One of the nicer ones I've visited. Compared to the one I used to be closer to in Hollywood, this is a Four Seasons compared to a Motel 6. I don't usually like taking painkillers, but I had to find a specific one within a couple days timeframe. Rite-Aid not only had it, but it was less expensive here than CVS, etc. They also have a Thrifty's on-site and although I didn't get any on this visit, it took willpower to walk out. Plenty of parking since this is a decent-sized shopping center with a Panera, Pavilions, etc. read more

If you're in the market for an unreliable pharmacy, I recommend the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Culver City on Jefferson Boulevard. I was told that my prescription was ready and I went to the pharmacy on Tuesday afternoon. When I arrived at the pharmacy, I was told that it wasn't ready and I should come back at another time. I called Rite Aid and was told that I should come back on Thursday after 4:00pm. I did just that. I was told that the prescription was not in the store and I should come back the following day. This is a pharmacy that has zero respect for the customer's time and patience. Their word means absolutely nothing. When they tell you a prescription is going to be ready on a certain date, know in advance that their promise is totally meaningless. My recommendation to you is this: If you value your time, make a point of avoiding this pharmacy. read more

Horrible Pharmacy!!!! I have never had any problems with a pharmacy except this one . Each Time I come here it's always problems.. my mother has had the similar experiences with this pharmacy . I'm will find another CVS. I left CVS on Bristol because of their closure. The medications is never filled on time - it takes days. Their phone system doesn't work- I had to submit the order online after repeatedly calling the pharmacy number. Seems like the pharmacy has to be there to dispense medication certain medication like synthoid. But I have been taking this med for a while . I had to go home and wait - and I don't even live in Culver City. When the medication is ready , they do not have a good notification system that the prescription is ready when you wait in store. We frequently visit this Rite Aid in Culver City on Jefferson Blvd. We come here for almost everything we need from medical needs to ice cream to beauty supply. I would have given this location 5 stars but bc the Pharmacy area is super slow, I deducted 1 star. I do want to say that The customer service is usually good. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. This location is right next to Pavilions. This used to be my favorite pharmacy pre covid but the service in the pharmacy has gone to complete garbage. The pharmacists used to care but they are long gone. Both my spouse, myself, and my child have had to go without regularly prescribed medications (including heart medication) for various stupid reasons on their part. I called this pharmacy at least a dozen times yesterday, beginning at 9 am, to check on an rx NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE EVER. This place is the worst. It is right by my house so I give them one chance after another. They never pick up the phone. One time I showed up when they were opening and I waited 20 minutes. Sometimes when they get a prescription, they don't tell you it's not in stock. Always one pharmacist working and you have to wait. And I know this sounds like a silly expectation , but they really should have Wi-Fi for a place where people are waiting for a while. There is no cell service in the building, and if you have to make a call or look something up on your phone, you have to go out into the parking lot. I only go here because it's convenient. Lately there are never enough people to help you find anything, and often there is only one cashier open with a long line. Especially since you now have to wait in line to pay for ice cream, so you're standing in line with people and kids with melting ice cream cones waiting to pay, not very efficient. She went above and beyond to help me with an emergency prescription that I needed filled. I have Kaiser, but it was an emergency and rite aid was closer. My husband was on his way there and I called in to specifically let the pharmacist know that he is on his way and to please wait until 9pm to close. She said, "I can't close after 9pm and would get in trouble if I wait for him to show up." I said I am not asking her to close after 9pm. ONLY to not close before 9pm. Her response was a who-cares attitude like "he has to get here before 9pm, we close at 9pm". Okay lady. I got it. So guess what? My husband shows up at 8:55pm and the pharmacy was closed and locked up. Seriously? After I specifically told you I NEED those painkillers after surgery today and you made a big fuss how you close at 9pm and not a second later, else "she'll get in trouble". If by chance they don't have my flavor of choice at the counter they'll offer to check the freezer for me. Another random reason why I like this location is that they always have black santa decor for sale during the holidays. If you're black you know the importance of that. I usually stop by on my way to work, so I'm more familiar with the morning team. I agree the selection isn't the best, but they get 5 stars for service. I'm always greeted with a "good morning" and am asked if I need help. I want to add a comment for the pharmacy team. My regular Rite Aid is out of town and I've had to use this pharmacy about 5 or 6 times, and every single time they have been BEYOND helpful. They expedite the Rx, the consults are helpful and they even give extra advice. Maybe it's a Rite Aid thing, but I've always had good experiences with them. read more

This has been my pharmacy for years. In the past year, it has gone down hill. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be ready. I started to call to confirm. Even though they say they both by text and by phone confirm, when I pick up and they still aren't ready. The pharmacist is NEVER there and they can't do anything if she is on break. Which is always. She is always on a break. It often takes me 2 days to get a prescription refilled. I have some 6 month scripts, so I can't change to a new pharmacy yet. However, I am definitely going to change next cycle. read more

