I've never had any issues with pharmacies and I've been to many as we are a military family that moves a lot. This pharmacy if just something else. Heres my "gripe" as someone on here said on their review. I have a prescription that gets filled at the Bel Air across the street and I figured that since I go to Rite Aid more I figured it would be more convenient to have it filled there. I filled out the paperwork with my info at Rite Aid and even brought in an empty packet of my prescription from Bel Air that way it would be easier for the staff. The heavy set caucasian lady that helped me seemed annoyed when I asked her when I would be able to pick it up or at least what would be an estimated time. All I got was "when the other pharmacy is ready to fax us the paperwork" ok so maybe couple hours? 2 days? a week? No explanation as to how long it would take. So 2 days later I call Rite Aid and asked if my prescription had been transferred since I had yet to hear from them, here's my conversation with a pharmacy worker: Me: I'm calling in regards to a prescription I wanted transferred from Bel Air to your pharmacy." (gave my name) Pharmacy Tech: "We have not received anything yet from that pharmacy." Me: "Are you able to check to see if someone in your pharmacy did call them to have it transferred? Because I need this prescription filled." Tech: "Yes we did call and they just have not sent anything." Me: "That's alright then, I'll just stay with Bel Air and if you can just shred the paperwork I filled out that would be great." Tech: "Ok I'll do that for you." Right after hanging up with them I called Bel Air and I specifically asked if Rite Aid had called to have my prescription transferred. They said, "no, we have not received a prescription transfer request on your behalf." Ok then, now I know where not to go. By the way pharmacy techs a smile or a "we'll be right with you" would go a long way. Everyone there just seems so miserable. I understand how customer service works, I've worked in that environment and I've dealt with many people but I always maintained a positive attitude towards customers and potential customers. Reviewer Jeff W. says that even though there are a few who "gripe" about the service that there are hundreds who don't. Well Jeff some people just don't want to make a fuss and just want to get their prescriptions and get out of there as fast as they can, maybe if they had to go there everyday and get a pill and had to deal with constant bad attitude and subpar customer service maybe then they would say something. I personally don't like giving bad reviews unless they're warranted and this experience has really soured my view of Rite Aid pharmacies. I love shopping there though, sometimes their sale prices are very good. read more

Not enough employees. Waited at the ice cream section for 10 minutes with no help. The 1 lady at the cashier just looked and stared and did nothing else. Walked to the front cashier and there was a line and yet the lady still didn't call anyone up to help. Finally made it up to the front and the lady looks disgruntled and mean. Doesn't say a not even an apology for waiting or not calling someone up to help me with the ice cream section. Just rings me up and hands me the receipt. Not a good Rite Aid unless they get rid of the 1 clerk. read more

It must be the corporate mentality of business nowadays. Being disconnected from reality with an over abundance of money that trickles down in the "I don't care, I 'm making money" crap that hurts all the people trying to just get what they need to dull the pain. Between Rite-Aid, WalMart and Walgreens, I have suffered enough. I'm taking my business to the small family owned businesses. After all, that is what I am anyway. In the past two months, Rite-Aid has lost a handwritten prescription and Walgreens held my hand write for a week. They did nothing to fill the order. Now here I am trying to find a pharmacy that actually has what I have to take. read more

The store is okay, but the pharmacy is awful. They are rude or at best not polite most of the time, you get the perception they hate their jobs; they have run out of medicine on more than one occasion - I've had to 2 - 3 extra days while they order more medicine and they have no follow up as to whether a prescription was authorized or not. We were waiting at the ice cream section waiting for ice cream cause no one was behind the counter. My girlfriend walked and asked one of the ruby rose wannabe looking lady if we could get some help. She didn't saw a word threw a fit and said where is my closed sign. Without telling us if they are opened or closed we decided to walk out. As we were leaving the store she asked us "are you good with ice cream?" With an attitude. Never coming here again. I used to love thrifty's ice cream. This bad experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I will never go to rite aide for anything ever again. read more

Best deal on chips and beer. I'm a regular here. They usually only have in register open but they are very fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place. I get dos Equis here for under $12 for a 12 pack of bottles. read more

I've been looking for a pharmacy that can fill a prescription without trouble but this is definitely not the one. They say they'll call you then don't. If your insurance requires them to call the help line they don't know how to do it. I've waisted so much time doing there job for them. They only answer the phone about half the time. And now the pharmacist had to be there to fill certain prescriptions. They told my my prescription was ready so I drive there and they say can't give it to me until the pharmacist gets back in a couple hours. read more

Always GREAT customer service all over the store, yes Pharmacy can be slow and busy at times but I am ok with that because I understand how busy we keep them there. :-) read more

The worst pharmacy ever , nonprofessional horrible service , they could care less that the medication is important to the customer. was told it would take a few hours to get override from insurance due to mail order was delayed, two days later still not taken care of . Easy location if you live in Antelope. Not cheap, but definitely convenient. And staff are nice.

