I was so skeptical of this website, why is it only 1/4 the price of Blue Nile and other more "legit" websites. But I decided, screw it, I'm going to try it. I purchased a 3.88 oval engagement lab diamond. It cost $1,400, same general diamond at those other sites 5K or so. I chose NOT to buy the actual engagement ring setting though. That did seem overpriced. Ritani estimated a delivery date and were only off by a few days. The diamond came in a very basic black box. I did however take it to a very reputable jewelry store to A) get it checked out and B) purchase the engagement ring setting. The knowledge salesman there looked at and confirmed that what I ordered was what I got. She also said that sites like brilliant earth/blue nile are grossly overpriced. Not that I care but she did mention that lab diamonds have basically no resale value. Anyway long story short, I actually received what I ordered, in a timely manner and that's all I care about. read more

Horrible experience with Ritani. My boyfriend got me diamond hoop earrings for Christmas. On the first night wearing them, one of the earrings fell out of my ear and was lost. We paid for a replacement earring to be sent. When it arrived, I noticed how much weaker the original earring closure was compared to the replacement. Unfortunately the stones in the earrings didn't match, so I needed to return them in order to get them to match. When I called customer service I also told them about the weakened closure and that I thought this lead to losing the initial earring. I asked for them to please assess the old earring and strengthen the closure. Just received the earrings yesterday, and although the stones now match, they did absolutely nothing to fix the closure on the original earring. read more

Shopped at Ritani.com, purchased lab grown diamond stud earrings. At the time was confirmed to receive 4/5/24, received several emails communicating. "We've secured your diamond" "Your Diamond's on its way to Ritani" "We're Shipping your Diamond Soon" Then - "Your Order is delayed" - sent on 4/4/23 at 3PM, and second email offering me different "local" diamonds so they can get these "swapped right away!" Issue - Delivery is late, and I feel pressured to choose. I emailed a response before business hours and heard back by 10am. It turns out they had one stone, and needed me to choose another so I did, with the understanding that I had 30 days to return with full refund. Email at 3:pm Friday 4/5/24 telling me they are shipping tonight for Saturday delivery. Fingers crossed that they look good. Sat 4/6/24 - received the package via overnight. Results look good to me (lay person) with good packaging and well received by her. I would consider them again, just allow for more time. I think they could improve on the automated communications, but the people were good and otherwise a good result at what feels like a fair price. So, I thought I would give the Ritani pair back with their buyback program. Being that I have never worn them and they were recently purchased. I was told by Ritani, via email, that their own diamond does not meet the standard of their diamond buyback program! Save your money and go elsewhere! This is the place to make the engagement ring process more stressful. Lack of transparency and deceitful practices. For my custom ring order, I was given a quote and told I would be given a link to place an order. However, this was the beginning of contradictory statements and a sign I should have brought my business elsewhere. I asked for 1 small revision based on the CAD renderings (changing the arrangement of small stones on the band) and when I went to place an order, the customer support contact then told me I could not place an order via a link and I would then have to call in and gave me a revised quote of $600+ MORE. When asked about the revised quote, I was told that the first quote I was given was "too low". I pointed out that the small change (changing the small stones on my setting to be pave instead of micropave) did NOT justify the $600+ price increase. I found similar designs on their site that were priced in the range of my original quote and even shared that with them. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging their mistake in giving me an "incorrect initial quote", they told me they could only honor the quote I was given if I forgo any changes on my custom ring order. Their fault in the process became something I now had to deal with and accept. I ended up giving in as the change I suggested was minimal anyway and I was hopeful the ring would at least turn out fine. However, the nightmare came when the ring arrived already damaged with a missing prong, no engraving, and missing appraisal documents. The ring was also not secured and loosely left in the ring box when shipped. Reaching out again to customer support, I was told the estimated time for repairs was 4-6 WEEKS, far longer than it took for my ring to be made from scratch. After pushing back on this timeline, they promised to make the repair and ship it in a week. A week later I still hadn't received any updates on the repair and again had to contact support. The lack of communication and transparency at this point was ridiculous. The ring was delayed to ship and wasn't shipped until 3 days later. On their site, they advertise that they ship via FedEx overnight, well it turns out despite knowing my ring was delayed by the fault of Ritani, they chose to ship it via 2 day shipping. Upon receiving my ring to no one's surprise, the appraisal was STILL missing despite customer support assuring me that this would be included this time. Even worse, they were too cheap to actually ship the ring with the original box packaging that comes with every order. The ring box was literally sent by itself with no appraisal AND without the original packaging my order came with. The whole process has been deceitful with no acknowledgment of wrong doing or proactiveness to solve the issues they caused. I highly recommend going elsewhere for your ring and spare yourself the stress and time. This whole process ended up taking over a month when it should have been completed within 2 weeks. read more

