We had rolled tacos & a CA burrito. Both were enjoyable. The CA Burrito is comparable to Roberto's. The rolled tacos have a good amount a beef. They come with sour cream & lettuce. I prefer my rolled tacos without these ingredients so I've already returned & ordered them with just guacamole & cheese. The Rice is so good. Seasoned perfectly & fluffy. The employees are nice here & it's very clean. There are just a couple of tables here to dine in. I'd recommend & will return. read more

I'm here to give Rivas the respect it deserves everyone. Youre not coming here for a fine dining experience youre coming here for bomb Mexican food. As far as drive thru dining goes I gotta say the quality is on it! Big portions and they don't skimp out on the meat either! I got the al pastor fries which was packed full of really flavorful marinated pork, cheese, guac, sour cream and pico de gallo. I would order again but this time I wouldn't pig out so hard and force myself to finish them, this is definitely a large plate. Haddddd to smother each bite in some salsa. They have red and green which both are good, not the most amazing ever but still have some spice to it. I wish for the real hitters out there that they would do a habanero salsa but I personally like to sweat and clear my sinuses when I eat. Next we had a bean, cheese & rice burrito. Good ratio and flavor. Cant really go wrong here We finished with some hard shell shredded beef tacos. These are packed and crunchy. Everything you want. Meat is well seasoned and shell isn't overly greasy. Add salsa guys it's there for a reason and it's not a cover up it's an enhancer! I really encourage people to come here and order something good. I went to Reva's on Wimdmill Ln. for the $1.00 hard shells, chicken tacos. I purchased 4. While the service was polite, the order took longer than it should have, with only 2 people already served inside. ​ I came home and ate one. The taco shell was not crunchy, more of a tough shell. It hard marginal cheese and very little lettuce. Finally, the chicken was anemic at best. So close proximity to my CUZ while I'm visiting and was to see excited to finally try but sadly was super disappointed and underwhelmed!!! Crunchy taco.... Beef was abundant but also abundantly dry!!! The shell was inedible HARD, OLD and over fried? Taquitos....unfortunately the exact same!!! The absolutely worst experience I ever had at a restaurant. My wife had the chicken taco and within an hour she was complaining of stomach pain. I had the plain nachos that every other restaurant is chips with cheese. Not here, their nachos is a handful of plain chips. They had no jalapenos and their salsa was the worst ever. When they first opened portion sizes were very good but they're cut down significantly on portion sizes. It may seem like they lack customer service but I think it may be a cultural thing. I've been eyeing this place when it's late at night and I KNOW I shouldn't eat. I have been able to control and contain myself until one day for lunch my husband asked me what I wanted to eat. I told him let's try this place. So he went to pick up (we don't go to many places anymore due to this pandemic) and I ordered the Al Pastor Quesadilla. I'm pretty sure my husband ordered the burrito but I was too busy looking at my quesadilla. Overall, it was bit oily/greasy but still had good flavor. Rivas is my favorite drive-thru fast food style mexican food. This is not fancy sit down mexican food. It is similar to Robertos or Don Tor Taco but I feel these guys are WAY better. First off they have al pastor, which you don't commonly see at other fast food style mexican restaurants. It is cooked to perfection and is so delicious. I typically get the pastor nachos which are big enough for 2 (or 1 if you're hangry). I typically get extra cheese and sour cream and they do not skimp on it! Some places don't really give much extra when you ask, but these guys do! The food is always cooked right there after you order it and is always hot a delicious. Also, their bean and cheese quesadilla is a must try if you like bean and cheese burritos! So simple but so tasty! Rivas has been my favorite for a few years now. Being from SD we are spoiled with some really good taco shops and not very many can compare. My son had told me about Rivas' carne asada fries and he said it was pretty good but since then just never had a chance to try it until today. I always see their banners hanging when driving around town. We went to the Hualapai location and ordered through the drive thru. We ordered 2 carne asada fries, 1 order of beef rolled tacos (5) & a large horchata. Service was quick and the guy at the window was very nice. After handing our order we asked for more salsa (both red & green) and he gladly put some more in the bag. When we got home and opened the containers I was surprised with how much meat there was. It was very well flavored. The rolled tacos were good too. Both salsas were good especially the green but I think they could be spicier. I wish we had a location a little bit closer to home. I did knock off s star because of their app. I created an account and when I was ready to check out it had me log in which I did but it kept saying account blocked by admin. I think that could use some improvement as ordering ahead is more convenient but the drive thru experience was great. read more

