So we were taking coffee orders on the hottest humid day in the 'bury and one of our colleagues tells us ,"You should never drink coffee after 3 p.m." Needing that midday brew for a burst we went ahead and ignored him. We ordered three rejuvenating and refreshing iced coffees with caramel, and chocolate. Fast forward, I suppose I'm caffeine sensitive it took 6 to 8 hours for the caffeine to wear off which totally disrupted my sleep. He was right! I was alert and awake for hours. Lessons learned no coffee after three. Go ahead and try their coffee drinks they are delicious but just do it before 3:00 p.m.!

Their online presence doesn't have access to their food menu. Their mission of being "local" seems more important than having full access to their offerings. The beach town (Ocean City) has only stools, with no backs, making it hard for older persons with balance issues and fatigue challenges. The drive they in downtown Salisbury was clearly a drive-they on their web page. The more comfortable of the 3 is the College St. attire in Salisbury. Great baristas and teams, could maybe improve the roast, eliminating some of bitterness. The beans are flavorful and robust, so good sourcing. The pull by the baristas isn't long adding to bitterness so maybe adjusting the roast? Great teams, good ingredients, maybe a bit more balance of focus on the end user as well as the local local local thing and you'd have a great coffeehouse. Designer of interiors has got the imaging right, but maybe a cushion or two on the benches? Or backs on a few seats for your regulars? Thinking it's close, here, but not quite yet.

The coffee is amazing and the breakfast is delicious. The only downside is that it takes them a long time (10mins on average per person upwards to 25minutes) to prepare your meal(you can order ahead, but only on the website not by phone), and the seating is limited. Other than that this is a very good place to go to have a very good breakfast for under $15. My meal was "the local" which is a burrito ($10)with eggs, and two choices of meat(I chose bacon and sausage) and potatoes. I also ordered a coffee(caramel macchiato $4) The total was $15.00 - BONUS: buy and load their gift card with $25 and you get a free coffee. (I elected to go with the coffee, which is a specialty drink, and saved four dollars). By the way, the staff is super friendly, I will go here as often as possible perhaps every day...(5 times before this review )

Ordered from here for the first time. Got takeout. Avocado toast - "guacamole" topping looks and tastes like it was made yesterday (turning brown). Tots were probably made yesterday as well and refried. Looked horrible and tasted bad. Husbands scrambled eggs looked terrible as well but the smell was worse. I love Chai and ordered it as a previous reviewer raved about it. It was drinkable but not great. Good? Eh, just drinkable. Really wanted to like this place as it would be my "go to" but I will not be returning. Almost $28 for two for food that is basically inedible.

This is a gem my son and I found when looking for breakfast and coffee in Salisbury MD while driving to NC. Absolutely worth the detour from the highway, great coffee, breakfast burritos and baked goods. Highly recommended for the food and wonderful service. Would definitely come back. read more

The coffee is amazing and so many wonderful friendly people work there. Their LIDS SUCK and leak all the time. Please please get new cups and/or lids that seal properly. They have leaked on me so much I stopped going when traveling for work. read more

Rise up has two INCREDIBLE LOCATIONS in Salisbury. One on east college and one on riverside which features a drive through. You cannot go wrong with any of their drinks or delicious food. It's always fresh!!! I am a latte girl so white mocha is my jam but I've tried their seasonal flavors and they are wonderful too. Rise up is always looking for new ways to Reinvent coffee and I love it!!! Their winter brew is amaZing!!!! I recommend them to anyone out of town that is a Starbucks lover because there is no comparison. Open your eyes to Love!!! Rise up rocks! read more

I have loved coming to Rise Up when I am in town visiting family. The service on Riverside Dr. was very poor. The girl taking our order was very rude. The manager needs to have a chat with the staff on how to interact with others. I will not be going back to this location. read more

I haven't smoked coke in almost 20 years but by golly when I suck down a cold brew from Rise Up it really gets me moving. There should be a warning label! I jest. But really, Rise Up is amazing, people were upset when they kicked that gentlemen out of the commercial for wearing a Jesus hat. But with coffee like this who needs jesus. Love Rose Up read more

