The customer service at the pharmacy is beyond poor. Today I went through the drive-through line. And was told by the rude lady working the window that I had to go in order of service. Obviously, I can't go in front of the car in front of me as I am in the drive-through line. Then she continues to take three other cars ahead of me that were arrived well after me. It wasn't until I push the button again that she went to speak to me and told me she could not help me because I was in the wrong line for That they don't do pick up out of this line. I was only there to drop off an insurance card, as she never talked to me and asked me what I was there for she might have figured that out. Instead she was rude. Horrible return policy. Even when the employees themselves saw the purchase and later we came to return and they were being super rude. It was around closing time and they made it clear they weren't trying to stay over their schedule. Even though they were on the clock at the time they were supposed to help. The pharmacy department is so highly unorganized. We had scheduled appointments. We arrived early and they said that we had to wait until our scheduled appointment. So we patiently waited. Our appointment was at 10:40am for mom, 11:20 for brother and 11:40 for me. They called us at the window at 11:10am. They did not follow the scheduled appointments. They call brother first. When we went to the front desk and told them that they are not following the time frames. They get all mad. They said that we had to be patient. We were the only ones in the entire store getting our booster shots. Not we're they only rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional. Customer service at their finest to say the least. Specially the pharmacist herself. As a highly educated pharmacy leader. She needs to step up the bar so all assistants can follow her lead. It takes one upset leader to upset the entire staff. I had a prescription sent to this location. The posted hours online and on the front door said they closed at 10:00 PM. My wife and I arrived a couple minutes before 9:00 PM. We went straight to the pharmacy and got what we needed. The pharmacist was very helpful. Once we were done at the pharmacy it was a few minutes after 9:00. We were surprised when we got to the front door and it was locked. They had to open it to let us out. I guess they close at 9:00? It was confusing, but I'm glad we could get what we needed. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 10:45 to get tested. There's one only one small signs that indicates we're your supposed to go to get tested. It's had written and really small. It was hard to read what it said. I called to ask where was I supposed to go to get my schedule test done. I called the the store and before I could finish my sentence the girl on the phone cut me off and said she was gonna transfer me. I waited on the phone for 10mins. I figured I'd try the drive to the drive through. When it was my turn to pull up to the drive-through window it took about 15 minutes for the pharmacist to give me the swab to test my self. I could hear a bunch of arguing. I did the test and the pharmacist was completely distracted. He asked me like 2-3 times if I was done. Next time I go to dodger stadium to get tested they're a lot more organized. read more

Terrible service I went to this location because it is the only one near my house and I was craving the famous thrifties ice cream. It wasn't busy whatsoever, I think it's safe to say that it was empty. When I went to the ice cream counter, I was told that the ice cream would be served in 30 minutes, at the time it was 8:30. After waiting 40 minutes, I returned and was told off by the same lady that they were closed. What confused me the most about that conversation was how hostile and aggressive she was seeing that I had just walked in. I rarely ever write reviews, even if I had a bad experience at a store I don't complain like a Karen but this one takes the cake this is regarding one specific employee. I came in on 1/13 at 6:13 pm, I noticed 3 cop cars outside but couldn't tell if they were here at rite aid or jack in the box, came inside rite aid saw no trouble so didn't think much of it. I came here looking for nasal spray,had trouble finding it and I asked a worker where it was at, pointed it to me found him really helpful shouts out to him. I'm standing at the checkout line and a nice lady is helping me, while I overhear the cashier on the right start saying stuff about the cops being here. The cashier said "Aw man the cops are here, I hope they don't run my license plates I have a warrant for my arrest." Customer he's helping says nothing just slight laugh, and the cashier keeps going saying "yeah I beat my wife hope she didn't call the cops on me so much for the witness protection" to which the customer nervously giggled and said haha that hit dark quickly. The worker just kept yapping about nonsense trying to be funny, I didn't pay too much attention to what he looked like but believe he was bald, you can check the security cameras at 6:19 pm register number 4 I believe, I genuinely hope there's audio on these cameras to get this sob fired in no way should you be talking like this. How are you this comfortable to be speaking like this in public at work, to a complete stranger while there's other people here, if he talks like this in public I don't even want to imagine what he says or does in private. read more

This was the worse experience I have ever had. David humiliated me today. He started to ring up my transaction. Before he even finished ringing up the transaction, He pressed confirm. I tried to explain to him that the customer says yes to using points but the cashier does not confirm until they scan all your coupons. After they scan , they confirm and you can use your points to pay the balance. Any riteaid cashier properly trained can confirm this. He kept telling me I was wrong and he as a manager and I didn't know what I was talking about. I asked could we talk with the other cashier because I was helped by him a few weeks ago and he told him no, go help the other customers. I asked if I could show him an old receipt so he could see that the coupons and points were used in a transaction. He told me the way he was doing it is the only way. He told me I was wasting his time and holdings up his customers. He needs to be trained on how to properly do a transaction with points and coupons. He told me I was making a scene. All I was trying to do was get my transaction done. I have no product, my riteaid coupon expired. Thank goodness my local riteaid is not like this. read more

