I don't generally have tacos. Durango Taco Shop happened to appear when I was looking on my phone for something else. Reading the reviews, I decided this was where I'd go for dinner. Very accessible in a small strip mall, I parked and went in to order take out. I have never had birria tacos so this would be a first for me. I ordered their 3 taco queso birria to go. In a short time, my take out was ready. I was concerned that my drive home, only 4 miles, would cause the tacos to lose some of their crispiness. No need to worry. When I opened the package at home, the shells were very hot. I even had to wait a bit to eat this good food. With the tacos was a small container of consommé. I dipped the first one in the consommé and bit a piece off. Absolute heavenly flavor. I took my time eating the three tacos which is quite enough for dinner. The left over consommé made a good few sips when I was done with the tacos themselves. I am so glad I found this shop. I'll be back. I also saw there were some seats along the north wall and in the hallway. I won't need to get takeout. read more

They have buy one get one free tacos for taco Tuesday on DoorDash. Not bad if craving quick tacos. Tasted a lil dry and seasoning was mild. It's a good deal, and they filled the tacos up with filling, but I'd go elsewhere for tacos. read more

My husband and I have always been on the search for new mexican places and we wanted to try Durango Taco Shop because there are many branches and the reviews for this branch was pretty good. But we were kind of disappointed. I got pastor and lengua tacos, my husband got a carne asada burrito and taco dorados. The pastor was kind of stringy, felt like it was kind of braised. The lengua was the better option. I did like their creamy cilantro green salsa, it adds a nice creaminess to the taco, the other salsa were meh. Ordered takeout from here, because I saw a great deal and was craving tacos. Firstly, the food is delicious, paired with tomatillo and salsa sauces it was delicious, just needed a little hint of lime. Unfortunately through a 3rd party app, I only received 6 tacos instead of 12, when the deal was 2 x 6 tacos. All in all the food was good, but $6/ taco is absolutely insane. read more

Won some $ at Suncoast Station and we were craving some tacos on the way home. We stumbled upon the Durango Taco Shop #3 but it will be number one in our hearts. The Al pastor tacos were divine along with the crispy carnitas Gordita that we shared. Good portion and excellent meat to tortilla ratio. From Texas and know what good tacos are - so far these are up there with best authentic street style tacos I've ever had. Every meat choice was cooked just right, especially the birria tacos. Everything is solid. Their horchata, jamaica, and mango drinks are top of the top. Perfect every time I have been here. Worth coming to if you're out of town or local. read more

Salsa bar - the habanero & hot were our least favorite. The mild salsa, the guacamole salsa, the pickled jalapenos, the limes & the diced onions were nice additions. Salsa cups and plastic sandwich bags were provided. I got the potato taco (hard- this one was slightly bigger than the street taco size) and the chicken soft taco (street taco size) - both were so good, and the chips were yummy too. The flavor was delicious. Yes, the street size tacos are small, but it's filled with meat. The potato taco was the bomb. (I get them from other places too. Potato tacos are in my regular rotation.) Hubby had the birria taco (very good according to Hubby) and a chicken taco. The boy had a carnitas taco and a chicken taco (his fave meat is chicken). Everyone liked their tacos. Hubby's already planning his next order, which means he really liked it (a potato taco and chocken taco (hard shell). It's pretty big inside. Clean too. The counter clerk was nice. We love this place! We use to always go to Roberto's for something fast and easy but still tasty but we discovered this place and we love it here. I'll rather order a chicken burrito or the quesobirria tacos. The burritos is huge and the flavors are simple but good. I absolutely love their birria here! And you can't beat $12 for 3 quesobirria tacos! It was nicely flavored, the meat was nice and soft and the shell was nice and crispy!
