    Buffalo chicken pizza
    Rich M.

Good "standard" pizza. Lots of great pizza variants. We order a lot of pizza. Depending on our mood the order ranges from your standards (traditional sauce and cheese with toppings) to variants (bbq chicken, buffalo chicken, etc...). Pizza Italia does them all well. I am a particular fan of the buffalo chicken pizza (just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming). I'd also note that the wings are pretty solid as well.

I have passed this place for years... I was looking for a place that did heart shaped pizza. My co-workers who live in Bloomfield suggested Pizza Italia !! We ordered our pizza & picked it up... it smelled so lovely on our way in to get it... they made me a perfect heart shaped pizza ! It was really good... the dough was fantastic !! I will definitely be back !! Also, the sauce is not sweet if you don't like that about Pittsburgh pizza. Happy to have found a new

Whole Sicilian Pizza with pepperoni, sausage, anchovies, mushrooms and got pepper rings. Green peppers are missing though!

Pizza was excellent and delivery came WAY sooner than Grubhub said it would. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I ordered for and paid for green peppers, and there were none on it. But it is still a beautiful and delicious pizza with perfect crust!!

2 slices of cheese pizza... $2.60 with tax

So it was freezing in Pittsburgh yesterday. I made the trek over to Bloomfield for a dog walking gig and had planned on stopping at that new PB&J place. They are sadly closed on Mondays, but I was starving. I have had Pizza Italia bookmarked for a while so I decided to stop in. The puppy I walk has tried to break in here multiple times on walks, and I know why. It smells delicious. This is a great little Mom and Pop to go shop. I ordered two slices of cheese pizza ($2.60). They were very average sized but a good price. The crust is on the thicker side, and they use a sweet sauce with very mild seasoning. And unlike most places, Pizza Italia puts enough cheese on the pizza that you can actually taste it. This is a solid slice of cheese. Nothing special but good. The thing that sets them over the top is the owners. Everyone was chatty and friendly and just lovely. Support this Mom and Pop shop over the chains! This place is strictly takeout, and there is no seating, FYI. Credit card minimum of $5

Went back here after many years and found it is just as good as I remember. Square and traditional piza are both excellent!

Pizza was doughy and tasted like the inside of a refrigerator. Hoagies are good, but the pizza is disgusting.

Pizza was great. Owner was great. We grabbed this pizza on our way back to Erie. It hit the spot. Glad we picked this place!

Let me say that Pizza Lupo is my favorite Pittsburgh Pizza. I know Fiori's won some competition,…read moreand I have had Fiori's pizza, and it cannot beat Lupo. Our favorite is the Drunk Meatball: that homemade vodka pizza sauce, and their homemade meatballs, along with the rosettes of ricotta cheese is amazing. Lupo has a wonderful char to the crust and the undercarriage is slightly crispy. The second favorite is the 10th Ward pizza: the combination of meats, peppers, and ricotta makes it amazing. The challenge we have had with Lupo there isn't a place it eat inside, and it takes 20 mins for us to get home, so we have lost some of the warmth and the crust isn't quite as crispy; enter Coven Brewing. We go to Coven and get a beer, we have placed our order with Lupo and we will walk down, get our pizza, walk back and demolish it. Coven has some great beer, especially if you like IPAs; Lupo has Pittsburgh's best pizza; I cannot think of a better pairing. The service at Pizza Lupo is great, they are kind even when their phone is ringing off the hook. Our last time I was getting busy signals because calls were coming in so fast. Somehow they maintain the ability to get a pie out the door in under an hour. When we go there, there are boxes stacked high and they have a steady stream of people entering and leaving, never do I hear a complaint.

I tried a black cherry ale that was delicious. My husband got a Vienna lager he enjoyed. He got the black and gold pizza with potatoes, garlic sauce, pepper, res onion parmesan, and provolone. It is fired in their brick oven with a crispy crust. He enjoyed it but it was a little over done and it was hard to distinguish the toppings as the char was heavy. I got the carbonara. It was definitely not traditional. The sauce was very thick and almost floury. They serve it with pork belly, which does not give the same punch of flavor to cut through the sauce as guanchali or bacon. The papardelle noodle were dry and clumpy. The dish was very heavy. Do not recommend. The place is chill. It is close to the theater. I might try it again if in the area.