The staff is very unprofessional,rude. I have auto refill each month and always missing meds They don't care that it's an inconvenience to have to come back. It is so frustrating, they are very close to my home but I'm so considering to find another pharmacy. read more

Horrible. I went there for a prescription my dentist called in. Never again. I had to wait in line behind two people who do not speak english as the russian speaking tech assisted them. After 20 minutes it was my turn but because the person behind me was russian and the next tech was the russian speaking one they helped the girl behind me first. So apparently they discriminate against english speaking americans. After all of that they sold me three times the medication I needed. I had to fill out a form with my private health history even though I informed them I never intended to return. Then I had to wait another 20 min while they added me to their system. I had to fill out another form for some discount even though I already have a rite aid card. They had made a mistake entering my birthday and quizzed me in front of other customers on my personal info and called out about my medication being a suppository before releasing my needs to me as if anti nausea suppositories were a controlled substance. Over all it took over an hour to get three pills that had already been called in and were waiting and the staff then further held me up so she could read my receipt to see what I bought that got me a discount so she could buy one. If you happen to be russian this us probably a great place to go since that gives you preferential treatment. Otherwise avoid. There are three other pharmacies within a mile. read more

Both Pharmacist and pharmacy tech have no patience! I don't recommend this place for prescriptions

Contrary to some of the complaints here on Yelp, I find the pharmacy staff to be very kind and helpful. The store is really busy all the time, and the pharmacy seems to be doing a lot of business so I guess if 4 or 5 people come here to say how terrible it is, there must be hundreds who appreciate their hard work, as I do. Most people don't come on Yelp to say good things about a place, they only come here to complain. (I honestly think yelp should change its name to "Gripe"). I can imagine how frustrating it must be to have to deal with so many disgruntled, unproductive, loser pain pill addicts on a daily basis as I'm certain this pharmacy does. (In line I've watched many a person get very angry and belligerent at the staff when they are told they can't fill their oxycontin 4 days early). People are so rude and lazy these days. Always mad at the pharmacy when their medi-cal, welfare insurance doesn't cover 100% of the cost of their medication! Nobody accepts responsibility for themselves, its always someone else's problem. Anyhow, I just wanted to say thanks to the staff for always taking care of me, and when something wasn't right they followed up and got it fixed. read more

Today I went through pharmacy drive through 4 cars in front of me and they take forever so I turn around to walk in and see recycles im moving and need boxes I was getting some and the manager comes out and says I can't take a certain kind it's against the law. Ok so can I take these others I asked he said yes I said no problem I just didn't know. he stood there and stared forever I put the others back that he said were "against the law " funny no signs posted anywhere I looked first ! So I proceed to get my prescriptions in-side and who's following me around like a criminal him and another manager! I've never been more insulted I've never stolen I pay my way in life and actually have turned in shoplifters there. I'm in there twice a month. Not anymore I'll switch to Walgreens where I'm not stocked by the managers for simply getting my prescriptions. And waiting in line for up to 15 minutes horrible service and store is always cluttered. Thanks to the way I was harassed today they will loose 4 direct customers because of me just letting them know.They have a lot to learn about customer service and should follow actual thieves not a person standing in line for a prescription. read more

Went to Rite Aid on Elverta Road to have them transfer my mother prescriptions from Walgreens to their store at 5:00pm. Next morning, Walgreens said they hadn't received it. So I called Rite Aid back to have them fax over the request again. The prescriptions were transferred around 10:00am, and at 7:20pm, we still have not heard that the prescriptions are ready to be pick up. My mother is in urgent need of these med to help with infection and itchy. This is unacceptable service, too slow and rude staff. Will not go back to this store again. read more

This place does. Not deserve the one star that I gave its. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with! If it's not one thing it's another. Either they don't have in stock what we need, or our called in prescriptions get " lost" and never filled. Then on the rare occasion that we do get a call saying out prescription is done, I get there to pick it up and it is not. And more than once I was actually told by a person to my face and over the phone that other people's meds were more important to fill than mine. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I encourage others to do the same. They are rude and unreliable. read more

Save yourself from the hassle and incompetence at this location. If you don't mind making several trips to this pharmacy to find that your prescription is not filled even after you spoke to two assistants (both reassuring you that it would be filled after 5pm the following day) and if you don't mind having to call your doctors office to resend you prescription because they "didn't get it" the first and second time, or if you enjoy the lovely assistant Pardeep talking over you because she really doesn't know why your prescription isn't filled yet and can't seem to ask the pharmacist standing two feet away from her , why not ( perhaps this workplace is experiencing some communication breakdown) then this may be the pharmacy for you...I have had my last negative experience at this pharmacy and will be switching tomorrow... trust me when I say that you will get better service from a more competent staff at walmart. And one last thing to the Antelope RiteAid and staff...take some of the money made from the over priced medication you sell and invest in a professional freaking flu shot sign! I have been using this Rite Aid for years. I have found the staff always willing to resolve any issues and the service is always quick. Yesterday i dropped off 4 prescriptions late in the afternoon and Rite Aid called and said they were ready before closing. Today I asked to speak with a pharmacist over concerns I had with a drug. He came over and talked with me pronto! Keep up the good Work. read more