When there, the pharmacist violated my HIPAA right on multiple occasions (said my full name out loud and the name of my medications when i repeatedly asked her to lower her voice to protect my privacy), accused me of being an addict (I've been on pain meds for years due to major back surgery and multiple injuries) even though I've never refilled prescriptions early and was rude degrading and insulting. This pharmacy is an embarrassment to Rite Aid. I've used other locations before but I will NEVER step foot into this location I've even discouraged my patients from using Rite Aid after what I experienced. I've filed a complaint with the State of California pharmacy board as well and will take this as far as I can. I'd give them zero stars if possible. Please avoid this place at all costs. read more

This is actually the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. My first doctor sent them a prescription electronically at 11:30am. Then around 2:30pm my second doctor did the same. I get to the pharmacy around 7:30pm where a young lady tells me my insurance doesn't cover the second prescription and they never filled my first prescription. She adds that she can't do it now because a pharmacist isn't there but she should be back at 8pm. This is 8 hours later and my prescription wasn't filled?! However, she did say she faxed a form to my second doctor. Fast forward 5 days later. I call my second doctor, they said they never got the form. I call the pharmacy and speak to the same lady. She says she'll call the second doctor. 3 hours later I called my second doctor and they still haven't received the form and the pharmacy never called them. I call the pharmacy again and a different woman immediately put me on hold indefinitely. How am I supposed to get my prescriptions?! They don't do anything here! This is the absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had. If the employees are this bad I can only imagine how the manager is. read more

I am giving the store 2 stars for the nice renovation. The pharmacy, especially Gozie, does a wonderful job. However I have one big complaint - if you fill your Rx, they will call you with a recorded message over and over and over again, sometimes even after you pick up the Rx. This is so annoying to get 4 phone calls in the same afternoon. One message is sufficient Tonight I had to use the restroom. What a filthy mess, unflushed toilets, no toilet paper, seat covers, nor paper towels The walls, partitions, mirror were filthy, urine covering the floor of the women's bathroom stall. I brought it to the attention of the Mgr. and his assistant, explaining their custodian had not cleaned it in 6 months or more. They said they had no custodial staff, they were it‼ Obviously Rite Aid doesn't hire sufficient staff because both men were working the registers‼‼ Why do a renovation & not clean the store or hire employees???????? read more

I have pretty low standards for customer service so I never leave reviews based on just that, but all I did was buy 3 things and I'm always polite. I inserted my card for payment and had to wait for the cashier to talk to another employee about some other "shady" customers. She repeated my total as my card still waited to be recognized and when I tried to tell her as she continued the conversation. She reacted with, "what??" As in what do you want? I explained that my card had been sitting in the reader for a while so she just quickly run it finally and left me without asking me if I'd like a bag or apologizing for ignoring me. I give 3 stars due to a pharmacy's tech sour attitude. I shop at this location regularly, mainly picking up prescriptions. For the most part, my whole store experiences have been good except for two incidents that involved the aforementioned RUDE pharmacy tech. I went to pick up two prescriptions. I was the only one in line. There were three other people waiting but had been helped. As I waited the tech approached one of the three ppl who were helped. She asked the customer questions about whatever business she was helping her with. The tech NEVER acknowledged me once. Of course other ppl filed in line. Still waiting. No one said anything to me or the new customers who came to the line. A pharmacist or asst reared his head but he didn't say anything to the growing number of people. I shook my head. It was quite unbelievable how the two employees chose to ignore customers. The tech who assisted the customer who was there before me chose to help another customer who came to the line about five minutes after I did! I had enough. I approached the window and asked her why she stepped in my presence twice, said not one word to me but elected to help someone who came to the line after me??! Bottom line, I'm sending a letter to the pharmacy board about tech's deplorable attitude. I'd not want to have to take me and My family's business elsewhere. But I refuse to keep giving my business and money and be treated like dog feces. read more