Within the last two weeks a taco shop chain just opened up a new location down the road by a gas station which doesn't have the quality and service as Rivas Mexican Grill. Since this place opened I have gone at least twice a week because the quality of the food along with the service. I have tried a lot of items on the menu and I am impressed which keeps me coming back for more. Solid quick Mexican food. I couldn't think of anything wrong with my visit. We drove pass on a whim, heard it was opening soon. Saw the the open sign, and swerved right in (not even hungry) lol. Location/restaurant: Is far for me, but worked out as I was doing errands. Small lot, plenty of parking and drive thru available too. It's brand spanking new, very clean. Food: Hit the spot, spot. We had the carnitas fries and steak fries, all excellent. Crispy fries, heavy hand on cheese and meat. Crispy tacos, I tried both the chicken and beef. Both good but chicken was favored, it was juicy moist and tender. Service/would I come again?: Hell Yes. Service was bomb, I went inside and genuinely asked/cared if we needed anything and enjoyed our food. Super uncommon for a taco shop. Side note: I watched how the cashier was being super patient with someone not familiar with the food. What was inside a Cali burrito? This is a pretty good place. If you love burritos, and if you love tacos, this is a good place. I haven't had a bad burrito or bad taco here, so whichever you pick is just as good as the next. A lot of my family loves their Carne Asada, and I really like their chicken tacos. They also make excellent enchiladas. This place is very efficient with fast service and very cool service because everyone is always friendly and very helpful. The inside is very clean and it's pleasant. That's important because you can tell they take pride in their restaurant and the food they make. Great place to which I go back to repeatedly and highly recommended. read more

Due to Covid, we've only done the drive thru. This was our 2nd time and still as incredible (if not better than) the first time. The asada fries are super heavy! They weigh like 5-6 pounds! So impressed!!! The asada has some serious flavor. So much better than Roberto's cheap steak that is tough. Rivas' meats are great & they don't hide how much meat they give by trying to cover it with cheese or beans. They proudly serve their asada right on top! Bites of fresh onion, homemade pico and guacamole, and fresh jalapeños were even more impressive. It's only a little more than Roberto's but so much more food (seriously you could feed a small army) and so much better flavor. Thank you again for coming to our neighborhood. read more

So glad this place sent a mailer to my house. I'd been driving by for awhile and when I saw the mailer I decided to try it out. The drive thru is clutch! Ok let me calm down and explain the benefits and cons. so this place is open 24/7 and the prices are fair. I'm a pescatarian and it's nice to have some options. I got the shrimp fries and they were tasty. Shrimp was abundant and the fries cooked well. The flavors are not insanely amazing but it's a good solid choice for some decent tasting and fair priced convenient Mexican food. The drive thru is also great when you're getting off work and just don't have the energy to get out of your car. The staff is friendly and I'll definitely return. read more

Finally got a Rivas by us. I have heard good things about this place so tonight I decided to check it out. They have a coupon that allows you to get certain items for $5.99 with a drink. ::please note take the coupon with you or they will not honor the deal. Luckily the guy who helped me still gave me the deal:: I got the 2 cheese enchilada plate with horchata and my son a side of fries. (He already ate but loves his fries) The food was delicious. The sauce was great and not overly salty. The beans tasted fresh and not from a can. The rice was perfect texture and had a great balance of flavor. I asked for the salsa because I do like to pour it over my rice and beans. The red salsa and am amazing kick and flavor. The green sauce was the perfect flavor of salty and lemony flavor. The horchata tasted like it was made from scratch and not from a box. It wasn't chalky and not overly sweet. Definitely cannot wait tobgo back and try the carne asada fries!! read more

If you enjoy paying $4-5 extra dollars for Robertos or Don Tortaco then look no further folks! This place is everything you could hope and imagine. The food tastes exactly the same as any Roberto's or Don Tortaco I've ever been to with the added benefit of it costing more money! The food is not bad, it's not worth $30 for two people to eat there for dinner though! For $30 I can go to a great deal more places and get much better food, much better service, and a much nicer environment. Wasn't impressed and probably will not be returning as I do not enjoy breaking the bank for basic Mexican food. Helpful Tip: Both the red sauce AND green sauce are spicy! I'll start this off with I blame whoever's in charge of the finances, the lady working the counter was extremely sweet and god bless her. This was the only Rivas left in Vegas that I hadn't been to yet. I love the food and cheery customer service, as well as their dollar chicken tacos on Wednesdays. However this Rivas is either having a quality shortage or is under some awful leadership. If it was just the issue I had with the seemingly satirical size of the water cups they offer, I would've reluctantly let it pass. But then to make matters worse, it was a total mess, leftover food and sauce all over the tables, floor and trash cans; warm fountain water that I'm fairly certain had an unintentional addition swimming in it due to the very acidic taste, and best of all the food was prepared horribly. The hard shells of the tacos were all broken and soggy (they weren't sitting in the wrapping, I ate in the restaurant), the chicken was either overcooked (unlikely) or had been cooked forever ago and sitting for a long time until it was dried out. I can look past the occasional negligence of workers that I'm sure are underpaid for their hard work, however the laughable size of the water cups are a front line example that it's not the fault of the employees but definitely the result of piss-poor management, even the cashier was shocked when she found out the water cups that were being provided. Very surprising for a restaurant that's in a generally more expensive area of Vegas. I suppose that's what happens when an establishment is run by someone who doesn't know the business. This never happens in any of the other Rivas. I absolutely will not be returning to this specific location, and have sent these pictures to all of my friends that eat at this restaurant as well as posted about this on my social media. Very disappointing and borderline insulting; I highly recommend whoever is in charge of things at this location that they pull their head out from between their legs and get back in touch with reality. Before you think "water is free, stop complaining", I still gave the company my business; just because a product is free doesn't mean you should make your paying customers look like a bozo for requesting a provided service. read more
