On Saturday night, we discovered a moderate flood from our HVAC that had seeped into a finished, carpeted bedroom in our basement. By Monday morning, it was obvious the carpet would not dry out on its own; I found a few possible contractors on Yelp, but Corey was the first to answer and was able to come out the same day. He quickly determined the extent of the problem, gave me a ballpark quote, and immediately began the work of pulling up drenched carpet pad, removing baseboard, saturated drywall, etc. Later that evening, his crew arrived with dehumidifiers and fans, and set up shop. Within 2 days, the affected rooms were totally dry, and the tiny bit of mold that had begun growing over the weekend was removed. I was so pleased that they were able to respond so quickly, and that the damage was contained. I felt that Corey was extremely honest in assessing the work that needed to be done (very limited), performed the work quickly and professionally, and charged what I believe was a fair price. He offered to walk us through the whole insurance claim process, but after we decided to foot the bill out-of-pocket, he adjusted the price down a bit to help us out. (Note: the scope of the work was limited to water remediation; the subsequent repairs to drywall, carpet, etc., need to be done by separate contractors.) This is a great company! I have been working with Cory and his team at Restoration 1 for about 6 months! I have an odor problem in my rec room and after calling numerous plumbers and "experts", none of whom could explain the cause, I discovered Restoration 1. Cory has patiently stuck with me through every step of the way and his team of people are outstanding. He recommended outside environmental companies and other experts to help me get to the bottom of the odor problem. Unfortunately they were as perplexed as we are. We haven't gotten to end of my odor problem but Cory is still with me and we are making progress! I am so impressed with his knowledge and use of resources. Restoration 1 of Springfield has been a God Send two times in less than a month. Because of the record rain and humidity, we had found mold in our concrete shed. We were about to leave town for an extended period of time, and needed service right away. Khonsul came the day after I called, assured me that he could take care of my mold problem without us even being there. He was in control of the problem, and made me feel confident that he would do a good job. And he did. Everything was cleaned, restored, and put back. We could not have been more impressed. This company was very quick to respond to my email asking for assistance with mold remediation in my basement. They came out and looked at the basement, took pictures and measurements as well as searching for any possible water leaks. Once done they sent a through estimate with all of the steps they would be taking. I had some questions which were responded to my satisfaction. Two workers came and spent an entire day working in the basement. They put protective covers down in the house to protect the floors when removing items or bringing in and out equipment. Once done they showed me what they had done and provided instructions as to what to watch for. I received the invoice along with pictures to show what they did and what had to be removed and tossed due to mold contamination. I felt very confident in their work and their responsiveness to my questions. Hopefully will not need to use them again but I do highly recommend them. read more

Cory and the entire team were wonderful to work with on mitigating the water damage to two floors of our house damaged by a dishwasher flood on Thanksgiving evening. They brought in water meters (which they monitored frequently to access the damage), erected easily accessible tenting to prevent spreading dust from the drywall removal, moved everything out of the affected areas including full bookcases and heavy desk, ripped up the damaged flooring and a kitchen island, and kept dehumidifiers, fans, and mold prevention machines running until everything was totally dry. Patrick was the on-site project manager. This is a diligent, well- trained, professional and polite team. They were respectful of our property and promptly answered all calls. We have had numerous contractors over the decades and we were both impressed by how hard working and diligent this team is. Wish everyone were this good. Great experience! I came to Restoration 1 already frustrated with mold removal services. I never heard back from one company (after I asked for a detailed estimate). The other guy didn't seem very professional. What a relief to deal with Cory and his crew. Here's why: -Fair price -The (franchise) owner himself came out initially, during the work, and then on a follow up -Fast , I was lucky to not have extensive damage - but those guys were in and out -Courteous, helped me move my belongings out of the way -Honestly my house was cleaner then when they started. They went out of the way to clean any possible debris from the restoration -Best of all, by being thorough during their work they were able to see there was less damage than thought. This is a veteran owned company specializing in expert hazardous restoration services. My project covered the entire basement. The crew and company owner were exceptional. Beyond the reasonable price to complete the work, The project manager assigned, went above and beyond to assist with our project. My husband and I are extreme novices in all areas of restoration or rehab and needed assistance every step of the way. The project manager secured not only the crew for the restoration project but a crew to move items we wanted to keep; but also remove items and prep the full basement for the crew to come in and begin work. Corey and his team were fast and efficient and were also excellent at follow up. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, I trust Corey so much that if I need someone to do other work around the house, I call him and ask for a recommendation. It has worked well so far. We basically picked Restoration 1's name out of a hat when we had a black water back up in our basement. Corey and the team pulled up the carpet and got rid of it, then went about measuring the degree of microbial damage done. They used their heaters to dry out the underlying concrete and put the place in good shape for the rebuild. He also worked closely and professionally with my insurance company all along the way so that there were no hiccups on the payment end, either. In a time when I was completely nervous not knowing the extent of the damage, Cory and his team came over the same day to assess the damage. Our house had an issue with a leaky shower faucet and mold was forming. My wife and I were in a time crunch because we were going out of town for the long weekend. We called a number of places they either didn't pick up or wasn't available until mid september. We called Restoration 1 of Springfield, talked to Cory and was able to send a project manager out two days later to look at the issue. The PM Khonsol came out on a Saturday and accessed the problem. These two guys are the bomb! professional, courteous, and knowledgeable ... they know their "mold." Cory helped me to get rid of pet smells when replacing carpet in my house. Multiple pets had left odors that might have penetrated to the concrete below the carpet. The flooring company said if the odors linger, on a hot or humid day they will be noticeable. Cory has two solutions he used on the concrete- one to kill bacteria, mold, etc and one to eliminate all odors. It was fast and 100% effective. The solutions were not harsh chemicals.
