I bought a full exhaust system for my car for 4100$ and got a message that the exhaust system is 6900$ + 500$ posting. That can't be a mistake because I was looking at the exhaust system for a week EDIT, I just got a bill for 2490€ but I didn't even get a receipt or a confirmation of the purchase the first time I have had a pretty bad experience for now, I bought a exhaust system for my gtr and now they demand 2490€ more, I bought it for the 4100€ price so I will get it for that price disclaimer, I'm from finland so thats why there might be a few misspels read more

SP Engineering has existed before most of us were even into cars or you can say before the movie "fast and the furious". They have the history and reputation for building fast Supra MK4 TT, RX-7 FD, R34, R33, R32 GTR. Now they are mainly focusing on cars such as R35 GTR, Mclaren and Lamborghini. They are one of the most reputable tuning company in the world now. Most of the people that go to SPE usually have prior knowledge on the builds and know exactly what they are getting. SPE can work on other cars that I have not mentioned above just make sure you call and ask for Eugene whos in charge of everything pretty much, although Alex is the owner, Eugene will be the person that you will be working with. Everytime I'm at the SPE, I see many many cars especially from Dubai and all over the world that come go to SPE for the best possible parts, service and build I'm grateful to have such an amazing reputable R35 shop that I can fully trust in mind with the most reputable person in the planet, Eugene. With that in mind, I will try to make this review short and useful as possible: 1. Service- Eugene (which is the only other person that is responsible in dealing with customer's car), keeps his word, gets job done right, perfect everytime. I have nothing else better to ask for. 2. Product- They have one of the most reputable parts in the industry not to mention their TiTek product line that is probably one of the main GTR components that are widely used currently. 3. I just have to say, outstanding work. The mechanics here are awesome. David was great, in explaining everything that was going on and the steps that were being taken. I originally brought my 2009 R35 in for a bell housing job, due to that annoying rattle that happens on the older models. I first went to the dealership for my bell housing but they wanted to charge me $10,500 for the whole job. The bell housing itself cost about $1,700. So you mean to tell me they charge $8,800 for labor. Lmao... yeah right. Then I took my vehicle to a Mom and Pop mechanic, where I had other things done to it, they were pretty good..... Unnnntill I mentioned my bell housing to them. They told me" Oh we dont have our own Labor pricing, so we have to go with the dealerships labor prices. Lol... riiiiight. So they tell me its gonna be $10,000. So I said, thata just what the dealership quoted. I came to you guys cause I believed you would be fair. Guess not. Then they offered to bring it down to $9,900. Told them to pound sand., well not really, I just said that okay and left. Never to return lol. Then I found SP engineering and they told me the bell housing job would be $3,800 parts and labor. It was like heavens gates opened up and the angels began to sing lol. Anyway back to what I was saying earlier, David recommended other things to be done and yeah it came to quite a bit of money, but it was well spent. My June, (Gtr-R35), thats her name; drives like when I first bought her 5 years ago. Excellent work guys. I will defintely be coming back for routine maintenance, I finally found a reliable GTR mechanic. I would definitely recommend you guys to everyone I know. I take all my cars here to get modified, serviced, etc. They do great detailed work and has inhouse dyno tuning for AWD and RWD cars.

These guys rock, plain and simple. Just look at the cars of the clientele. I was a customer of Eugene's for my GTR (I only did an exhaust install there), but he even set me up with wheels for my FRS. However, they SPECIALIZE in exotics, especially Lambo (someday I will get one haha). They do routine maintenance, tuning, and a bunch of other stuff. read more

Two things made me change this review: Alex,the owner, and James. I was looking for parts to go FBO + E85 Fuel flex Labor and Tune and spoke with James. He answered all my questions and called back as promised. Great guy and extremely helpful. I decided to go with another company since I had a previous poor experience. Just today Alex, the owner, called and apologized for the misunderstanding. He explained that is not how they operate and that the person who was dealing with me was no longer working there. I appreciate the call very much and updated my review to reflect my appreciation. It's not 5 stars only because I haven't have much more experience with them. I'm really surprised at the lack of reviews for this shop but then I remember, not everyone drive supercars. But seriously, this place should be the West Coast Customs for GT-Rs only way cooler. I got my GT-R back in February but I've always been skeptical of going to other garages with fear that they'll make me spend ridiculous amount of money. Not only that but I'm scared that they'll do a crappy job and I'll have to spend more money. Then, my friend from NorCal who has a GT-R told me to check out this place cause they are reputable and specialize in anything that has to do with my car. So first thing next morning, I drove down to this place and told them what I wanted to get done which was just a new exhaust system and center pipe. I literally came back the next day, dropped the car off at 9:30am and the car was ready for pick up by 1pm. They even gave me a car wash! Yeah, you can expect to pay quite a bit but when it comes to cars like these, do you really want to skimp out? There's no one else that I trust to work on my car and I can't wait to come back to get more stuff done! Shoutout to David for being super friendly and helpful throughout the process and never making me feel pressured to pay extra for parts that I don't really care for. I was referred by my friend Alan to take my car in to SP Engineering and I purchased the SPE700 package for my 15 GTR. I have to say that I had a GREAT customer experience. When I dropped off the car I was greeted by David and Alex. Alex was nice enough to give me a tour of his shop and show me what projects he has going on. David kept me informed with photos on the status of my car. He also managed to secure the injectors which were on backorder from the manufacturer. If he hadn't secured them then I would have to wait 3-4 weeks to get my car back. About a little over a week later the car was ready. Alex was there and he sat down with me in my car and told me the do and don'ts, what the buttons do, and gave me information on maintaining an E85 ran car. The only complaint that I have is that they are about 250 miles away from where I live. But overall, Alex and David are real nice guys, very professional and very knowledgeable of the GTR platform. I'll definitely go back to them to do all my maintenance and maybe future upgrades. read more

Love this entity! I haven't even taken my car there yet and I'm already pleased with them. lol I spoke to David over the phone and I was very impressed by his honesty. Honesty and cleanliness....those two are the most important things to me when I look into tuning shops. This place has pretty much got it down. Plus, they build GTRs...come on, what else do you want? I just bought an M4 and I am building up a nice list for these guys. I know they don't really specialize in BMW, but David told me that they have done some suspension work and exhausts for the M4, and that is enough for me. I'm not building the engine, but I would definitely want their techs to work on my suspension if needed. I wouldn't trust anyone else to touch my car. Ever since I watched Jay Leno's garage and saw Alex, the owner on his show, I knew that SP was something special. I like Alex as a person...he seems like he's down to earth, and I rather give my business to people like him.
