I had my cavity filled nearby and really wanted something cold and refreshing afterwards. My fiancé found Rise Up and everything we ordered was literally perfect! My fiancé ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and I ordered another drink (which I forgot the name to!). My drink was my favorite between the two, but the Cinnamon Toast Crunch smoothie was really good as well! It tasted just like the cereal! My drink had vitamin B, strawberry swirl, and ginseng. It tasted refreshing, and really filling as well. I didn't have breakfast that day, and wasn't allowed to eat until 2 hours later, and this smoothie filled me up for a few hours. The worker was very nice and friendly, but I was under the impression that I was ordering a fresh fruit smoothie. What I received was a very synthetic-tasting protein shake with sprinkles on top. I came in after a doctor's appointment and craving a smoothie, and I was greeted immediately upon entering. It was early in the morning (for me lol), so receiving a cheerful hello was a good feeling. I had never been, so the staff was really great about explain the menu and how it worked. The store itself was clean, and the decor was modern and chill. I chose a tea and smoothie combo - Mango lassi + Strawberry + fat burner smoothie & Lakeview Livin' (raspberry lemonade) tea. The tea was delicious; I couldn't stop drinking it! I did notice, however, that there seemed to be some kind of powder settling on the bottom and I wasn't sure what it was. However, it didn't affect the taste. The smoothie was also great. I liked that I could combine the flavors, as the mango lassi is mango pineapple, and I love mixing that with strawberry. It was pretty thick, but tasty. I did forget to ask if it was dairy free, but that was my fault. However, I didn't have any adverse reactions so that is a good sign! Overall, a really tasty combo. I will say, however, it is a bit pricey; I paid almost $20 for two drinks, both size small, which is steep in my opinion. It will definitely be nice to stop by for a treat, though! read more

It's a small tiny store front in lake view that is full of delicious protein shakes along with other options. So far I've tried the Cake Batter, Cinnamon Toast, and Cookie dough and cake batter was my favorite! The shake is so filling so sometimes I leave some to drink the next day. I'm so happy that I met Meera and she introduced me to Rise Up! When I used to live in Lakeview, I used to stop by with my pup (Yes, it's dog friendly! And they gave my pup a little something, too). It's a chill place where you can just come and work on your laptop. It's in a nice location on Broadway (right near the Marianos and Walmart Market).The shakes, teas, and juices are delicious. After a bike ride up north and back, we stopped by here after visiting a nearby juice shop that had run out of coconut, mango, and pineapple. This store was nearby, and appeared to have a couple items we thought would be interesting. We were told about the protein shakes, and ability to add protein to drinks, and collagen, and boosters, and you name it. All I was looking for was a fresh, natural smoothie: fresh fruit. There was one option, which included mango (a fruit i was hoping for). But it was a 'Schubert', which included a ton of other unnecessary stuff. Instead, I opted for a tropical berry iced tea. Partner went with the fruit Schubert. The tea was good, but a bit medicinal. The Schubert was disgusting. It tasted like cement/ chalk (and was that color). I had a feeling it would, and that was why I took the safe route of an iced tea. Worst of all... $22 for 2 medium sized drinks: one iced tea, one fruit schubert. We walked away, and he looked as disgusted as I felt after sipping that schubert, so he walked back 5 steps to the store, and asked if he can have the same basic, iced tea I ordered. They honored that. Staff was very nice and friendly. The drinks were mediocre, and downright gross. Prices were silly. If you're looking for a quality, natural juice/ smoothie, there is a juice/ smoothie bar one block down. read more

If I recall correctly, the mangolicious tea has energizing orange B-12 and mango tea. Definitely associated with the MLM Herbalife. They danced around questions regarding ingredients and nutrition. Instead they went on and on about the healthiness and that's when I realized that there weren't even any fruits in this place. They use the Herbalife protein powders and water for these. I was looking for an Herbal Life partner shop while in Chicago, and I am so happy that I found Rise Up Nutrition. Right, when I walked in I was kindly greeted, and it felt as if I had been there a million times before. After explaining that I had been to an Herbal Life establishment before, she kindly explained some of their menu items. She told me what they offered and what she recommended. Each Herbal Life shop that I have been to has been a little different so it was great to have someone help me. I placed my order and only waited a few minutes for my order to be ready. In those few minutes, I decided to look around the shop. It's a smaller place, but it is kept very clean and is very trendy. The t.v and seating area are perfect for bringing in some friends and talking after a workout or for a quick lunch. Rise Up Nutrition gives off a trendy cafe vibe, that I really enjoyed. I got the coco nut smoothie with a hot chai and cranberry aloe tea. I enjoyed my two items, the quick service, and fantastic customer service.
