Getting clothes altered and repaired is preferable these days over buying new stuff. My wife and I have gone to Ritz for years, including things like hemming pants, alternating dresses and suit jackets, etc. the owner does a good job, works fast and seems to charge reasonable prices. The owner Yim is a super nice Vietnamese lady who seems to put attention into detail. I've seen customer get measured for new suits, I don't know what she charges but it seems like people have good experiences. A more tailored fit to my suit jackets have made them feel and look better. I've brought her cheaper jackets and nicer more expensive jackets and they all come out ok. read more

I'm not sure how this place has so many stars as they are Not true tailors. They only do minor alterations that you can get done at a dry cleaner. Something also smells off at this place, I'm not sure if it's old fabric and/or mildew. Thank goodness I found a real tailor that can make alterations on my son's prom suit. read more

I needed a wedding suit custom made and they were great! I'm recommending Ritz Tailor to everyone I know for the quality, care and attention to detail. He made me an incredible navy blue suit that would work well for a hot summer night with a lighter fabric. He answered all my questions and after measuring me, he drew on paper the suit he was going to build and it only took him ~2 months! Had a great experience with Ritz for my wedding outfit. I wanted a duster made (detachable skirt usually worn over pants) to wear over a jumpsuit I already owned, for our City Hall wedding. I was quoted over $700 for this at a wedding shop in S.F. Ritz was able to make this for me at a fraction of that price. My partner accidentally cut into a pair of pants I just bought while opening the package for me. Imagine the devastation and incredulity we both felt when we saw the holes!!! We asked around two places and decided to go with Ritz because of the price factor and the Yelp reviews! See attached for the picture of the holes and then the result! I truly think it couldn't have come out better than it did. They suggested I hem the length so that they can use the same fabric to mend the holes. They did a great job with both the mending and the hemming. I trust them completely and will be back for more tailoring needs. The storefront and the interiors are not fancy but please don't judge a book by its covers. Their hours are also reduced during the covid lock down so make sure you call in advance before dropping by. I think the days they are open right now are Tues, Thurs, and Sat from 11-3 but don't quote me! read more

The couple that owns Ritz are extremely kind and accommodating. I love the lady that has helped me, but can't remember her name.... I've had pants hemmed/ repaired, jumpsuits tailored to fit (after i butchered, thinking i was a seamstress!!), large vintage jackets tailored perfectly- all done within a few days turn-around time and affordably priced $20-$40. My only issue is the smell of moth balls- it's overwhelming! BUT, it's their shop and they gotta do what they can for pests! read more

This is the store that will make you look more aerodynamic. My go-to tailor for relatively basic things like hemming and tapering pant legs and jacket/shirt sleeves, and taking in waists/jackets. Luckily I haven't needed anything much more complicated than that. Turnaround is pretty good (usually within 3-4 days), the work itself is solid, and the price is reasonable. It'd be nice if the store had a standardized list of prices for basic alterations. read more

Came here to tailor my dress and jumpsuit - friendly service and fast too. Dropped it off the afternoon before and picked up the next morning. I hemmed my dress shorter and the lines were on point. My first time taking my New Year's Eve dresses to get altered here and since it is right around the corner from Dude's office, and he never mentioned it, I thought I would give it a try. Yim and Henry are very friendly and I felt comfortable in their store. Henry even makes suits to order! I was having a red gown shortened as it had a train and was too long for dancing. From start to finish, I tried on the dress, Yim measured it and asked me to come back in about a week. I came to pick it up today, tried it on and it's perfect! Positives: cost me $10 per dress shirt to taper it because each shirt was too big. Turnaround time was less than 7 business days. Result was great as well. Overall - impressive! Paid total of $20 in cash for the 2 shirts tapered. Negatives: nearby parking is fairly difficult for this area. read more

I needed a suit tailored and for a wedding. I saw on yelp that this was one of the highest rated and cheapest place to get it done. I went to another tailor the day before and they were offering $75 to shorten the jacket sleeves and hem the pants. They had me try it on and measured the suit around me. Here to shorten the jacket sleeves was $25 and to hem pants was $10. Total of $35. When I walked in she just asked what I wanted. I tried the suit on, but she didn't really have much opinion on what needed to be done. Just kept asking what I wanted even though I asked her if anything else needed to be done. she didn't measure everything. If I didn't go to the other tailor the day before I wouldn't have known what needed to be done. I told her I needed it in two weeks and she asked me which day. She told me it would be done by the next weekend (1.5weeks). when the weekend passed. I didn't get a call. so the week of the wedding I decided to just go in and see if my suit is done (still no call). Then when I got in she said she forgot to call m, luckily the suit was already done with its adjustments and fit great. The other groomsmen went to other places and they actually measured everything. Inseams, Outseams, and everything else. Here I guess you have to know what you wanted. But for the price it isn't bad. I would come here again for just pants hemming. Only thing I would say is probably check for adjustments instead of asking what the person wants. this was my first tailoring experience and I had no clue. I've been coming to Ritz for years to get my pants/jeans altered. I even got my wedding dress altered and taken in a few years ago. They've always done an amazing job with a relatively quick turnover (2-3 days -- but they always ask when you'd like to pick it up so let them know if you need it sooner). Prices are super reasonable. Call before you go so they know you're showing up -- sometimes they keep the door locked in the front if they're working in the back but if you give them a heads up, they'll be waiting for you. :) They're the best tailors in town! read more
