee shop. Rio Java Coffee House is perfect for those living in Rio Linda, but it is also a short drive from North Natomas or North Highlands too. A little rough around the edges, but who isn't these days!

The Iced White Is my favorite! But everything I've had from there is good! The owners and all the employees are just absolutely wonderful.

Best drinks. Blended drinks are way better than Starbucks. Worth the wait. If you're in a hurry, call it in.

Well let's talk about my most recent visit to Pinkberry in Natomas located on N Freeway Blvd. So I am part of their rewards program and have been for many years. What they offer for their birthday rewards is $5.00 of any order-so I know that a small yogurt with unlimited toppings costs $7.99-so with my birthday rewards-this would only be a $2.99 item-which felt like a great deal. This yogurt shop is located in a multi tenant shopping center anchored by Target and "BJ's"-so parking is plentiful. When I arrived I was the only customer-during the extent of my visit only 2 other customers came in-not sure if it's because it's just a slow time or if they just don't have a lot of customers. The worker was super friendly and I placed my order of a small pomegranate flavor yogurt with raspberries-strawberries-pineapple & blueberries. It was made perfectly-it tasted so light and with all the fruit toppings almost felt healthy-it was a truly guilt-free treat-I enjoyed it thoroughly. In closing-when I left this Pinkberry location,I was very happy with their product and the price and like I said earlier,I want to make sure I come back here more often-awesome experience.

This was such a great experience. The place is clean, the staff is super nice and very helpful, and what more could you ask for?! They generously offered us samples, all of which were phenomenal. I've always been a fan of their original flavor. It's tart, slightly sweet, and you can enjoy it as is or with the tons of toppings that they offer. If you want to do it upright, you definitely want to pair it with another flavor, or create your own creation with some of the other flavors. The mango is absolutely perfect. It's sweet, creamy, and doesn't have that too much of a good thing flavor. It absolutely is just right. The toppings range from boba, fruit, to a variety of sweet items (candies) This is definitely a place that we will be visiting often. You should too!

So good! Their classic milk is my favorite, but the cookies and cream, or Thai tea is also delicious. Somisomi is know for their boong uh ppang, or taiyaki and it's so delicious as well. They also do ah-boong, where they serve the soft serve in the taiyaki. Somisomi is a chain, but they have the best soft serve in town! This time I tried the cold brew float and the amount of soft serve and the quality of cold brew was great for just 5.95 (at the time of writing). There was only one employee working on the weekend. I went with the Matcha x Milk swirl topped with Oreo crumbs and a strawberry. As a matcha lover, I did find the flavor really mild I prefer a more matcha-forward taste rather than rich, heavy creaminess. However, since they aren't a specialized matcha shop, it's still a decent option. I've noticed the soft serve isn't quite as premium as it used to be years ago. It melted incredibly fast( which might indicated mostly air ) and the flavor was lacking. Service was friendly and quick, there's no seating just a long bar table for people to stand. It's still a fun spot and a good addition to the Natomas food scene

I've always loved Cold Stone Creamery, since the first time I walked into this magical place and…read morestill 20+ years later, the love I have for this spot has no limits. Why this place has a special place in my heart is I remember when my father was ill and he was homebound,I would come visit him every Sunday and his request to me was always the same. "Can you bring me some Cold Stone with the mix I like?" The crazy mix consisted of chocolate ice cream with a mix in of Twix, Kit Kat, Snickers, a brownie & fresh strawberries. It's such an odd mix that shouldn't work but for some reason he loved it to death-so I always brought it for him and we would sit there and we both eat this crazy Cold Stone mix and just spend time together. Well fast forward 20+ years and even though I can't go visit my father anymore, I still can get the crazy mix he loved at Cold Stone and that's what I did at a recent visit to the location in Natomas on Natomas Boulevard. Parking at this location is awesome-it's a huge lot with lots of spaces,so it's never a problem grabbing a spot. There was a pretty big line when I got there-it didn't move too quickly but that's expected when most people are taking the time to make their own custom ice cream mix. Sara was the employee who was helping me when it was my turn and I have to say, she was so friendly, so efficient with my odd mix and did all she could to make me feel like I got an incredible value for my purchase. She put together my mix so perfectly that when I got home to have some with the family, it brought me back to some really great memories of enjoying this exact flavor with my father. The size I get is what they call the "Ours" size which is equivalent to a quart (32 ounces) and it runs $13.95. For this particular visit I had a $5 off promo,so it was much cheaper. In closing, I would like to reiterate I've always loved this place and it's great to know the location closest to my house is putting out a real high-quality product and I will not hesitate to head back out there whenever I want to stroll down memory lane or maybe just have a sweet tooth. Nice job, Sara!