I have been going to Rise Up for years and they never disappoint. I love their huevos rancheros and açaí bowls. They've added extra outside picnic tables to the college ave location, but sometimes the place gets packed and it's hard to find a place to sit. read more

Staff was super friendly, plenty of parking, free wifi, place was very clean. I had a iced vanilla latte and my husband had a chai latte, both were amazing! Love that there are different milk alternatives. We both had a breakfast burritos with egg and chorizo, perfect size and great taste. We had to wait a little on the food, not long, but they were made to order which is wonderful. Laid back atmosphere and the smells are a bonus. read more

Fantastic coffee! My husband and I make it an effort to come here every time we are in the area. The coffee is made properly and is always consistent. We've gotten lattes, iced and hot coffees from this shop and it's always the best! The pour your own coffee jugs are always kept refilled with new coffee which keeps you from getting the burnt stuff. The staff are also super friendly and they work fast. Both the sit down area and the bathrooms are kept clean and well organized. The breakfast burrito is smaller than I'd like(fat kid at heart here) but it's super yummy and comes with green salsa. read more

The acai bowl is fairly priced compared to other places. The rest of the breakfast menu looks really good but I haven't tried anything else. The atmosphere is nice, always chill music playing. The coffee and lattes are tasty. The lavender lemonade is very nice treat. read more

I am always a fan and supporter of local businesses. Having said that, I like Rise Up, they have differentiated themselves and gathered loyal customers. The 100% organic coffee is authentic, I've got a cappuccino several times and iced coffee; but what I love the most is their breakfast items. Their food is very tasty and I love how they have a small selection so you're not indecisive about what you want to eat, lol. Eggs are super fluffy and not over cooked/burned. What I loved the most about this place was their decor. Bathroom tiles are made with pennies! The customer service was average. Free Wi-Fi. read more

I have had the coffee smoothie, the waffle with fruit, the egg sausage burrito, and the salmon sandwich. Each one was delicately made and perfectly cooked. Each meal was a balance of savory and sweetness. I love the ambiance and decor. It is urban and modern and reminds me a lot of the the Pacific Northwest, a region that I love. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I wish they had was a drive thru for this location. It would make my purchase more convenient. read more

I can see why this place is packed all the time. I got the hazelnut latte and a cinnamon roll. The latte was to die for and the cinnamon roll had a lovingly amount of icing on it - meaning perfection. So glad this place is close to me. read more

Not from the area , drove from NJ to visit a friend in college here and this was my to go breakfast spot every day! Workers at the counter were pleasant and greeted my guests and I with a smile every time & the food was fresh. Perfect breakfast spot to go to ! Highly recommended if you want to grab a bite or meet for coffee. Definitely need one of these in my area. read more

This new second location is great. Staff is still friendly. Taking a break from Coffee in general, so I ordered a Berry Smoothie. Very delicious, and I like the fact that most ingredients in it were Organic. New store has sort of a "minimalist look" with metal stools for sitting, which made me think of a big city-style coffeehouse. As usual, I will keep patronizing the place. read more

Stopped in to grab coffee and was immediately blown away by The tantalizing aroma. I couldn't help myself to get something more substantial to eat as opposed to just getting a bagel. I got the dish that had potatoes with sautéed onions and sausage with egg. A very good size meal and extremely delicious I cannot wait to return here for their food. Also try their Jamaican ice tea, it was very very good. Black teen accompanied by orange juice, pineapple and I think honey, either way it is a must try. read more

Great coffee and fare. Caveat is price. Even when buying their doughnuts they want to charge $1.50 each even when buying a dozen. Only place in town that sells Bay Country doughnuts in Salisbury so that's very disappointing that Rise Up over charges when customers want bulk. Sometimes drinks take a while because they get backed up very easily. read more

In love with all of their food and coffee! They also have oat milk which I appreciate since I can't have much dairy and it's the best alternative to half and half that I've had. The people there are always exceptionally friendly and they get your order out as fast as possible. Their baked goods are phenomenal too! read more

Recently voted 'Maryland's Best Coffee', Rise Up Coffee Roasters has been an independent small-batch coffee roaster retailer since 2005. Rise Up represents 15 years of total dedication to sustainable coffees, Certified Organic + Certified Fair Trade. Headquartered in Easton, Maryland, Rise Up has nine current cafes, an active online presence & a thriving wholesale division encompassing grocery, restaurants and coffee shops. Meet the Business Owner: Timothy C.

