This Rite Aid doesn't have a drive thru! This pharmacy is very busy in the pharmacy. So might have to wait a bit.

This review is about the service and pharmacy in general. While this location absorbed the load of prescriptions from the closed Plaza Dr. Rite Aid in San Juan, it's clear they didn't get any more help with additional staff/crew, or any of the good pharmacy staff from the old Plaza location. I miss the Plaza Dr. Rite Aid. At this Camino Capistrano location, the lines are simply too long, sometimes waiting in a 10-20 minute line only to be told, "it's not ready yet - give us 15 more minutes".....oh, and you get to wait in the long line, again. There doesn't appear to be a good time to come here to avoid a line, unfortunately. This is unfortunate. I don't recall having the same poor experience at the other Rite Aid, when it was open. Now I am going to need to transfer our small quantity of prescriptions (mostly my dad's who's at a Senior living place in town) to some other pharmacy. For those of you who are able to do so, think hard about either using (a) Costco or (b) CostPlusDrugs.com. CostPlusDrugs.com gets me one of my dad's 'scrips for 1/5 of the price I was paying at Rite Aid for the same. And I get a 90-day refill worth. Think hard about that - super convenient. read more

Super awesome location in town and open late which helps for everything from birthday cards and ice cream to full service Pharmacy. Speaking of, the pharmacy team are friendly, fast and always help above and beyond. I never wait too long and I'm able to get exactly what I need. All the employees here are awesome. They work really hard and they have to deal with a lot of challenges coming at them from all directions. I rely on this place big time for the pharmacy, nice cards & stationery, OTC medicines, random beauty emergencies and staple items. I always see everyone being nice & doing their best while putting in the hours. Not to mention they have ice cream, Papyrus cards, contact lens supplies, some pet stuff and a great candy selection, especially during holidays. I asked to purchase stamps the checker was confused and then told me they have 4 packs of them I asked for 10 packs of 4 but did we do not have that many. Rung me up for 2 packs of 4. He asked the checker next to him for the stamps and he pulled out a large stack of them. What the issue is there a restriction on selling stamps? Do not buy any gift cards from this store. Every time I purchase one. There's not the amount I paid for on the card. This has happened twice now. Yes, lets stop complaining and try to understand what the workers are going through. They have to work and mingle with people, they don't get to quarantine. I had a beautiful experience this morning at Rite-Aid. The pharmacist was so thoughtful as was the clerk who first helped me. Kind and considerate, beyond her pay scale. Those 2 made my day. Then I go to the front of store to pay for some other purchases and the associate helping me was also very kind. Giving me suggestions and helping me after I dropped all my stuff as I was leaving the store. I have all good things to say about this store. So Merry Christmas, happy holidays. read more

We've been coming here for almost a decade (the ice cream is a great treat for the kids). Year over year the customer service has gotten worse. DO NOT use this pharmacy!! They repeatedly start filling prescriptions when you arrive regardless of when it is sent in. Stay clear and save yourself the wasted time. read more

What a great experience today! My husband stopped by this evening for some supplies for our newborn baby & he couldn't find anything! Lol Lupe was very helpful & patient! I definitely would not recommend this pharmacy. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or having training difficulties but they don't seem to be able to read the prescriptions sent over from each doctor and said they didn't see the dosage or didn't get the fax, etc... I would have to call the (two different) doctors and ask which they would say it was sent over and the dosage was there and that the pharmacy is having issues. Very frustrating when your supposed to be taking meds at a certain time and can't! read more

