My husband stopped by Mochi Cafe to surprise me with a treat after a tough week. He also got himself an ice cream puff. After placing his order via the kiosk, he waited about 10 mins before the worker informed him that they were out of boba. Out of boba? At 12:30pm on a Sunday? Mind you, the store opens at 11am and there were several other customers waiting on drinks with boba. That was odd. Ice Cream Puff: the small dollop of ice cream was almost completely melted by the time he opened the box. I didn't expect it to be so melty during a short, five minute drive. Thai Tea (no boba): The tea tasted so sour. It tasted as if it were made with spoiled milk or with a sour liquid base. Overall, it did not taste good and I couldn't finish it. Korean Corn Dog: My husband ordered a beef/cheese corn dog. However, it was an all cheese dog. At least the first cheese pull was good. read more

Came one evening to get some boba and mochi donuts. Ordering from the kiosk was easy. The wait wasn't too long for the drinks even though there was only one staff working. The staff were also really nice. I picked the donuts I wanted but there was no signage indicating what flavors they were. I did ask and just picked the ones that looked familiar. The drinks were a decent size but had a different taste than I was expecting. It was hard to explain, almost like the tea had a thicker consistency than I'm used to. Our family of 4 stopped in on Tuesday evening for dinner. Upon entering the staff member was nice and they had plenty of indoor seating available! This included a selfie wall with a beautiful couch! My hubby split the Ube Oreo Milkshake with Boba with our eldest to save on the sugar, Chicken Egg Rolls as an appetizer, Original Korean Corndog with Beef Sausage and Cajun Korean Corndog with Beef Sausage. My eldest ordered the Takis Korean Corndog with 1/2 Beef Sausage and 1/2 Mozzarella and a Pumpkin Spice Mochi Donut for dessert. I ordered the Potato Korean Corndog with Mozzarella. We all thought the Korean Corndogs were absolutely mouthwatering, definitely cheese-pull worthy! The drink was spot on with flavor and nice and sweet! Our eldest loved her donut! Restrooms were out of order, but they did have hand sanitizer. If you're bored they have Guess Who?, Life, Connect Four, Uno and Jenga! The drinks are pretty typical. The ube oreo milkshake was just OK. I wouldn't get it again. It's very sweet. I should've got 50% sweetness but that's my fault. The Korean corn dog was decent. It was a little bit oily since it came out fresh. The store is large with a good amount of seating. It's located inside the same parking lot as Goodwill and Arby's. There's plenty of parking here. Upon walking in, the exterior is pretty nice with more than plenty of seating. You order directly from the kiosk on the wall, which makes it pretty easy. I ordered a sausage corn dog with potatoes (the potatoes cost extra). Unfortunately it costs extra money to add sugar to the corn dog , which is different than the other Korean hot dog places I've been to (where they give it for free). It took a hot minute to finally get the food from the kitchen, but they had some games you could play while you wait. Upon getting the food, the corn dog was pretty average and did not have a special taste. They charge extra for dipping sauce that isn't ketchup or mustard. I think this Korean corn dog unfortunately gets really expensive since they charge for every extra thing. I also had a taste of some of their mochi donuts and their brown sugar boba drink. The mochi donuts tasted a bit bland and it needed more sugar to add some flavor. Then, the brown sugar drink was overtly sweet that I ended up getting sugared out. I think there are some things they need to work on before I would come back. It also didn't help that both of their bathrooms are out of commission. Also, while we were eating, the music cut out, and my partner and I just ended up whispering, since it was awkward to talk at a normal conversation volume as you could hear everything someone was saying. read more

