One big dislike about the resort is the lack of trees. I registered for a lengthy stay and asked to be in one of the few spots that has a tree. I was told that those locations are only for overnighters and weekly stays. When I asked why there weren't any trees planted in the 'long-term' area, I was told it was because they required too much attention and clean up. I figure it is because the permanent residents in the park don't want them near their park homes. Also, both the park and Good Sam's website advertise WIFI. What neither site tells you is that WIFI is ONLY available in the activity room at Cotton Lane. Luckily, the Goodyear library is close so I have to drive there everyday to continue to work remotely. It wasn't really my plan; but it's cheaper than signing up with a service. The last park I was in offered FREE high-speed fiber optic WIFI. It was great!

Pool is often much cooler that recommended and area is not being Power washed regularly. Rules tend to apply to some And not others. There are clicks in the resort that if you do not belong in, you are talked about, rumored and shunned. Rent goes up every year at least 5% but no improvements , water from faucets can't be reliable for drinking due to dirty water. Pipes are ancient and break due to rust. Only one reliable maintenance person who is overwhelmed with fixing antiquated power and water.

We have wintered in our RV the last 5 years in Palm Desert at Emerald Desert RV Resort. But thought we needed to check other options and so many people head to AZ. Welp - AZ RV "resorts" are not our cup of tea. But we did drive through others and talked to locals to see if there were other options. All are attached to park model 55 and over communities. We do believe that Pueblo El Mirage is the best of the places to park an RV. The facilities are well taken care of. Property well maintained. People are friendly. Lots of organized activities. Bright fun lights at night. Sites are large. Sounds perfect? For us the lack of real grass, an over abundance of rock is not our personal preference. Maybe if we started here and not in Palm Desert this might have been our "norm". The location is not convenient to anything. A rather desolate location definitely doesn't help. Another knock - the golf course right next door is a poorly maintained muni at best. We played it once - won't play it again. And last but definitely not least - Luke Air Force Base is 4 miles away - you will be singing God Bless America about 40x a day. And don't worry people won't hear you. And ... you do get used to it. All that being said - it's the best the immediate area has to offer

My husband and I needed to test out some things in our RV and this resort is very close to where we…read moreactually store her so we decided to make a little bit of a vacation out of it and booked a week here in one of their short term, RV rental spots. As it's a short term spot, we did not have a picnic table, but we did notice on our walks that they appear to have some in other, lots, most likely for longer stays. We found the landscaping to be very well maintained! make sure to bring your longer cables and such as the pedestal is quite a distance from the back of the pad, however, they do have a rule that your RV must be at least 26 feet long (we are a tad longer), so hopefully your cord is long enough if you have one our size. Ours was long enough with no slack. Everything operated correctly and we really appreciated the fact they put us in a slot where we didn't have neighbors directly next to us so it was a nice quiet week. My favorite spot was the pool and my pictures simply do not do it justice because it was busy all the time with pool volleyball, water, aerobics, and such . The chairs are very comfortable and they were very attentive to ensuring everything was in order when people left. I posted the schedule for the week, but there are tons of things going on here! We did go over to the bar and grill at the golf course but it was a little awkward as you have to leave the park And then come back in, lol. It would've been a lot easier just walking over there. We didn't have time to try any of the food but we did have a glass of wine and a beer and the total was $10 so pricing is very reasonable and the bartender, Pepsi, was super friendly. They do have some type of bar and grill that they open when there are events in and around that area but nothing that was open on a regular basis It really is a large park and there are a lot of different mini communities. It seemed as it looks like they had a new section every so often. It looks like they were beginning new construction for yet another neighborhood. There are also a lot of areas to just relax and sit with a group around the fire pit or chat. We noticed there were folks sitting in circles with instruments having a jam session as well as people putting puzzles together, reading books, and just in general having fun. They seem to have a very strong social network We did order a propane refill and honestly, the guy was one of the nicest people we've ever had out for service! Super easy we called the day before and they swing through the neighborhood and fill at the appropriate time assigned There is some noise from nearby, Luke Air Force Base, so just be prepared for that All in all, we had a really nice experience, and would definitely return! Everyone was really friendly to us.

The staff was so helpful from my original call to make a reservation, to check in, package delivery, community center and even a late check out. It has everything one could want at an RV resort. Nice large pull through spots, pool, hot tub, games and activities in the community center. It's all brand new too !! Hopefully the future guests will help keep it clean and nice. We met a lot of nice people, ate delicious food while sitting button the expansive patio listening to a band called Sunset. The football games were playing on several big screens. Guest Service girl was nasty, we asked her a question and she was irritated every time we asked more questions. Her name was Santora. Don't go to her! We went in the office to file a complaint about the kids and was told if not to go in the pool then if we didn't want to be around kids. Facilities are kept clean and I have seen annual upgrades to the park that have been substantive and of benefit to all residents. The parks proximity to shopping in Surprise, Arrowhead and Glendale Entertainment districts with their Restaurants, Stadiums and recreation opportunities make it a ideal spot. Trips out of town ae made easier with its proximity to the 101, which connects to either I17 or I10 and Grand Avenue down the Street the it's time to head to Vegas for a weekend getaway , lol. All in all the management does it's best to address common issues in the park and some of their programs like the Tuesday night Food Trucks that visited the park all through the summer, monthly outings and breakfast are great. The park has a resident council that puts out a monthly newsletter and calendar so events are easy to participate in. The Park also offers a large Recreation Clubhouse with Library, Pool tables and big screen Tv's for Game Days. Secure Mailboxes and an on site office with free notary are a plus. The heated pool has been a wonderful benefit always clean and comfortable and music plays in the background 24/7. Friday night Bingo in the Clubhouse is open to the public and has become a fine event drawing a regular crowd. So in a complicated world I enjoy life here at Apollo village and feel confident recommending it to anyone looking for alternative housing in a ever more difficult world for seniors.

She called the former owner and chastised her for selling it to us and has since denied us of the opportunity to pay our lot rent. potential buyers for the trailer were ran off and not given the background paper when we tried to sell it since won't accept our payment. She's essentially trying to strong arm us out of our trailer by not allowing us to submit a payment or sell it. This has been a shit show situation. please do not subject yourself or your loved ones to this abuse. I cannot believe what we're going through.
