This is the second Rite Aid that I have been to that has gone out of business. When I go to a going out of business sale, I wanna see items that are actually on sale. Not that are marked up higher to be marked down lower and say that they're on sale. It was kind of like weird and ridiculous. It's like you're insulting my intelligence and my knowledge of what things cost I know that a Franzia box of wine is not $19.99 and then on sale for $13,99...$13.99 is the actual price but you're telling me that's the sale price, I don't know it made no sense to me. Each person's experience is valid but I'm surprised at the low reviews for this specific Rite Aid. This is my regular pharmacy, vaccine spot and occasional spot for sundries and cute random themed items when it comes to grocery time. The pharmacy staff is often busy - and despite that they have always been competent and kind to me. If you're looking to avoid the pharmacy line, try to avoid coming 4-6pm, if possible. I get that is the after work / after school hours where most people have only this time slot for errands. If you can, come 9am-2pm or 7-9pm. To avoid the check out line, they have self check out kiosks. Just don't mess up otherwise the machine freezes and there is normally one cashier available to hold down the line, fix the self checkout machines andddd to scoop your Thrifty ice cream. Give em a break! The selection used to be great - I also love their random seasonal and holiday section and book section. Unfortunately Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy in 2024 to my knowledge so the shelves got noticeably sparse, low in selection and locked up. I think they sent out a memo saying they are recovering, so hopefully we see more selection return. This is also the cleanest Rite Aid or pharmacy I have experienced. It's 24/7 so they have to deal with shady stuff I'm sure. Compared to any Walgreens, CVS or other Rite Aid, this one is the best I've experienced. Reliable pharmacy for my annual vaccinations! I have been stopping by this Rite Aid for the past few years to get my annual shots. I start by making an appointment online and selecting what I need to have done. There is an option to fill out additional necessary paperwork online, but I don't consistently do this and haven't had any trouble getting my vaccinations when I'm there, possibly because I'm a returning patron. I then stop by at my designated appointment day/time and check-in at the counter, located along the back wall of the store. There is almost always some kind of wait because there is only one room for appointments and it seems like they have some prep to do before they are ready to see me. Once I am seen, I am in and out in no time. They recommend you wait around for ~15 minutes to see if you have any adverse reactions to the vaccines, so I roam around a little bit during that time. They have never actually checked to see how I am doing after those 15 minutes are up, so I have skipped this step in more recent visits. They are able to print any necessary documentation I need. When roaming around, I find that the selection at this Rite Aid is pretty limited. They do have a good enough selection if you were to need something from here, but hopefully nothing is ever so urgent that I can't wait a few days for an online order to arrive. read more

Absolute worst pharmacy. Spend your time (so much of it waiting on the slow pharmacist ) and money someplace else where it doesn't feel like the apocalypse occurred (nothing on the shelves). They don't bother to call you if there's an issue with your prescription. They're supposed to text when your prescription is ready. This place sucks. what do they offer? I know everyone has issues with all pharmacies in town and this franchise is known as WRONGAID... however, I recently have had only GOOD experiences at my local store in Culver Center. I have received excellent customer service from the pharmacy staff in the last month of vaccinations and multiple shots... so many of them, apparently I had been avoiding. Well, happy to say I not only had zero adverse reactions except a sore arm ( btw, every shot I have ever received in my life has given me a sore arm. So, not an adverse reaction), but, the people administering said shots have all been wonderful and so skillful at what they do! I love my pharmacist Helen and she has been amazing, diligent, kind and efficient! The support staff are smart and thoughtful. Mimi was wonderful this morning and other staff names I do not remember are all terrific and always are helpful! Let's just say that at this CHEERS kind of place everyone DOES know my name and way too much information... Many of the RITEAIDs are closing around Los Angeles but this one is hopefully here to stay! So I had a late night craving for a scoop of thrifty ice cream so I came in to rite aid excited. It was around 10:45 pm when I walked to the ice cream section when the employee working there told me the ice cream is closed to come before 10 pm which I've never heard of because I've been there on occasions past 12 and seen them serving ice cream. I would understand if it was busy but the store was empty. So idk when this rule went into affect but it was very unfortunate because I've been going for many years and especially for the thrifty ice cream. read more

After 20 plus years of doing business with the pharmacy, they now require their customers to order certain prescriptions in person. Then, you have to wait for them to be filled or come back at a later time to pick them up. This is a preposterous new policy that makes no sense whatsoever and is incredibly inconvenient. I've transferred my prescriptions to CVS. read more

On more than one occasion, prescriptions have not been filled when said. Pharmacist is very rude and there's a big lack of communication. I just had a knee replacement and need my pain meds and they have postponed 3 times now . I will be changing pharmacist as soon as possible!!! read more

On 12/10/24 @ 11:18 pm, I called this Rite Aid to let them know that my bank sent me a text noticed that someone made an attempt to use my debit card to make a $400 dollar purchase at the store. I made a copy of the text from the bank, made a copy of my bank ledger showing the attempt and did what I thought was the best thing for a person to do ( call the store and report it to the manager). Turns out that this was the worst experience I could have ever asked for (the manager "Tamara" told me to call my bank and that I would have to deal with them and THEN HUNG UP IN MY FACE IMMEDIATELY). I called back a 2nd time and a representative named "Paul" answered the call. I briefly told him my situation and preceded to ask again for "Tamara" the store manager on duty. He told me, "that he wasn't sure that he could find her and she was probably busy". He was actually ok and comfortable saying that as an explanation for her not coming to the phone. This is Culver City, CA Rite Aid staff and "manager" on duty (3802 Culver City Blvd. Culver City, CA 90232). I am absolutely astonished and shocked that there was no concern or leader who understood what I was explaining to them. This dereliction is epic and in the entirely wrong way! From the President to the Senior Store Manager this needs to be dealt with. I am speechless and hope no one else will have this type of poor and awful experience. read more

