So I sent my super rare burger back as it was totally uncooked and disgusting. Still in a good mood though. Bar tender sent back burger. So it comes out missing the onion rings. When I said something to the bartender the cook basically called me a lier and made me open the burger to prove that the onion rings weren't there. They were more than happy to let me say forget about it until I started to eat this burger and it was ruined. And so was my good attitude. 1st thing is cook the dam food to order then second dont call out your customers cause you suck at cooking. Unassuming exterior, dusty dirt parking lot full of olde skool rat bikes, full dressers and an occasional wing ding, outdoor seating, friendly good looking staff, awesome live music and a chill laid back vibe serving up blue moon for me, Tito's for the partner in crime, Jack and Patron for the rest of the crew. Stopped for lunch with my mom and husband. Never been there but a bar is a bar and so is the food right. I had the medium rare ribeye steak and it was delicious with the best garlic fries. My mom loved her cheese burger she was impressed with. My husband had the Ruben sandwich but didn't like the Cole slaw. I thought the service was ok. Prior to COVID the River Bottom was a great place for food and drinks. It was our regular weekend routine BUT since Covid, it's not so good. We ordered a three piece fish and chips today as we we always did , what we got was NOT the same. We ordered the 3 piece fish and chips (sweet potato fries, still pretty good) Delivered to our table were 2 small pieces of fish and one scrap. The pieces were super thin (grey fish) with thinner batter than before, also cold :( such a disappointment. It were really looking forward to their, once delicious fish and chips. UGH, yes they gave us a replacement piece for the third scrap but it was the same think grey scrawny fish. I'm not sure what changed, rumours were that the owner also owned a restaurant on the coast and fish was flown in ever few days, that's doesn't seem to be the case now. My husband, son , father in law and brother in law all went there last night. we sat outside (it took a good 15 minutes before any waiter came to acknowledge us or bring us our menus) it started getting dark pretty quick - they never turned the light on by us so we ate in the dark :( i ordered the dirty cowboy and was given something totally different!! (however i didn't want to send it back - because you never know at places) our ranch tasted like its been out quite a while..... and i was up all night with diarrhea (coincidence .. i think not ) we all agreed we will be eating elsewhere from here on out. read more

Could be better. The young lady server needs to learn the tap beer list by heart. She may be new. I just had wings and beer. Wings were good except the cook doused them in ice cold sauce. They weren't hot very long. The young lady was a little pushy when it came time to pay and she actually picked up my signed receipt while I was still sitting. I realize it may be the end of her shift but that's part of the deal when you take a table. I was a server and never took a signed check from a table while the customer was there without explaining I was leaving and that someone would help them if they needed anything else. Went in for breakfast (sat and sun only) and was served one of the worst plates of biscuits and gravy I have had, ever. It is reminiscent of they type of food you might find at a free hotel breakfast. Tasted like it had to have come in a bag, not amount of hot sauce could fix it. I added the 3$ eggs that tasted of cardboard. The waitress, seeing that I had not eaten the food asked if I wanted it boxed, I declined and she remarked that i must have been full... not one of them had the courage to ask if it was ok, they all know better. Went for breakfast recently. Food was ok. I ordered a Bloody Mary I thought was good but by the time I finished it...I suspected that it was made with Clamato and not tomato juice. When asked about the ingredients, it was confirmed. I am allergic to clams. This set off a series of events that were not pleasant. I am partially to blame, lesson learned. Took some friends to the River Bottom tonight in hope of a good meal and some live music. No band again. Thats three for three. Third time this season that the band was cancelled when we got there. I know the weather hasnt been great, but tonight it was pleasant and the place was pretty full. It's just so disappointing. The food was ok but portions are small. Man oh man I really wanted to like this place!!! We came here for a stop on a ride cause it had outdoor seating during the pandemic. We walked up and sat ourselves as told. Thr quickly took our drink orders which was a great sign. Then 15 minutes later one drink (alcohol) showed up, then 5 minutes later our other drinks showed up. 20 minutes just for drinks is a bad sign for sure. Let me tell you they where at about 40% capacity even with the social distancing. After that our server took our food orders. I was surprised that my salad and two of my friends appetizers came out pretty fast before the food. So that was a great plus on their end. Then shortly after that our food came. The prices of this place was crazy: $18 half rack of ribs, $8 for 6 wings no side, $13 for a basic burger and fires etc. So I was expecting good food. I will let you know what we got: ok burgers, fatty ribs, basic chicken, and chewy shrimp. We where all disappointed on the food. For 6 of us it came to $115. We all got water expect one soda and one bloody Mary. The price of the food and quality did not match at all. The service was decent and the food was ok, which gives them theb2 stars. read more