This location seems to be struggling with business as they have no more than one MAYBE occasionally two people working at once. I came in for 2 bobas and there was no one else here, after I arrived 2 more customers came in and ordered. It took half an hour for the employee to make 2 simple teas, may I suggest we work on time management skills? Or maybe have more than 1 person working if possible. Customer service of the 1 employee who was working is lacking... one customer walked in and was ignored for about 5 mins not even greeted or told " we will be right with you" after the employee had clearly seen her waiting... Communication is key and could be improved greatly. A business can look nice and modern as this one does but in order to survive there needs to be some kind of customer service. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience here. We walked into the store and stood at an empty counter for 2-3 min until someone came out from the back. Then was told to use the iPad to order. My wife advised we were here for the Yelp event, and then asked what we wanted. We order two single scoop ice creams on the iPad, which took a very long time to get. I actually had to go up and remind him we ordered. He then proceeded to make the ice cream but then did not tell us they were ready at the counter. They sat there until I walked up and asked if they were ready. The store was dirty with napkins and crumbs on the table tables. We will not be coming back. read more

Finally checked out the new Mochi Cafe today! It was a bit of a drive for us but they have a great street-side location with big open windows and plenty of tables and bar seating. We ordered quite a bit of things but the wait was not bad at all considering everything we ordered and other customers coming in too. - Drinks: My favorite was the peach tea. It was very refreshing, I wish I would've looked more at the toppings menu because it would've paired well with strawberry bits! The honeydew milk tea brought me back to my early boba days when I used to always order that flavor. The Vietnamese coffee definitely has that kick. The owner mentioned they plan to add more coffee menu items since they are changing the hours to open earlier! - Snacks: can't go wrong with a Korean corn dog! It was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were not over fried at all. It was great with the spicy mayo, which I actually started to use with our other fries. I loved seeing curly fries on the menu since you can't get them everywhere. I also ordered the loaded fries with hot cheetos. It was a good amount for $8.95, I just wish there was an optional add-on for protein! Definitely a shareable snack option. - Mochi Donuts: I've had so many of these that I don't really crave them but we had to get them for the kids. I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed them! The chocolate churro one in particular was so good, and it was probably the freshest mochi donut I've had! Anything mochi goes stale really fast so the freshness was much appreciated. It's a very weird atmosphere for some reason. Always empty and one employee who is always in the back and I had to call for him to come out. Maybe music would improve the vibe. Food was good according to my kids. They liked playing a board game at our table. Horrible service and the Korean cheese dog was raw inside. The batter was not cooked all the way through and was pretty gross getting mixed up with the cheese. Update: management at this location made an honest effort in trying to correct the problems with my visit and order. I had been here once before and thought it was just okay. This time, I stopped again purely out of convenience on my way home. Yesterday, my friend and I ordered a half & half corndog with potato, a full cheese corndog with potato, regular fries, and an ube Oreo shake (same shake I had the first time). I was the very first customer of the day, arriving right at opening time (noon). There was only one employee working, so the order took quite a while to be completed. Unfortunately, the food was noticeably overcooked, the oil on the fries tasted "off" and the meal not as good as my previous visit. Which, to be honest, was only "okay" to begin with. Much worse, a few hours later both my friend and I became very sick. I won't go into details, but it involved many trips to the bathroom throughout the evening and all night. A full day later, I'm still nauseous with no appetite, and my friend experienced the same symptoms and is still severely struggling as I write this review, more than 24 after eating Mochi Cafe. We're confident it came from this meal, as we both ate very little that day and only shared this food. Given the quality, long wait, and especially getting sick afterward, I won't be returning. They are so nice here and the store is very clean! We went because Google state they were gluten-free (they are not). However, the mochi donuts are delicious!! I will deal with my consequences because I HAD to try the Fruit Loop Mochi Donut!! It was like eating a bowl of my favorite childhood cereal!! I also got an Original Milk Tea with half sweetness. It was PERFECT!!! My final take- if you have Celiac, maybe not for us, but their mochi donuts ARE to die for! My family and I love coming every weekend we always have good experience here. On Saturday my husband went in to get a drink for me but when I tried my usual order of Thai milk tea, it was sour so I think it had gone bad. So I called to let the shop know what was going on and who ever I spoke with was very helpful. They offered to replace my drink and gave us free donuts the next time we came in which was very kind of them.