This store is playing games and obviously the higher up's don't get this is a prime location. It's surrounded by several apartment buildings within one block and multiple close neighborhoods. Yet it stays having empty shelves. I don't get it. And the kicker is the neighborhood keeps giving them chances, including myself. Every time I go in, in hopes they will finally have stalked shelves, there are multiple shoppers. Ya'll don't like business and are looking for reasons to close, I guess. read more

Saturday, March 9, 2024 My wife and I had an appointment for a COVID booster vaccination at another Rite Aid but when we showed up they didn't have the correct booster we needed. An associate called this location and told us to drive over here as they had what we needed. I haven't been to this location for many years. I was very impressed with the look of this store. It must have been remodeled since my last visit. Wide aisles, beautiful flooring and spotlessly clean. We checked in and were told to sit in the pharmacy waiting area. A few minutes later Helen showed up and collected all our information and we signed the paperwork. Helen then retrieved the vaccinations and we were quickly and painlessly vaccinated. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Helen is a true professional and a lovely person as well. Come here for your pharmacy needs, prescriptions and vaccinations you won't be disappointed. read more

Is this Rite-Aid going out of business soon? The reason I ask is because I went there yesterday and so many of the shelves were completely empty. This store has improved. It's been remodeled and is now cleaner with wider aisles than before. The pharmacy is still a bit slow but I've come here for flu shots a few times and the wait was okay. The nurse who gave me the shot was nice and did it with courtesy. Parking is still a challenge as there are many retail stores and restaurants near by. A better spot to park is behind the store on Culver Center near Ralph's. read more

Manager was VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!! The manager wouldn't let me by COLD medicine on behalf of DoorDash for a customer. He said he had to have a physical ID versus my virtual drivers license. A young Hispanic guy, that's obviously at least 10 years younger that me. This was very inconvenient. I never even had to show my id for medicine that already has been purchased through DoorDash for someone else at 3 something AM. read more

This Rite Aid is terrible. Long waits, medications not ready, a phone that rings in another dimension... everyone knows this store sucks. Some nice people work here and I don't blame them. I don't even blame the not-nice people who work here. I blame the Rite Aid shareholders who are clearly invested in keeping profits high at the expense of customer experience and patient care. Don't come for me, Pam F, because we both know you can't do a thing about this. If Rite Aid's owners cared about improving this store, they would have done that, because like I said, everyone knows it sucks. If you're unlucky enough to fill your prescriptions at this pharmacy, please be patient with Oscar and Helen and the other folks who work here, because they aren't the real problem--capitalism is. I've been coming here for years. Experiences range from good, bad, and ugly. In the the past few times Eilin (i hope I spelled it right) has been amazing in maximizing my benefits and possible saving. She along with a really helpful Hispanic rep help me get in and out with ease. As an example, my meds were rung up at $60 patient co pay several times and Eilin always finds the right formula to get me the best price. I walked out with my necessary meds today for $15. WOW! This Rite Aid in the shopping center along Overland between Venice and Washington Blvds. is very convenient and there is usually lots of parking (except at crowded holiday times). There's a Starbucks right at the corner so after your load up your credit card, you can get a 'buckys to go. Needed some wrapping paper and am still on the hunt for gift boxes. Found some here, some nice ones with Santas on them, but no one seems to have large gift boxes. Pooey. They have good greeting cards here. And of course if you're craving an ice cream, they still have the original Thirfty ice cream cones, if you can get someone to wait on you. The aisles are a little confusing and very close together. Every time I'm in here the place seems a little more run down, but when you need drugstore items, they usually have them. The clerks always seem like having customers to ring up is something unexpected, and sometimes there is a long line, but it goes pretty quickly. read more

I love going to this Rite Aide if only for the ice cream. I remember when 1 scoop (way back when it was still Thrifty's) was only 35 cents! ((Sigh)) Nostalgia. But I also like finding bargain sales on cosmetics. I can't handle too much on my face (allergies), but they have some cool lip glosses and eye shadows. One time I use the eyeshadow to put shimmery brown highlights in my braids...really cool. The Rite Aid in Culver Center has been our family pharmacy for 20+ years, and it used to be a fantastic neighborhood pharmacy. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. As others have posted, the customer service has become non existent. They never answer the phone, and on the rare occasion they do it's only to place you on hold for 30 mins and then are rude and condescending. We have several elderly people in our household who get numerous prescriptions and there always seems to be some sort of issue with each of them. When you try and get help from the associates, you are met with an attitude and discourteousness. I have spoken with the manager on several occasions only to be met with the same rudeness and lack of service. Unfortunately, due to the above, we will have to find a new local pharmacy. read more

The Pharmacist I spoke to today at 9:28 am was extremely unprofessional and very rude. I called to confirm a refill request for a patient , and I like to document my notes and clarify who I spoke to just incase I need to circle back with follow up questions or if my patients have questions and they can request to speak who I just spoke to and this " unprofessional Pharmacist " refused to give me her name and questioned me why do I need her name. I kindly responded with I like to document my notes just incase my patients have questions or my Doctor has follow up question and asked who I spoke to. She basically said , " You don't need my name I am the a Pharmacist " and hung up on me ! How disrespectful and unprofessional. I am decussated with this service. How should my patients or and customer trust this "professional" if she is unable to identify herself. What kind of service is she providing. I hope in the future Rite Aid finds a workshop in customer service for the staff they hire and represent the company. They are the face of the company and I am sure they would not like anymore bad reviews. read more