I've had a horrible experience so far with Ritani. I made a purchase on the 2nd of May. It is now the end of June and so far I do not have the product and ive literally had to micromanage the hell out of them to get any kind of updates on what's going on so far. Let me elaborate. I ordered a ring on May 2nd, received it by 15 of May. Checked the ring to find several, several marks on it. There were scratches, the finishing was different on one part than the rest (the ring had a matte finish). I reported back to them with pictures and they sent me a return label to send it to the repairs team. That was the first and last 'responsible' behaviour from the business's side. The moment I shipped it back and they sent me an email saying the ring was received, I stopped getting any updates. I've had to repeatedly write them emails to ask them. They sent me a repair order number to reference to check for updates. 2-3 weeks pass by upon getting no updates I email them - no response. So I call them and one of the customer service reps tells me I had the wrong code all this time since The code that was given to me via email has already been shipped. The rep tells me she'll email me with the right code. Does she do it? No, never received the email. I've been back and forth with them SO SO MUCH I swear it's a job I didn't sign up for and am not getting paid for. I was told 2 days back that I would receive my ring, I still don't have it. I don't have a tracking code, I have no emails mentioning the status, nothing. I had to call them again and they've told me they will call me back in an hour to give me an update. Im worried that will YET AGAIN not happen. I initially went for Ritani cause someone I know mentioned good value on purchases but quite honestly, I would pay anything for better service since that taints everything. I would NOT recommend this business. Edit Update: After probing I was told there was yet another delay in the delivery timeline by a week, I asked the rep to cancel my order and they did. Takeaway: you will have to micromanage the business to get your order OUTSIDE of paying them for it too. read more

I sourced a finished diamond ring through Ritani. However, the mounting it was set in was not right for me. I needed 14kt because I am very hard on my rings. The one I would have liked was not available for an oval cut. They happily took the mounting back and allowed me to buy the diamond only. They paid the return shipping, refunded the cost of the mounting and made it very easy. The diamond is exactly what I wanted. I had a jeweler in Los Angeles forge the perfect ring and had it all assembled in Austin. The results are amazing!! I was nervous about buying a diamond online, but it was certified and laser inscribed. Even better, the price was great. read more

