Food is excellent! Scallops were tasty but pricey ($24 for 3, no sides) and cold. Place is noisy so don't expect a quiet evening. Very small as well so be sure to make a reservation. Also be sure to read the wine menu carefully. I thought I ordered a $10 glass of wine. Turns out $10 was for a HALF of a glass so the "full" glass was $20! Who orders a half of glass of wine anyway?! The meal was insanely delicious and they spent a ton of time making sure we had what we needed and felt like we were getting a date night out during all of this craziness. One of the worst experiences of my life was at this place. I was there with another person and everything there seemed really nice at first and I spent around $200 on food and drinks. When I tipped just short of 10% the owner came out, packed the wine bottle I was drinking and told us to leave the place while looking at me angrily.Could have been handled differently. Just shows that some people just act nicely until their expectation is not met. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

My boyfriend and I come to Ripple frequently. We are wine club members at Cooper's Hawk, but enjoy Ripple atmosphere much more. The best part about this wine bar that makes it unique is that they serve liquor and beer in addition to wine. This is great for people who don't drink much wine, but want to come along and check out a new spot. The other great part is that they have a TV, so sports are on for the guys who typically use that as an excuse to say no to wine bars. :) Our overall favorite part is their half bottle wine nights/ happy hour. For just $10 you can get a half bottle of wine! We will keep coming back to Ripple and recommending to friends. read more

My fiance and I have basically made all of our life decisions here, so needless to say it's one of our favorites. Limited seating, but we've only had minor issues (once he had to stand next to me at the bar, but no biggie for us). Wine selection is great, snacking options are wonderful. If you're bringing a friend that isn't so much into wine, there are more options like beer and liquor for them.Service is a bit slow, but in a good way. I really don't like when people check up on you every few minutes when you're trying to have a conversation. The servers can sense when you're ready to order/ready for more/ready to go. Shroom pasta isn't what it sounds like. It's basic orzo with with truffle oil and very heavy garlic cream, plus mushrooms for $15.00. I didn't enjoy it. I let server know. Nothing good came from mentioning it. She took the dish, presented the check and told me to take my time finishing the wine. Too heavy with cream and overwhelmed with truffle. I was disappointed. I came here with my family to celebrate my 22nd and this is without a doubt one of the best restaurants me and my family have been to - and we are huge foodies! What really drew me here was their rather small menu because that's always a sign to me that everything will be good since they've perfected it. We started out with a charcuterie board and it was absolutely divine. The crostini that came with it had a beautiful crunch and the house made jam paired perfectly with every cheese that we got. We also split the Sicilian Flatbread and it was delicious - slightly sweet because of the hot honey but still definitely savory. It was so good my boyfriend got it again for the entree! For my entree, I got the crab cake and I loved how thick the pieces of crab were and it had a great variety of texture. My mom got the beef wellington popovers and they were so cute and small and a great balance of flavor. The mushroom wasn't overwhelming at all and the puff pastry added a delicious carb to the dish. My dad got the beef tenderloin and I tried a bit and it was perfectly tendered and flavorful while not having so many spices that it takes away from the integrity of the meat. They let their ingredients speak for themselves and I loved that. We got the chocolate torte and the salted caramel cheesecake and I loved the portion sizes. They were big enough to split with someone or eat on your own, but they weren't ridiculous. Overall I would highly highly recommend coming here! read more

I absolutely love the Ripple Wine Bar when I come to visit my daughter from Louisville. They have always been so accommodating. And the food and wine are delicious!!! Everything we have eaten there has been fantastic! In fact, I called to make reservations Saturday night and to our disappointment, there were none but then a few minutes later they called me back saying they had found one!!! Great atmosphere for happy hour or a dinner date! Very good selection of farm-to-table appetizers or entrees, all of which are served tapas style. The wine and pour options also make it easy to share a bottle or enjoy tastings of various choices. I only wish that they had flight options to help encourage exploration more easily. Not a welcoming choice when visiting alone. I was looking forward to a great glass of wine and some peace while savoring it on my trip. I chose a seat at the bar with a space on one side in between other folks. When I put my purse on the empty seat, I was bruskly greeted by the bartender and immediately told that I would have to remove it and move down if another larger party came in. I agreed. I was reminded again by the host that I would have to remove my purse (which I was more than willing to do if anyone had shown the slightest interest). At no point did the bartender ask how my wine was or if I wanted food. The party next to me were receiving free popcorn and all kinds of attention since one was connected to the wine industry. I have worked in the restaurant biz and understand how important it is to keep tables/seats moving, however, I would never go here again. The Sangiovese was not worth $10. read more