Where do I start? This pharmacy is the absolute worst on THE PLANET. Yes, it's busy. Yes, it can be slow. The Plaza location closed and absorbed business. Got it. My issue is with the nasty, judgmental, horrible excuse for a human being the pharmacy manager is. And that culture she has created has slowly trickled down to staff. After several years of major health problems, I have been on several meds--some of them controlled. Not huge quantities by any means, not multiple doctors, no pharmacy jumping. But I would go to fill my legitimate, physician prescribed rx's and this place treats you like you're some drug seeking crackhead. I thought this was simply my misperception. It turns out that the "word" is getting out about the attitudes and unprofessional behavior of this pharmacy and its management. Several other pharmacists I spoke with have heard about it. Same with my doctor's office. The manager has gone so far as to trash talk said (local and well respected) doctor--once stating that "She does a lot of things she isn't supposed to". How disrespectful can she be?? Do yourself a favor. Transfer your rx's to the Rite Aid at Gateway plaza. They are busy, like most pharmacies in South OC. But you won't get treated like a piece of garbage in order to get medication. read more

San Juan Capistrano is hilarious because they have two Rite Aids across the street from each other- maybe its because traffic is so horrible. Rite AId has the best prices ever on twelve packs of beer- so if you are headed to a party stop here. They have great beer too- Alaskan Amber 10.99!!! read more

Ehh the only issue I have with this place is I have to hunt a worker down for like 10 minutes to get some ice cream. A little disorganized. They should have instructions how to get assistance when coming for the ice cream since that is their other service they provide. Every time I go, I have to prepare for a hunt! read more

The lady working at the cashier today at 6:50 pm was a completely and utterly rude and crude. It was unnecessary for the way she spoke to me when I asked if I could return my fan without a receipt. That's fine I can't return without a receipt but for her to be so brash and brazen is uncalled for. It's as if she was having a bad day and needed to dump her bad attitude onto a customer that was just asking if it's possible to return it. I asked her to explain the rerun policy and she had no patience to do so. She called another worker over possibly the manger, he was little bit more insightful but I still felt like both of them had no reason to be so bossy about why I'm unable to return the item. To make clear I was not being saying what they were telling me was not ok, I was just looking for clarity about what the return policy was. When the cashier told me I can only get the amount that it rings up for, I asked her ok that's fine how much will that be. She said I have no idea... Just no! Prescription was called in around 6 am. Went to pick it up at 1pm and it wasn't filled yet. "Sorry we are just busy".

Pharmacy is the worst! Literally waited in line for 30 minutes to find out my medication wasn't yet ready so had to wait another 15 minutes.

They gave 60 elliquis pills instead of 120. And another time they gave 6.5 mil cardiverol instead of 12mg :( that's very dangerous for patients who are in these meds read more

Not only is this the worst conscience store, but they have the worst customer service. I went in to buy a pregnancy test and the woman, named Ellen, called me "stupid" and a "wh*re." I called the manager and he said he would deal with it, which obviously he didn't because I went there again today she was still there. So I get check out by her and my friend stood behind me and she told him that he is not allowed to stand there and that he had to stand 5 feet to the left (keep in mind, we are the only ones in the store). So he goes over there where she told him to stand and then one girl comes in and grabs whatever she needed real quick and got in line behind my friend while I'm still checking out. And then immediately, Ellen says to my friend, "Well you just lost your spot!" Even though he was standing right in front of her. I said to her at this point that we are together and that he should be allowed to check out after me. She rudely said, "Sure, sure, sure, sure, sure" while rolling her eyes continuously. My friend finally checked out and we went back to the car and I was completely fed up with the way that this woman has treated me the two times I have had an encounter with her. So, I went back in the store to tell her that I didn't appreciate the way I treated the past 2 times I encountered her. The store was closing at that moment and I had to leave. However, this woman is inappropriate and unprofessional. She should not still have a job there after calling me those names for needing to get a pregnancy test. As a well-educated nurse, I was completely dumbfounded by the fact that she could even call me those names simply for needing a pregnancy test. I will never go to this rite aid again because they obviously don't care about their customers since I have complained multiple times. And when I complained this most recent time, the superviser that was on duty at the time said to me with complete and utter attitude, "What do you want? What you want? Do you want money? Do you want free stuff? What are you trying to get from us?" And I said all I wanted was to tell Ellen that she will never speak to me that way again. read more