Not so Happy Holidays...... Nov. 30- I placed an order for a custom designed ring, with plenty of buffer for the holidays. I ordered the diamond and the setting online through Ritani and was given a Dec. 13th delivery date. After anxiously waiting and getting very excited, what I thought was my designed ring, arrived on time as stated online. To my disappointment and frustration, the setting in the box was nothing like what I ordered despite the setting having my diamond in it. My design was completely different and the head of the setting was to include sapphires. To make matters worse, I took off work to be home for the delivery which required a signature. I immediately contacted customer service and was told to return the ring to be corrected and it would be turned around within a week. The new delivery date was set in my profile as Dec. 22 (now I'm a little nervous but was assured several times by customer service that my order would be just fine). Dec. 21- I contact customer to make sure that my ring will be sent overnight for next day delivery. I'm then informed that Ritani does not keep sapphires "in house," and that my order may not make it in time for Christmas. I'm now very upset and in a panic as other plans have been made to go along with the presentation of the ring....The only resolution that I'm offered is to contact them again the next day and they will take $100 off of the ring. *Customer service was very nice but their policy and discount offered was a drop in the bucket compared to the frustration and anxiety felt at this point* As a customer of Brilliant Earth and James Allen, I've never had this type of problem and I feel like they would offer a much deeper discount to try and make up for their mistake. Dec. 22- I again contact Ritani to get an update (they should be contacting the frantic customer at this point) and as expected, the sapphires are still not in stock and there is no estimate given for the completion of the CORRECT ring. No other discount is offered and nothing can be done to ensure that Christmas plans go on as scheduled. I ask the rep to cancel my order, which she does. The moral of the story is go with a more reputable company that will keep you in the loop and when they screw up, they do everything in their power to make it right. I absolutely HATE doing reviews and I'm not one to leave a bad review. This situation could have been avoided if Ritani would've reached out and said upfront or even 2 weeks ago that they didn't have sapphires in stock or if the correct ring was made when they did have sapphires in stock. Ritani should have also offered a much higher discount outside of the "I'm sorry, here's $100 in hush money!" The fact that I had to do all of the reaching out and following up and the fact that Ritani let me down 3 days before Christmas, left me with no time for a backup plan and has cost me time, money and undue stress. Bottomline, I'd suggest spending your money elsewhere. I had to return my engagement ring to Ritani since it was a huge disappointment. The ring setting looked crooked and poorly made. I also came to find out later that I was over-charged for the diamond! I know this because the engagement ring that my fiance and I subsequently bought from Blue Nile has a diamond of the same carat size and quality (slightly better, actually) and was less expensive! This is a gd company on customer service, return , mailing etc but Please be aware of the diamonds quality. They have GOA cert and lab diamonds. Its a site where other vendors sell thier products. These vendors can be from anywhere in the world. The GIA certs could be fake. When i asked the company why the cert has diff specs than the real GIA cert tahn thier site, they had no answer!! All they said was that diamond is sold!! I had experienced one. Felt my trust was broken cannot rely on thai stie. Fake diamonds, fake certs and God know what else fake is being sold here. Make sure you chk GIA number if you are going for one. read more

I was a little worried about buying such an expensive item online. Furthermore, I did get it, and it was packaged well. The certificate that came with my diamond was packaged well. I looked at the serial number printed. I have a jewelers loop, and it was mounted perfectly. Furthermore, I was able to see the serial number engraved in the diamond. Short Version: Customer service is beyond abysmal. Long Version: Problem 1: Ritani promised that the ring I purchased would be completed and shipped on certain day and then blew that schedule by 5 days. This was a huge problem because I was leaving the country to visit my Fiance, who was on a 4 month assignment in Europe, and propose. I got the ring on my way to the airport but it almost ruined the whole plan. Problem 2: When getting the ring resized Ritani recommended that I go to one of their affiliate stores instead of sending it back. The affiliate store (in Dulles Town Center, Great DC metro area) just mailed it to Ritani anyway. When Ritani mailed the ring back the affiliate lost the ring, causing my fiance to have a near nervous breakdown. They eventually found it. How do you lose a $10k ring? Problem 3: One of the small diamonds in the ring fell out shortly after resizing. Problem 4: I sent the ring back to Ritani to have it repaired. They told me they would notify me when the ring was ready and ask me where I wanted it shipped. I never heard anything and emailed them. They said "oh, the ring shipped yesterday. Let us know if you don't get it today." 1. Where did you ship it? 2. What's the tracking number? It turns out they shipped it to my apartment. Of course I'm not going to be there to pick it up because I have a job... Now I have to go out of my way to a big Fedex distribution center to get it. read more
