This review is solely based on the pharmacy. They are notorious for not calling if they have a question on the prescription, so you show up expecting to be in & out cause you called the refill in & no such luck. They request your # when you call in the refill so I don't understand why they can't pick up the phone to call with a question. #Frustrating read more

Drove in from out of town and found this amazing Latin style restaurant! I love that they have an entire vegetarian section on their menu as I vegetarian and usually have a really hard time finding things to eat while traveling cross-country. The taste of the dishes were so flavorful and each bit was better than the next! My boyfriend shared the pickled onions and roasted tomatoes on his dish and it was super yummy and full of flavor. Will definitely come back here, if we're in the area again. Highly recommended! read more

I went here to buy some duct tape....As I was checking out a lady named Nadine was helping me out..she asked if I wanted a rite aid card. I said yes..she gave me a pen and I decided to fill it out at the cash register..she replied rudely "NOT ON MY DESK." I went somewhere else to fill it out and when I returned to bring back the form she says to me "THIS ISN'T COMPLETE." and throws it at me. Her customer service was HORRIBLE. Weird setup the store has. A lot of parking. -1 stars for the weird setup of the store and limited or misplaced items sometimes and with some to many of the Rite Aids including this location, there die-cast cars (that are usually next to the ice cream section) are broke (doors are missing, windows missing, wheels off, or lots of scratches) and looks like little kids play with them and break them and then put it back without buying it and are expensive. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Pharmacy you have to wait in line for 30mins on a normal day, even once being guaranteed that your prescription is ready. Horrendous service nasty employees and terribly understaffed. read more

Worst pharmacy I ever had to deal with. They are unwilling to help with dealing with the insurance company if there is any confusion over which plan pays for which medication, it seems like there's a problem most times when I try to get something filled, then it turns out to be something they could have quickly managed with a phone calls afterwards. Terrible pharmacy. Rude staff. often have to order and pick up another day. This is nearby so I keep going back and SWEAR each time I will change to a different pharmacy. It has never been a positive experience in many years. After they renovated, I thought maybe management and staffing would improve - nope, just as bad. Always long wait times, pharmacy and store. I went to this Pharmacy last week to get one RX filled. Second time for same meds. Right away they said they thought they didn't have the meds. They checked again and they did. They said it would take around 20 minutes to fill. They said one ingredients was slightly different so they had to call the dr. It actually was the same! They couldn't tell??? So I decided to wonder through the store, they call me up. This happened 4 times. It happened they did not have the full amount if my meds. So I paid and got what they had and finally left. I called them a few days later to see if they got the rest in; they said they would get them in that evening. So I called back. Yes they got them but now they tell me I am not allowed to get them. Different story from what they told me before. Now they say I didn't pay for the whole presprcription , only for what I got when I was there. Now it seems they are making it 2 different perscerprctions. and have to pay twice and pay maybe more. And now they won't let me get them for another couple weeks! Who are they to say when I can get them???? Its one friggen order ! read more

What happened to this store? They recently refurbished and moved EVERYTHING. No one can find anything in the store - not even the employees. In addition the inventory has been reduced terribly. I used to purchase Gen Soy Protein Powder regularly and now they can't even find the code they would need to restock it. Half the shelves are bare. The employees that work there are usually friendly and do their best most of the time. It must be very stressful to work there - every time I walk in the line is at least 8 -10 people deep. I'm often tempted to walk out but driving to another Rite Aide is timely and gas ain't cheap. Not sure why this Rite Aide just can't seem to quite get it together. It must be management. There is one slightly older lady that's been there for years and she is great. read more

Horrible pharmacy. Took 30 minutes to fill new prescription and then told me I'd have to wait another 45 minutes until sole pharmacist was back from lunch. Multiple other customers upset at all being dealt 45 minute wait. Other pharmacy employees just shrugged and tried to blame customers. read more

The pharmacists are borderline abusive to their patrons, snapping responses to their questions and inquires. I once over heard a pharmacist reprimand an employee in front of multiple customers. On numerous occasions I was told my prescription was ready only to arrive and discover it had not yet been filled. I would steer clear of this pharmacy! read more

I was sold a pair of wirless craig headphones brand new that did not work straight out the box. for 32 dollars. the very next day I tried to return it and they cashier gave me an attitude and told me to speak to there store manager since I did not have a receipt. each time I came back to speak to the manager at the time I was told to come she was in a meeting. I left my number once and never got a call back, I left my number again and got a call back and met the manager. I she said she would see what she can do and she would call me back. did not get it call back. I have been trying to get my money back for weeks. I spent a lot of money on this product that did not work and never got my money back. im tired of trying to get my money back so now im complaing here. it was not a pack of gum, it was not a couple of bucks. it was 32$ dollars that was taken from me. very unhappy. i dont think im ever getting that money back at this point. I worked hard for that cash. I dont give out money for free. edit: (I know people have life problems, I dont mind bad customer service, there people after all. what I'm mad about is they took 32 dollars from me. and I dont have anything in return.) its not there fault I did not take the recipt. but I personaly did not think the brand new pair of headphones would not work. This place varies from ok to terrible. It's badly run, poorly managed and the folks that work there seem variably trained. For prescriptions go to ocean park pharmacy or even to the Ralph's grocery on cloverfield. For other stuff Ralph's or Bobs Market or ocean park pharmacy. All those places have nicer staff who can at least answer your questions read more