My favorite time to come to this RiteAid is in the morning because an employee by the name of Martha is working. If you really want to test your employees customer service skills, sending a coupon shopper. Their true personality will come out. The line was so long, she was the only employee there the phone was ringing by a customer I could hear her talking about a heater that they were inquiring about, the lady in front of me had coupons and a toddler who was grabbing everything inside then in comes a vendor to drop something off and he needed signatures, a paragraph This lady never skipped a beat, she has the sweetest demeanor if I come and nobody's there... Do you know that her demeanor was exactly the same during all this chaos. She would ask politely, do you mind if I sign this really quick? And she would that in my Hispanic culture you use for friends and relatives mija or miho which really shows you the true person she is. I used to do mystery shopping for 10 high ranking companies, and I'm used to looking for what an employee does wrong. This is why I enjoy Yelp so much because I use it rarely when I see great customer service. I was telling the manager that this lady runs the entire store from behind the register and nobody feels frustrated because of her cool calm sweet demeanor and like I told the manager that I see sales associates true nature because of my coupons and 80% of the employees that I see shouldn't be in customer service because they are not people persons, To every drug store in the area from La Mirada to Compton to Lakewood to Whittier and I frequent all of them CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens. If I were to pick one sales associate that would stand above them all it would be Martha truthfully honestly I have never said that. This Rite Aid is great and sometimes they have some great items on sale. They also have the best ice cream and flavors. There are times when I have a short list of small items that I need sooner than later and don't want to bother traveling farther to a larger store and am satisfied to shop here. The aisles are neat and clean, the shelves are usually well stocked with all kinds of merchandise and no crowds of people in the aisles when I go, so sometimes I spend more time browsing for things that I may not need right now but think I may need in the future. The customer service is friendly overall and I've been greeted by the cashiers at the front and they always thank me when giving me change and a receipt. There may be a problem with staffing more people judging from the other reviews but it seems fine when I'm there. I'm still a fan of this location. read more

The drive thru pharmacy (which is suppose to be for convenience) is not really convenient :( they take so long to finally get to you at the window. I came to pick up my prescription at 3:30pm and they said it would be ready at 4:30pm, and the pharmacist told me she'd text my number when it was ready. It was 45 minutes past the time that I should've received a text, so I called. Another pharmacist who answered said she never signed me up to receive texts -.- Most of pharmacists are pretty rude. Worst pharmacy ever. I came to get a prescription filled, and I waited over half an hour AFTER they had called to tell me it was ready. Once I got to the register I had to wait almost ten minutes for the transaction to go through. While I was waiting two people in the drive-thru and the person behind me all completed transactions. But I had to wait for the pharmacist to come over and push a button on the register. She didn't even look at me or acknowledge my existence at all even though I said hi and tried to be friendly (despite the fact that I was pissed). I'm never going back to ANY Rite-Aid. This place has changed....I've lived in this neighborhood for about 9 years and find it convenient to come to this location but this is the last time I come here...Temora I believe is her name has a really messed up attitude...came to get some ice cream for my kids and I was standing over by the ice cream section for a few minutes so I decided to ask for help...she couldn't even look at my face and said someone will be with me but like I had troubled her in some way...so I told my kids let's go to Baskin Robbins instead...as we were walking out my daughter told me she had a a bad experience with the same manager so I decided to go back and get her name from the security person...security didn't have the same attitude she was really nice and offered to treat my kids to the ice cream herself since she noticed I was upset ...apparently this happens a lot but she's unable to offer help because rite aid employees are now union and she can't do their work or they file complaints against her...as she's explaining this the cashier starts laughing at my situation which only makes things worse...anyway this is pretty sad...this manager really needs some customer service training and the cashier needs some lessons in respect...DONT COME HERE!! The lady who is the head pharmacist I believe is lazy and really doesn't care. Please don't get me wrong here, i'm not a racist coz i myself came from different country, but the only way I can describe that lady is that she looks like she's from India, and sadly, I didn't get her name. So basically I showed with my mom to get the medication needed by my father asap. I told her that since we left the original prescription from CVS (where it's actually far from our home),we were told we can request RITE AID (near our place) to just phone CVS so they can transfer the information and we will be able to avail the medication to where it's more convenient for us. Not to mention, it will not even take that long! And what answer we received from that Pharmacist, "im really busy. You have to go back tomorrow coz i can't call CVS no more." Then i calmly reply (even though that pissed me off and there are many of them there who can actually help us and all they need is approval from her),"but my dad really needs the medication already." Now she said, "unfortunately, I can't do it tonight." And I see her colleagues like really wanted to help us but couldn't coz she is the boss. What a b***h!
