This review is for the thrifty's ice cream. My wife is obsessed and has been for her whole life, so we came here on Valentine's weekend and got her two tubs of her favorite flavors: mint chip and black cherry. She dissuaded me from purchasing the gigantic tub of the mint chip but I'm not convinced I won't go back and get it for her some day. The woman behind the counter helped us out with a scoop of mocha almond fudge and also our two tubs of ice cream. I walked in for my Covid 19 booster shot. Preferably with appointment but the lady (sorry I didn't get her name) saw me in scrubs and made a leeway. This rite aid does not even compare to any other pharmacies. The shelves are always empty, they never have items in stock it almost has a feel of a store that is about to close. Also the pharmacy is not helpful. I found my prescription on goodrx for half the price and they denied a price adjustment within literally 5 minutes of having purchased the prescription. At other pharmacies the pharmacy techs let you know your prescription is available discounted on goodrx when you are purchasing it without insurance, which I appreciate. CVS by Bristol Farms has much more selections of items and they also have better customer service. Definitely CVS or Walgreens are much better. read more

I've had a much better experience here than the nearby CVS so I moved all my prescriptions over to this Rite Aid. You also can't help but love their yummy ice cream. I wish they didn't get rid of the Circus Animal Cookie flavor though. :( Still great! read more

The little Asian lady that works here was throwing stuff around and the ice cream glass pull down doors slamming them hard and kicking stuff around when I ask for ice cream! She was rude and clearly must of had a bad day or she simply couldn't stand me. But I don't know her! I was being polite about it! And she also gave me my ice cream without gloves on her hands after dealing with the register! Maybe she needs to retire! I'm very disgusted with how my granddaughters prescription for bacitracin was handled. She is under medi Cal insurance. When verifying this was filled, I was told no and " you can buy it over the counter". As a nurse, I discharge patients who have prescriptions waiting at their pharmacy such as aspirin. Tylenol, motrin, stool softeners etc. Upon informing the pharmacy technician of this, she then asked for more info re Medi Cal I'd numbers for my grand daughter. I also have previously picked up a different ointment from the same pharmacy about year ago. They say there is no record! So here is the bad review I'm promised to give them. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever!!! They is no consistency and every time I call, I get a completely different answer. My son in now 6 days without his medication. Last Saturday, I was told the medication would be ready on Monday. I call Monday... not ready but should be Tuesday (today). Today I call and they tell me that it hasn't even been ordered yet. Maybe they will have it on Thursday. What is going on other there? Then on top of that, the pharmacist tells me that he actually can't dispense the medication without talking to the doctor. My son has been taking the same medication and same dosage for 6 months however, the pharmacist is stating the prescription was written wrong. Then how did your pharmacy fill it over the last 6 months. Nothing has changed!!! Absolutely horrible. You're better off going to a local pharmacy like Courtyard Pharmacy across the street where real people that care work. read more

4-Star Ice Cream with a 2-Star Pharmacy in a 3-Star Store! OK... If you have been in one Rite Aid you have been in all of them... However, I am willing to bet this one sells more ice cream by the scoop than any Rite Aid you have ever been in. The ice cream is a great value, my kids love the flavors (cotton candy, animal cookie, cookie dough and pistachio are the favorites) and the service is quick and friendly.... It's somewhat good to know I'm not the only one experiencing really bad customer service from the pharmacy. The pharmacist, James, treated me like a dog for not knowing certain answers about my medication, which I got prescribed from Kaiser and needed a prescription transfer (I've never done this before). He appeared to already be in a bothered mood and spewed that onto me. I was in such horrible pain and decided to leave because I couldn't wait any longer to get help and couldn't tolerate being talked to this way. It was a really degrading experience being spoken to in a "you're an idiot" tone from someone who's supposed to be a professional. Only person who was helpful was this younger Caucasian girl that was also in the pharmacy area. read more