Then an employee went to look at the location I told him I found the item and he was gone for 8 minutes. My goodness. I walked out. I will not return. I know, I know. Why am I reviewing Rite Aid? I swear, in my head, it's still Thrifty to me. I must be old. Last weekend, my gf got married, and asked me to go purchase some last minute touch-up makeup that she may need. Unfortunately, the MAC store is not 24 hours, so I had to settle for the 2nd best place that's known for their makeup... Rite Aid. LOL. She ended up not using the makeup, so luckily, I was able to return the items, since they were all unopened. I get to the register. Wow... customer service is horrific here. No smiles, and I was pushed off to 3 different registers for doing a return. REALLY? Does anyone know how to do returns here? After the 3rd person completed my transaction, she asks me to sign a receipt, and assumed that was it. I had to ask her for my original receipt, as I wanted some sort of proof, considering I was returning $85 worth of makeup (yes, $85). So I've been pretty much eyeing my credit card, to make sure the money gets back to my account. It's been less than 24 hours, and I'm still crossing my fingers. This pharmacy is infuriating. I suppose I only have myself to blame for not taking my prescriptions elsewhere, but I've reached my breaking point. Members of my family have a total of 7 medications that need to be refilled monthly and every time we need a refill it's a saga. If we phone in the refill, it's never ready when we pick it up, but they don't call to tell you that they're out of stock. If a doctor calls in a scrip it won't get filled until you show up. If you go in on a Saturday morning when the pharmacy opens, the pharmacist often isn't there for at least 45 minutes, and if you show up during the last hour, the pharmacist is invariably "at lunch." Well, I've been a sucker for this shoddy service for too long. I will gladly go to a less convenient location for a more reliable service. If you're looking for a local pharmacy, look elsewhere. Even for Rite Aid this place is a mess. The shelves are frequently mis-categorized or empty, the price labels often fall off of things, and the store servers are intransigent invalids. To sum this place up in one anecdote: Every time I go in, someone has to ask the front for someone to go to the ice-cream counter to serve them while the employee looks annoyed, and promptly tells the closest checker to go over there. I normally wouldn't take the time to write a review about a drug store, however, my experience here has been so-so. To start, they always seem to be out-of-stock of whatever I need which is frustrating. Then recently I sent my prescriptions to be filled here instead of the CVS on Bristol Parkway (behind the Fox Hills mall), and should have never done that! First they screwed up and filled my prescription too early (which I already knew). I figured they would have held onto it for the week until I was scheduled for my next round, and they didn't! What the heck??? So I go in on Sunday and have them refill it and I'm told Monday afternoon it will be ready. I specifically ask if it will be ready by 6:00pm, and I'm told "yes, absolutely." I show up on Monday at 6:30pm, and after waiting through some painfully slow service, I am told that my prescription has not yet been filled. Needless to say, I'm going to get me prescriptions filled at the CVS on Bristol Parkway again. I may have to drive a couple of extra miles, but it is worth it if it means that I don't have to drive to Rite-Aid three different times to fill one prescription. read more

While driving North on the 405 in the pouring rain, we stopped at this Rite Aid to pick up some headache medicine and a new charger for my i-phone. Well, we were actually headed to a Target, but my Yelp generated Google map and my GPS couldn't seem to agree on how to get there and finally we just stopped at this RIte Aid out of frustration. The store was clean and well stocked. I had no problem finding the charger while my brother found some Excedrin. There only appeared to be one worker there, but he was friendly and smiling and the line moved quickly so it wasn't an issue. We were in and out of the store in about 5 minutes. Driving out of the parking lot, I ripped open the charger package only to find it wouldn't fit into my ipod or my iphone. My brother took a look at it and said one of the connector pieces was bent, so back to the store we went. Thank goodness I decided to plug it in before we made it out of the parking lot or we'd have been miles away from here when I discovered it. Back inside the store, I saw the lone worker helping someone at the ice cream counter - uh oh - I was a little nervous that it was going to take me forever to get out of here and back on the road. Out of nowhere, a second worker appeared, a big smile on her face and headed for the cash register where 3 people were already in line. She noticed I already had a bag and asked me if I needed help. She saw the bent piece and sent me back to get another one while she helped the other people. When I got back to the register she cut the package open to let me test that this one fit. It did, and she sent me on my way with no need to run it back through the register. We were all on our way quickly! Want to have your prescription filled incorrectly and your time wasted over and over? Then definitely go to this pharmacy. Over the past few days, I have called each time before going to attempt to pick up a prescription. The first time, I got there and was told they couldn't give it to me yet because they didn't have my insurance information. AND THEY COULDN'T HAVE TOLD ME THAT OVER THE PHONE???!!! (Before mentioning to the staff person that I'd called ahead she said, sassily "You could have given it to us over the phone.") Then, when my husband finally picked it up for me and brought it home, it said I should take the medication once a day for 14 days, but then it also said Quantity: 2 (and there were just two pills in the bottle). I called to ask about the discrepancy and was told, "Oh, we told you that it was only a partial fill of your prescription because we didn't have enough of the drug." That was a complete lie - nothing of the sort was mentioned to me or my husband. When I went back to pick of the remainder of the prescription two days later, I called first and was told it was definitely ready. So take time out of my work day, pack my infant into the car, go over there, get her into her stroller, go inside and wait in line for ten minutes, only to be told it's ACTUALLY NOT READY AND I'LL HAVE TO COME BACK. Extreme incompetence and unprofessional behavior. This place is beyond pathetic and not worth your time. read more

Poor Rite-Aid. I remember when this opened and it was supposed to take the pressure off Target. Sadly when you also decrease the size of your workforce to like, 3, all sorts of new problems arise. The Pharmacy has 2 of the employees, then the cashier, and maybe a manager is on duty. this leads to no one helping when you want ice cream or even random assistance. (they have to be called on the intercom). As far as what I needed, They had all the usual body wash, shampoo and shaving cream I needed, so in that respect it was satisfactory. However there was only one lane open; I will give some note to the manager who opened a second lane (thank you!) to assist the cashier. Perhaps Rite-Aid has personnel problems and they need to keep the numbers down? It's definitely not the fault of the staff, but even working with very little in an effective way is still "very little". read more
