92 Miata with greddy turbo kit
Tommy H.

Arik and Jason at rise garage are your trusted source to help tackle any tune up, modifications, or just general maintenance work on Miatas or any make or model. I generally work on my own car but I have limited knowledge on tuning so that's when I entrust the rise garage team for help. Communication was great, I explained the issue I was having with my tune (hitting fuel cut) and high idle so several options were presented to me on how we can go about fixing it. Arik suggested to change the spark plugs first and will look over the data on the tune and adjust it accordingly. I left my car with them for a few days to just go over the car and make sure the car was running good with a safe tune again. They adjusted my timing, boost, and idle. Now the cars afr are looking good, timing was corrected and the boost is a consistent 13psi. I also requested to do a last minute compression check as I was on the way to pick up the car to just make sure the engine was still healthy after years of track abuse and to my relief it's still roughly 200psi across the board! I don't take my cars to shops but when I do I trust my car with rise garage to do the work right and possibly better than I could. Pricing- Reasonable, remember you get what you pay for. The amount of labor and attention to detail and knowledge is what make this shop great. The knowledge to get it done right the first time is worth it and they have plenty of experience with the Miata chassis. Shop space- Clean! Ever been to a restaurant where everything is dirty and you're not sure if you want to eat there? Well I feel the same way when I see a dirty shop. Presentation is a big plus and rise garage does a great job in maintaining a clean work space. Go visit yourself and see what I mean!

High level of comprehension and skill to help most people with nearly any job. I recommend many of my friends to approach Rise Garage when there are some serious things that need to be done such as engine swaps, bushing pressings and replacement, timing belt servicing, and differential assembly. If they can't do it, they certainly can refer you to somebody competent in their Rolodex. Their advice and work is always worth reaching out for.

Arik and team are knowledgeable and have worked on all sorts of cars. I work on my own Miata but I always bring my car to Arik if I need help with anything. He is helpful in recommending what you need for your vehicle and his prices are fair.

I've been a long time customer of rise garage going back to 2020. Arik helped level up my miata by getting me supercharged. He is dedicated to his craft and does not take any short cuts towards his clients. He is meticulous to make sure the work he does is great! He always tries the best to make sure you get the best deal on any parts you might need and ensures good communication during the process. I wouldn't hesitate one bit to bring any future projects his way. If you have a Miata or any car that you love that needs some work done bring it to Rise.

Great work sounds awesome this is my 3 car being worked on here . Will be back for my next projectread more

This place is a legit professional exhaust shop. I searched around based on reviews and past…read moreexperiences with other muffler shop. Some places slap stuff on and send you out. It will work, but not always be the best. This shop takes pride in the work they do. Owner is friendly and personable. I even chatted him up regarding welding, and he openly took the time to teach/show me some things to try as practice to learn better welding. This was not even related my my job!! I consider my job pretty simple... for my skill level (shade tree mechanic). I did not want to deal with it in my driveway. So I needed a shop that I would trust to do it as I would do it. I would take my time and get it right. No Wham,Bamm thank you mamm stuff. Here is an example of the little details you want in a professional shop. When putting on the clamps for the exhaust tips the owner (Sorry, I forgot your name, my bad) rotated the clamps in such a way that they would never be noticeable (clamp bolts) from the rear. This car is low and it probably would not have mattered but I know from experience from other shops that they would have just slapped the clamps on. Would have it worked? Yes. "Professional detail" no. The details matter and that is how you know you are dealing with someone that cares about the service they provide you. My job was a Corsa cat back exhaust on a 2024 Ford Mustang GT. The owner knew exactly what he was doing. Not like some other shops where it just seems like the person is guessing half the time. I work on my own project cars. So I have a certain skill level and sometimes I am that person that is guessing on how to do something. This shop was none of that. Professional and knowledgeable all the way. I will be letting everyone I know about the shop for their exhaust needs. You get what you pay for. The prices at this shop are fair, competitive and totally reasonable. Seriously I felt like I got a bargain just based on how professional the shop was. Side note- The owner has legit welding skills too. I saw examples. I would not hesitate for him to weld anything I needed done. NOT RELATED TO THIS SHOP AT ALL... Just a personal rant about some Yelp reviewers... Again NOT RELATED to this shop or any reviews of this shop...My two cents on Yelp reviews overall where people say they felt over-charged or they know they can get something cheaper. Look, you are paying for someone's skill and overhead (of the business). Stop thinking it is okay to scr3w skilled professionals of their labor because you think it SHOULD cost less. Seems you do not have the skills or understand the knowledge need to do skilled jobs you want someone to preform for you. First off just remember EVERYTHING is more expensive now. Then there is a big difference between doing a job correctly and doing a hack job that will be "good enough'. If you are one of those "good enough" shoppers, then stop leaving bad reviews all over Yelp for business that are actually trying to give you a professional and correct service. Those businesses are NOT trying to rip you off... they are trying not to screw you with shoddy service,
