I stopped by Lucky Center Cleaners on Mountain Blvd. They are just to the right of the grocery store lot. You can take the stairs or follow the walkway on the other side to get to their entrance. This was my first time using them and I dropped off several items including 4 pairs of jeans and 3 shirts. They gave me a one week pickup date and everything was ready right on time. When I came back for my items, I was impressed. Everything was clean, neatly folded, and there were no strong or lingering scents. The quality felt consistent across all my pieces. I brought my linen tablecloth from Italy in to be cleaned. When I picked it up I first noticed that the cloth had not been pressed. I asked to view it and there were yellow stains all over the cloth from being wadded up instead hung to dry properly as needed for linen. The vendor that Lucky's outsources to just sent it back stained all over and Lucky's did not even notice it was not pressed and stained. read more

I brought my silk wedding dress here for cleaning. I had waited 3 years after my wedding to get the dress cleaned and it was super heavily stained with dirt/ mud, sweat, and probably fake tanner too. I had brought it to another cleaner first who told me they wouldn't take my dress because they weren't confident the stains would come out and I wouldn't be happy with it. Lucky said they were confident they could clean it but it might not be perfect - well, it was pretty perfect! I couldn't believe they were able to actually get it to the state it's in. I recently bought a suit from Barney's for a business trip in New York. I was in such a rush as I was cutting the label off the sleeve, and I accidentally cut a hole in the jacket. Rookie mistake! I thought I would end up donating this suit as I researched all over the Bay Area for a a good tailor who could possibly repair the hole in my expensive jacket. Unfortunately, the only thing they could offer was a patch. Honestly, a patch would be worse than wearing it with a hole... I had given up my search by then, but as I was dropping off my weekly dry cleaning, I thought I would at least ask if fixing the hole without a patch was possible. Lily said, "no problem!" Apparently they specialize in "reweaving," which is something I had never heard of before. A week after I dropped of my jacket, Lily called me to say that it was ready! Wow! When I came to pick it up I was shocked at what I saw -- no hole! As you can see in the photo, the hole is completely invisible! I don't know how they did it, but thanks again! read more

Illegally Charged my Credit Card I called this business to do in home measurements (5 minutes from her shop). Before she came I made sure to understand her pricing model based off fabric, lining, double lining, etc. Once she came to my house the price of her services more than doubled. Please note that the fabric didn't change, single lining or doubling lining didn't change either....what changed was her seeing my home. I was charged $100 for her to come and she let me know that the $100 would go towards the services once we decide. So we decided that we only wanted curtains upstairs in our main area which equated to $80. So when I dropped off and picked up my curtains, I stated that we are using this towards our credit. She said ok. She didn't ask for payment or anything. So about a day later I see a charge from her business for $80. I did not authorize this charge, nor did I give her a payment at the time of pickup, nor did I sign the receipt. So she consciously: 1. Went back to her account records 2. Copied my credit card information 3. Placed a transaction ILLEGALLY I will be following up with the BBB as well for her actions. read more

I love the ladies of Lucky Center Cleaners. Best customer service, so friendly and cheerful. They haven't made a mistake with my account or items in 6 years, but if it ever happens I totally trust this business to make it right. I've brought countless items here over the years: dresses, sweaters, blazers, scarves, coats, duvets. Lots and lots and lots of wool and silk. Items come back nice and neat and clean. There is never starch overspray or wrinkles. I've also brought items in for mending, tailoring, refashioning, and hemming. The quality of the work is very good and the turn around time is quick. Best of all I get good advice here, like the time I brought in some suede leggings and they said "they aren't dirty enough, cleaning costs a lot and it will cause the item to fade, can you wait a little longer?
