Four of us stopped in for lunch and really liked the place. Warm, welcoming atmosphere feels like you have been transported straight to a cozy pub in Ireland. The decor is fun and authentic, with great Irish vibes and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The food was particularly good, one of our party had the Bangers and Mash another had the Irish Ruben, I had the Irish BLT and spouse had a salad (diet time) everything seasoned well and cooked just right. Everything was fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. Whether you are a local or just passing through Florence, this place is a gem. We came in right in the middle of the Main Street car show shenanigans, and this place was absolutely packed, and somehow we still received the best treatment. You all handled the chaos like total pros. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the service was beyond what you'd expect on such a busy day, and the food completely blew me away. We ordered the smash burger with sautéed onions, a Reuben, chicken nuggets, and the cottage pie (which someone in line recommended and wow... they were right). Everything was made perfectly. The portions were very generous and the flavor was absolute perfection. I was so impressed. It honestly felt like a big warm hug in my stomach. The cottage pie was incredible, and this is coming from someone who has tried many shepherd's pies over the years and never found one I really loved. This one changed that. The smash burger was juicy and delicious, the nuggets were juicy and delicious (This coming from my nugget pro), but the moment I took a bite of the Reuben (one of my all time favorites) I almost regretted not ordering the corned beef and cabbage too. I went on a group ride in Florence with our side-by-side and decided to head into town to explore a bit. We ended up trying The Irish Cowboy -- and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We ordered the onion rings, which were fabulous, along with the corned beef and a burger. And wow -- the corned beef was hands down the best I've ever had. Hardly any fat and packed with flavor. I can't wait to go back. I also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Sabrina, and she is absolutely fabulous. We went with friends who live in Florence after a long drive from Phoenix. They had open band night, so the live music was entertaining! The service was friendly but our server was slightly new and it took some time to get the drinks we ordered. Our food was delicious, though. The Cottage Pie and Irish Stew were very tasty. What counts as a wild and crazy Saturday night for this old couple is usually a Netflix show for entertainment and a pop for a cold beverage. Well, tonight we decided to check out The Irish Cowboy bar and grill in Florence, AZ, to celebrate the impending St. Patrick's Day holiday. It was pretty "off the chain"--think old gentlemen and ladies drinking Irish cream-topped shots, a bagpiper playing live music and similar shenanigans!--being that it was probably the biggest night of the year for this place. it was a lot of fun and the food and drink were really good too! I had "bangers and mash" (sausages and mashed potatoes with brown gravy, also peas) and hubby had colcannon (a potato and cabbage concoction). We also had a couple Diet Cokes (see, we DID get in our pop!) and I had an emerald margarita, which was more blue than green probably owing to the blue curacao in it and a little more ice than I prefer and in a plastic cup not a margarita glass as shown on the menu, but hey it's an Irish place not a Mexican place! We thoroughly enjoyed the decorations on the walls--AND ceiling!--and the (faux) pay-phone booth! We'd definitely like to come back when it's a little less crazy busy. Day one - had the Dubliner burger and fries. It was probably one of the best burgers I have ever had - the simplicity of it (Irish cheese, burger, lettuce/tomato/onion/house garlic mayo) highlighted how delicious and perfect the patty prep was. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this unique Irish pub and I must say that our bartender Sarah truly elevated the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, her welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic evening. She took the time to tell us about the owners, the history of Florence and some about Ireland, while still engaging with the other guests. The regulars seem to like her a lot. First time dining at the Irish Cowboy in Historic Florence, Arizona. Thursday evening and place is busy. Was quickly greeted and opted to sit at the bar. Jody was both a server and bartender. Thoroughly impressed with the service and felt welcome. She called customers by their first name after setting up their tab. Had the Shepard's Pie served with mashed potatoes, peas and ground lamb. Have had this dish only a few times and was not disappointed. They also had a vegetarian version. Menu had a good variety of items. Food choices included Irish entree's, burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips, wings, salads, vegetarian choices and lots of bar drinks. Pleasant meal and hometown feel which is most welcome. The only bar/restaurant open on Main Street on a Sunday, they made a very good Irish Coffee. Our waitress seemed new and wasn't quite familiar with the menu or how to print a receipt. I think I didn't try this place sooner as my original thought when I heard of it went something along the lines of, "An Irish bar, in Florence?" But it is a true Irish bar/pub to be sure. The inside is dark and welcoming, with fun decor and friendly staff. I had the Bangers and Mash which was a tad bland for my taste but the wife had the Irish stew which was awesome! The Irish soda bread was something I have never tried before which was interesting but I definitely know what I'm getting next time. Their mixed drink menu is extensive and if I lived within staggering distance I would have worked my way from one side of the menu to the other. We came in Friday night. We had high hopes but we were disappointed. We got the fried pickles and fish and chips. Everything was super greasy. Holy cr@p! Were we in the same place as all the good reviewers? Walked in at 330 Saturday afternoon, expecting a really good meal and a beer. Stood there a couple of minutes, until a seated couple told us we seat ourselves. Did so, and then waited a few minutes before a waitress brought over menus and took drink order. She was not at all friendly. After 15 minutes, no drinks, we noticed that not one table had food! Our server may have been stressed out, maybe someone didn't show up, like the cook! NOT MY PROBLEM!
