This company was highly recommended by a friend. I had a roof leak after the tropical storm, and needed help pronto. Felipe responded to my initial call almost immediately and was the first of several roofers I contacted to come to my house. He and his father were very nice and felt they could definitely do the repair. He said he would get an estimate to me shortly. Unfortunately, I could never get any kind of response from them after that initial meeting. I probably called, texted and emailed them at least 25-30 times over the course of five weeks, asking when I might get an estimate. Felipe never returned my calls at all, and their office assistant just had numerous excuses--ranging from not being able to find me paperwork, to telling me I would get the estimate soon. "We need a couple of days." "We will get it to you by the end of the week." "You'll have it tomorrow." If they are too busy or don't want the job, they could at least tell me that instead of just ghosting me. The weather predicted possible rain in the afternoon. They came in with enough crew to strip the roof, add a dormer vent, replace the flashing and roofing and haul everything away. After reading several positive reviews, I phoned them and spoke with Felipe Sr and later with Felipe Jr, and made an appointment for an inspection. They understood it was for a roof repair, and that it was a 2 story house. The appointment time came and went. I phoned 20 minutes later, left message asking if there was a delay, had no response. I phoned 1.5 hours later and again left a phone message and no response. No courtesy call. Now 2 days later I am baffled why they were unable to give me a courtesy call if they were unable to keep the appointment, and return my calls. I am assuming they decided they didn't want to bid on my job, and decided to ignore the appointment and phone messages. BAD BUSINESS BEHAVIOR If they didn't want to do this job based on what I told them, they should have declined to make the appointment, and also should have returned my phone calls. Long long story but suffice it to say their work on our new roof was OK but after waiting forever to have work done on a deck issue they were also going to address the work was unacceptable and we had to pay someone else to have it redone correctly. The Rivas roofing crew came out and replaced the roof of my home in Los Angeles, including removing 5 or more layers of old shingles and laying down new plywood and bringing everything up to code.