Worst pharmacist ever - he was OLD, RUDE, CANTANKEROUS and an all around jerk - I took in my husbands rx after he broke some ribs in a motorcycle accident - he (my husband) was not present, and the pharmacist acted like I wanted to obtain 20 pain pills illegally, (while holding a prescription from saint johns hospital) whilst we have amazing insurance and own a house and are not at all interested in any kinds of drugs that are not prescribed by doctors - Riteaid should be ashamed at hiring senior pharmacists as a side job that do not give a crap about patients and all the while serving up shitty service by a totally unprofessional horrible low rent worker. Never go here in a pinch head out to the 24 hour rx at CVS in the Marina, better store service and pharmacist! read more

Terrible service; I asked a pharmacist a question about the active ingredients in an ointment and she told me that the sales associate would help me as she cut me off and picked up the phone calling for one of the associates. When she put down the phone she rolled her eyes at me and told me they would meet me in the isle. After waiting 5 minutes for the associate I asked her the question and she told me that's something your going to have to ask a pharmacist. But then the associate started recommended other things that she would try; but weren't even close to what I was looking for... ...I was told by a professional to use a specific ointment and someone who didn't grasp what I was looking for thought she could give half baked recommendations to cover up for a pharmacist (the person who is being paid to help with the types of questions that I had) who is either just too lazy to do her job or just a plain old b.... 2 stars because I am a Rite Aid preferred customer with 10% off all items, but let me explain what the heck is wrong with this store!! The last 2 times I've purchased items here, both times the ladies claimed my card would not go through, and I had bucks in my account, and mind you, it was 2 different credit cards! The first time I did not write a review because I believe in benefit of the doubt, somewhat.. But today I had dental surgery, and I am livid that the Asian lady working behind the counter in the pharmacy made me run my credit card 4 times, all the while humiliating me while my tooth had sutures in it, trying to heal. She had a smug very rude attitude, like I was to blame! :( The first time around Dec. 15th, Jackie the lady working in the front register ran my card 7 times, and then I had to call Wells Fargo and get them to see if my card had a hold on it, and they said, no Ms. it is good to go with a 1500 limit, yet she could not get it to go through! Then I had to use another card, and forgo my points, wow. The long line behind me before Christmas and having an obvious problem with my very good card was super unpleasant, just wow again. I'm not sure if the machines at this Rite Aid are crud, or if they just like to abuse folks, but tonight, I'm thinking it's the latter~ Be warned, this place has ladies who are not nice. This has to be the WORST pharmacy on the planet! I've been going here for a couple of years only because it is walking distance from my home, but after MULTIPLE visits waiting in line 20-30 minutes only to be told they cannot release my prescription because there isn't a pharmacist to go over the prescription (which I don't need). Why a pharmacist would go to lunch right before the other pharmacist leaves for the day is beyond me. I work full time and cannot pick up earlier in the day. I was there at 4:30. In addition, the young Caucasian pharmacist and older Persian pharmacist are extremely rude. They have such bad attitudes. It's been directed to me and others. It seems every time I go there is always an incident. I'm DONE taking my business there for prescriptions or otherwise. In short, their customer service lacks any care whatsoever. read more

My doctor was not in the office when my neck went out and I couldn't turn my head. He called in a prescription to this Rite Aid from home so that I could pick it up and get some relief. I am on file at this pharmacy and have filled prescriptions from this doctor there. I didn't hear from the pharmacy so called them, and it turned out they tried to call me but dialed the number wrong. Then it turned out that they wouldn't fill the prescription because when they called the doctor's office he wasn't there. So even though he called from home to order the medication, that didn't count and I had to wait until the next day for them to fill the prescription when he was in the office. I also ordered another medication that I take weekly and they informed me that they were out of stock. This continued for 2 weeks until I went to another Rite Aid in Long Beach and they filled it right away. Also, beware the line of people outside asking for spare change, especially at night. read more

This rating is mainly based on the people working there - they are always very friendly and you have the feeling you actually talk to human beings (not to robots as in so many American shops - you cannot even crack a joke most of the time but with the Rite Aid folks on Pico, you can) - they look you in the eye and think out of the box - when I'm standing last in line carrying a 12 pack of water, they always call me to the front to put it down and offer a hand to bring it to the car - I love these guys and go there on my way to the Trader - prices are prob. more expensive then somewhere else but "hello" - it's Santa Monica - they are my favorite pharmacy in the area - if some people complain that it is dirty it's not true either - the people there work hard and are very sweet. read more
