Food and service is great. Nice variety on the menu. Didn't have to wait long for food to come out.

4.5 stars for me. Cons: parking, I found a street spot nearby and walked over. Pros: awesome pizza, filling pizza, unique pizza. All are Detroit style pies. I saw this pop up on Yelp and immediately wanted to try it. I went for the Vodka pizza and my buddy ordered the Buffalo pizza. The vodka was just as awesome as it looked. My buddy really liked his Buffalo pie as well. I paid about $19 for a six slice pizza, but it was so thick, hearty and well done. We both took leftovers home. I was able to have two meals out of one pie. Next time I'm doing the PBR. May have to try some apps. It's part of the Federal Galley so there are other choices nearby if your companions want something else. Also there is a full bar there too. I will definitely go back.

Tried to go to the National Aviary this past weekend only to realize they were completely out of tickets for the day! Oh well, no big deal when you've got Federal Galley and a variety of test kitchen purveyors a stones throw away! Driven was the only place my wife and I hadn't tried yet so we placed an order online and drove through the MWS admiring historic homes while we waited. Food was ready about 15 minutes later and looked wonderful! The crispy cheesy edges tasted great, the toppings were plentiful, and the ricotta and pizza sauce kept everything moist and tied together well. For $15 bucks it's not the cheapest pizza or slice around, but it's good Detroit-style and worth every penny to me!

I've been obsessed with Detroit style pizza ever since I tried it a few years back. Some are better than others and Driven absolutely delivers! I tried the popular "red top" pizza on a recent Friday night and it was perfection. The dough is fluffy and light and perfectly crispy on the edges. The cheese and basil with marinara on top hits just right. This is going to be one of my new favorite pizzas in PGH.

It's so rare to find a GF pizza that has any rise to it! I finally got my hands on one of Driven's GF pizza, and I was beyond impressed. I can't wait to try more of their pizzas. I wish it had buffalo chicken instead of buffalo chicken dip on it but either way it was delicious!!! I've been trying to get my hands on their gluten free crust for months, and finally showed up on a night they had it! I would recommend messaging them to make sure they have it if it's what you are looking for.

Very quick service. We ordered the fried ravioli, could've used a little more seasoning. But one pizza is enough for 2 people. The sauce was very rich, relatively affordable as well. The spot is tucked away in a food hall, a very clean and vibrant space, however parking is a headache. A good experience overall.

I have been so excited to get to Federal Galley and try Driven's Detroit style pizza. It was hard to decide what type was going to make the cut for the maiden voyage, but I went with the vodka pie. This isn't something that you see on many pizza menus, so I figured it was a great option. The pizza did not disappoint. The crust was airy and covered with crispy, melted cheese. The addition of the ricotta on top of the pie is an added bonus and is smothered with a delicious vodka sauce. The pizza is well balanced and even tasted just as good for a late night snack. I only wish that you could do 1/2 a pie with one type and 1/2 with a other to try more options. But I guess I will just have to go back for more!

Best Detroit style pizza in the Burgh. Really thankful they are now on Uber Eats. I hope they stick around for years to come!

Loves the pizza here! Detroit style pizza can be so good when done right and this place definitely does. I ordered the red too. Pretty much the basic pizza, mozz, parm, and basil, marinara on top. The dough had a great fluffy texture to it and tasted delicious. Perfect amount of cheese and the sauce on top was so flavorful and fresh.

    Garbage

I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered a buffalo chicken ranch pizza which in the description says " buffalo chicken dip, ranch fries, cheddar, mozzarella". Perfect just what I wanted. So I get the pizza delivered and I'm a little confused because where are the fries? I'm thinking oh it's under the cheese. So I take a bite... nothing. I take another bite.. nothing. I pull apart the cheese and I see something that might be either a fry or a piece of chicken. It's less than an inch long. I rip it apart and see it's a fry. I look on the other squares and some have non and some have that half inch "fry". I'm confused because the description says "ranch fries". Also I'm not even mentioning the fact that some pieces have barely any buffalo chicken. I take it up to the window and right before I get there an employee stops me and says oh yep those are the ranch fries! And I said "oh there's like not even one on each piece" and she says "yep we only put maybe one on each!" And I said "it's like an inch long" "yep that's what we do!" So I paid $20+ tax for bread??????? Not helpful whatsoever. A complete rip off. If you ever think about getting pizza here don't! Oh you want pepperoni pizza? Enjoy one round circle on a 6 slice pizza. Buffalo chicken ranch with fries is just bread with sprinkles of buffalo. So insane that they don't even help. Do you not make enough money to put one whole fry on a 6 slice pizza that literally advertises fries?? Guess not so maybe go out of business instead of scamming people. I wouldn't be mad if I paid $6 for this bc what else was I expecting. For $20+ I should have at least one full fry on each slice. I'm not even asking for two fries on a slice. Literally one. Maybe next time I'll bring my own potato for you to use since clearly you're short on funds.

Photo speaks for itself but willing to give this place another shot. I ordered the red top with extra sauce for pick up and this is what I received. I know it's a new spot so they're probably working out the kinks, some quality control should be in order. Overall, the side sauce was good and flavorful. Again, I know this photo won't speak for everyone's experience and they're new so I wanted to be nice and give them a 4/5 but as you can see based off the photo that's an extremely generous rating. I'm looking forward to trying again in a few months.

If you're looking for a unique twist on an favorite check out Driven, located at the Federal Galley (North Side) of Pittsburgh, PA. Every Deep dish style pizza has been customized by Chef Jake to these very unique styles of pizza. The Vodka Pie was my choice. Brunch is also available if you choose!

    Hot honey chicken pizza
    Amber G.

I've had a few of their pizzas but today I got the hot honey chicken pizza and all I can say is WOW. It was so good! The sweet and spicy flavor combo with the crunchy cheese edges made it perfect. I hope this becomes a permanent menu item because I definitely want to order it again.

Our favorite is the Drunk Meatball: that homemade vodka pizza sauce, and their homemade meatballs, along with the rosettes of ricotta cheese is amazing. Lupo has a wonderful char to the crust and the undercarriage is slightly crispy. The second favorite is the 10th Ward pizza: the combination of meats, peppers, and ricotta makes it amazing. The challenge we have had with Lupo there isn't a place it eat inside, and it takes 20 mins for us to get home, so we have lost some of the warmth and the crust isn't quite as crispy; enter Coven Brewing. We go to Coven and get a beer, we have placed our order with Lupo and we will walk down, get our pizza, walk back and demolish it. Coven has some great beer, especially if you like IPAs; Lupo has Pittsburgh's best pizza; I cannot think of a better pairing. The service at Pizza Lupo is great, they are kind even when their phone is ringing off the hook. Our last time I was getting busy signals because calls were coming in so fast. Somehow they maintain the ability to get a pie out the door in under an hour. When we go there, there are boxes stacked high and they have a steady stream of people entering and leaving, never do I hear a complaint.