This is the nicest pharmacy I've been in by far. Everything is very well organized and clean. You can tell that there is good management and that the employers care. When you see Neosporin lined up in such a nice display along with other products, you know that people care and they are working from their hearts. There are always good deals and specials...always. Thrifty ice cream to all u ices cream lovers is available. I highly recommend this pharmacy. I saw one (or more) mean reviews and I totally don't understand what are they talking about. Love this store! I worked here for two and a half years! My employees were very kind! The ice cream is wonderful with fun flavors! Everyone here is super nice! The whole commons is very sweet! Lots of fun things to do and nice people! I found the customers & employees at the Commons to be quite wonderful! Really enjoyed working here! This is a lovely place to hangout and have some FuNn! Corner Bakery is quite delightful! Then there's Le Pain Quotidien wich is highly recommended! Marmalade Cafe is an enjoyable experience!There is a really fun kitchen store William Sonoma & a great book store Barns & Nobles! Lastly I would like to share with you my favorite spot! It's remarkable, this pharmacy has a nearly perfect record. In 12 years I have never gone to this pharmacy one time when there wasn't some kind of error requiring that a return visit. The people are polite, but the work never gets done. Didn't fill it, didn't order it, forget to order it, didn't contact our doctor, didn't inform when the prescription was ready, informed but the prescription wasn't ready, forgot to bill insurance, no information about co-pay etc. read more

Stopped in to look for some slightly-obscure candy that I wasn't able to find (but that had been available at Rite Aid stores in the recent past). One of their refrigeration units seemed to be broken, or they were installing a new one or something, so their cold beverages were a little more limited than usual. A woman near the front of the store asked if she could help me and when I explained what I was looking for she took me through the store and tried to help me find it. I seemed to have a slightly better understanding of where it would be than she did, and she wasn't actually familiar with the sub-category of candy I was looking for, but I appreciated her enthusiasm and willingness to do her best to help. Despite them not having what I came in for, I did end up buying a couple of things before I left. Overall clean store and I'd stop here again if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Ok so the Pharmacy manager contacted me today and at least apologized although it wasn't her fault but it was kind of her to reach out to me. I still don't know if the rude clerk will be reprimanded. I gave her details of the day and hour I was there so hopefully they can track who was working that night with the dark rimmed glasses! I am giving them 3 stars strictly because it was kind of the Pharmacist to take the time to call me considering I know how busy they are. I will still avoid this pharmacy because I don't want to run into the rude clerk again and it's best for all involved considering I do have a mouth on me also and wouldn't hesitate to give her a piece of my mind when I'm not in a weak and vulnerable position. I am so not impressed with this pharmacy, was at Woodland Hills it closed, moved over to the commons. My wife's first refill was in the system l got a message it was ready, went to get it and the girl told me there was no prescription ready but there was one about to be due for refill so she told me they would have it ready in 15, 15 minutes later she called me up to get the meds, and it was for another med we didn't need for two weeks. I told her which one I needed and she said oh, and went and got it off the rack where it had been hanging and waiting. Fast forward one month and I get the message two meds need refill, I responded yes, two days later I get the message they are ready I can pick up until the 13th finally get there on the 12th and they have already been returned to stock. Last chance, one more example of can't handle it and I'll go back to cvs. I only went to rite aid because of the hours, and they don't do 24/7 in the common's. read more

I have to confess, I only walked into this Rite Aid because they had a Thrifty Ice Cream sign in the window. So, I know nothing about this store other than this one particular aspect. But, on that aspect, it was cool. I haven't had Thrifty Ice Cream since I was a kid. And, just so you know, it was a nickle a scoop (the weird round and tall one) way back then. Yikes. I am giving one star for tolerant, friendly employees and one star for having the products I needed. This location is a total fail otherwise. The store is in a high end center (to quantify, there is a jeweler that specializes in Rolex, Panerai, and can service Cartier watches & jewelry...) but is disheveled, has out of date equipment, and there is no restroom-not even for staff-employees are using the grocer's bathroom or buying $5 coffees to use the bougie bakery bathroom. I had 1 person in front of me in line, and it took another 15 minutes to check out...which I'd not ideal as the closest parking is 30 minutes only. The register software was largely having an issue with applying loyalty points. When I heard this, I refused my phone number and forfeited on some discounts and ample amount on my pricey purchase. Good luck every getting a hold of the Pharmacy by phone. Luckily, I only have to give them a call once a month to refill my prescription. But EVERY time I call the pharmacy, I am put into the loop of having the phone continue to ring, and then going back to the main instruction page. Every time, I have to be on the phone trying to get through to them for about 30-45 minutes before giving up. I finally gave up and called another pharmacy (who answered the phone immediately) and had my prescription sent there, because that seems like the easiest way to pick it up rather than wait on the phone. Completely incompetent and ridiculous. And I usually call 10 or so minutes after the pharmacy opens and they never answer. GREAT customer service. read more