So a wildfire (no joke) forced us to turn around on Highway 77 and head back to Globe and then take Highway 79 back to Tucson after a day of boating on Roosevelt Lake. Using Yelp I found the River Bottom Grill in Florence and it was the perfect stop. It is a smaller place, more of a bar but also has a good menu with many options. I ordered the Atomic Burger with garlic fries. The burger was pretty good and was topped with cheese, bacon, jalapenos and siracha sauce. Overall it was pretty good and hit the spot. The garlic fries were great though! They were steak fries covered in chunks of garlic and some melted garlic butter...my breath still smells like garlic! The wife ordered the Cowboy Burger with regular steak fries and she said it was pretty good as well. For the size of the bar they had a decent selection of beers on tap. They had San Tan Devil's Ale, Blue Moon, 1755, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy and a bunch of the big brewery beers. A great little stop if you ever find yourself in Florence! read more

The place smells like piss. And the beer was about that warm. A simple burger and fries cost me my left arm and right leg. I guess it cost a lot of money to keep a place smelling like warm piss. Every damn snowbird from the area came in on their three-wheeled moto-scooter and it took 25 minutes to get that warm beer. All those tricycles out front made the place look like a geriatric gang owned the place. I guess that explains the piss smell. Anyways, not going back there again. I'll hit the Sonic down the street if I want a burger and fries. One star was being generous. Didn't have half a star. After having a great time riding around town, stopped here and had some brewskis and a snack or two. My sis, daughter, and I ordered some draft beers. They got Bud lights, and I got a Sierra Nevada something or other as they were out of Fat Tire on tap. Should have ordered bottles. The beer was not cold, and we all like our beers ice cold. Sis and daughter ordered burgers and fries, and I ordered an order of garlic fries (was worried about vampires in the area, lol). They said their burgers were ok, and the garlic fries were as promised- garlicky. Thank goodness Pixie had gum when we left. I ordered a margarita on the rocks, and I'd give it a 7/10 limes. Honestly, it was better than I expected. We are not locals and needed a place for a cold one or two. This place fits that bill. I do wish there would have been a juke box to play. read more

Saturday was a beautiful day for a Motorcycle Ride, I let me wife pick a fun new restaurant to try out in Florence, We pulled up to River Bottom Grill and saw other Motorcycles out front so I thought if other Bikers come here it must be great. It was indeed. We sat out on the back patio, nice breeze, the waitress we had was very attentive, brought out drinks and the food very quickly. The food was very good, My wife ordered the Steak Sandwich with Garlic Fries and I had a Bratwurst Sandwich with Onion Rings - Both were delicious!! Buyer Beware: The first time we ate at River Bottom Grill we ate inside. Food was just OK. The garlic fries hooked me in. They were nice and crispy, loaded with tons of garlic. They were great. Service was not the best but not the worst. Then, we decided to go again a few weeks later when we had company come in town for the holidays. I was raving to them how amazing the garlic fries are and I wanted them to enjoy some good food while they were visiting. Well, this was definitely NOT the case. I was so embarrassed. The food and service were absolutely awful! Let me begin the saga of this nightmare. It begins with us walking in and not a single person to greet us. We venture to the outdoor seating. The tables were filthy and not sure if or when they even wiped it down previously. One person in our party has a SEVERE wheat allergy and we explained this to the waitress. We asked about the menu items and she was EXTREMELY uninformed. This family member ordered a lettuce wrapped burger. I wish I took a picture to show. It was simply a burger placed on top of lettuce. Not wrapped. Very strange. This person became extremely ill during the night at the edge of passing out due to the pain and stomach issue that the food caused. Now, I'd think it was due to the wheat allergy, but I became very ill myself. Let me explain. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with garlic fries. I took a bite of my sandwich and immediately noticed that the coleslaw was off VERY OFF. It tasted like it was spoiled rotten. (Where's Gordan Ramsay when you need him? ) I had 2 other people at my table taste the coleslaw as well. They agreed it tasted bad. I took another bite thinking maybe it was going to be OK and it was just THAT bite. NOPE, it wasn't. I had to spit it out. I explained this to the waitress and she INSISTED it's the way coleslaw is. I eat coleslaw as a side at every restaurant if given the option. ALWAYS!! I have always enjoyed coleslaw as one of my favorite foods. So I know how coleslaw should taste. I've had several different kinds of recipes from vinegarette with raisins and even some with peanuts in it. All delicious! River Bottom Grill COLESLAW MADE ME SICK! Literally! I was up all night throwing up and "other" ways to expell this nastiness from my body. I won't go into more details as it's kind of disgusting. Mind you, I only had 2 bites. Imagine if u ate the whole entire thing! The waitress said she "Discounted" my meal. Yes, the meal I DIDN'T EAT. How much was the discount? I have no clue! They didn't give us a bill. The waitress gives you the total from her iPad and then you sign the amount. That's it. No receipt, no bill nothing! You just have to take they're word for it. Oh were the garlic fries this time you ask? Not good like the previous visit. They were soggy and greasy. Inedible just as my sandwich was. So if you decide to eat here, be prepared and down a bottle of Pepto Bismal before you eat. Trust me. You can thank me later. read more