Rise Up Coffee has been an independent small-batch coffee roaster and retailer since March 2005. Rise Up originated from an explosive combination of ambition and circumstance. Owner Tim Cureton had what would prove to be a life changing coffee experience while traveling home from the Peace Corps service. His love affair with great coffee had begun. Utilizing a $16,000 business loan, Cureton opened the first Rise Up Coffee. Rise Up began as a coffee trailer, before there were TV shows and movies about food trucks. What started in a parking lot in a town with a population of 1,029 has evolved into five high-volume cafe locations, a very active online store and many new exciting wholesale relationships.

If I ever have the opportunity to visit again, I'd love to stay at the bed and breakfast. It looked incredibly charming, cozy, and like the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Even though not everything on my plate was a hit, the warm atmosphere and lovely setting made it a place I'd happily return to.

Besides the standard side of toast or biscuit, you can get a choice of a donut. My coconut chocolate donut was delicious, very moist. Fortunately for Kellyn's Cafe it is a popular spot for Salisbury University students, however there is no waiting area in the restaurant. Our party of five were almost standing on top of people at their tables as we were waiting for a table. Be aware very tight seating in the cafe.

I drove 30 miles out of my way on a longer road trip to try Bagel Bakery Cafe and placed a take…read moreaway order on the web. We had lunch when we arrived, too. We received very personable service. They have a large selection of bagels from which to choose. The app was easy to order from although it said that blueberry bagels were out of stock but when I arrived at the store there were plenty. Perhaps they baked a new batch before I could arrive! As for lunch, the crab dip bagel is deliciously decadent. Most of the bagels had a great texture and chew to them although my dear wife described the texture as "gummy." I ordered a "small" cappuccino which was actually about 16 oz. I wish it was smaller, I.e., made with less milk, because the espresso flavor was very dilute. I ordered a single shot of espresso to give it a boost but even that didn't make it strong enough for me. I don't think I'd order it again without specifying that I wanted about half the milk plus a double or triple shot. Very casual ambience, frequented by local college students. Clean restroom, too!

The coffee is perfect - roasted by the same company and they really like experimenting with the product - and it makes for an exciting experience! The vibe in any of the Rise Up establishments (Easton, MD; Cambridge, MD; Salisbury, MD) is very relaxed. We enjoy visiting the store at and near the University in Salisbury, MD - and the employees are always friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Plus, we share the coffee beans with friends and family who really seem to like the product. There is a good thing brewing here on the Eastern Shore! For food - the Mad Eggs group that works out of the College Ave. store is great! Their breakfast fare is delicious (small menu, but good quality). Well worth it! read more

This is an amazing coffee place. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. They always are quick, even when they are busy, and the place is always clean. My favorite barista is José, but I haven't seen him recently so I hope he is still there. The lemonade selections they have are delicious and is perfect, especially now that it is getting hot outside. Extremely poor management. Lots of really fucking weird ppl work there. Prides itself on this, but not in a good way. Kind of a hub of low quality people. Coffee is nothing spectacular. The place is tiny and crammed together. Music is too loud. Kitchen closes too early. Only has success because of the brand from other locations and a lack of local competition. Somebody could easily open up another actually hip coffee shop and crush this one (hint hint). read more

Been here a few times now. Everyone around me loves it, and it's super convenient, considering I literally live right down the street. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always a good vibe and good feels when I've gone in there. Haven't tried to food however the vegan chocolate chip cookies were really good. Best 6 bucks I ever spent. Well, spend. Daily. This is my absolute favorite coffee shop! The environment is mellow with good music on usually and the breakfast and lunch options are to die for.
