The River Park Hotel & Suites is so bad, it actually has the potential to develop some cult following. When you walk in, you're greeted with the cheesiest 1970's drug-trip-fuelled decor you've ever seen. And this includes the showpiece, which is a life-sized bronze statute that can only be described as "naked female buddha laying on her stomach and smoking a cigar". It is protected by mismatched rope cordons and glanced by large silver urns. In the lobby is also a large carved wooden fresco of eagles soaring. And if you don't believe me, I counter only with the notion that I can't make this stuff up. Internet access is through what feels like a dial-up connection and some crappy home-grade wireless router that gives a feeble signal in the afore-mentioned lobby. My room doesn't have a working phone. The first room I was given didn't have drapes, a working television, or a working HVAC system -- which I tried to deal with by propping the window open with the "Welcome to Miami" book. The room they moved me to corrected everything except the phone. The hotel "bar" only serves beer and wine, and their menu is a photocopied 8.5x11 sheet cut into quarters. The bartender actually recommended the food truck that parks in front of the hotel. He made a good point. Set next to the Hyatt and within walking distance of the fairly well-appointed InterContinental, it's easy to be lulled into a false sense of "how bad can this place really be?" But please listen carefully: it's that bad. In fact, it's worse if you get room 803. Hotels normally park the really nice customer's cars out front; a hotel within walking distance of here had a Bentley and a Lamborghini parked in front of it. By no - at the River Park, it was a Mitsubishi and a late 2000's Honda. One of the elevators works reluctantly; the other has been on the 10th floor since I arrived yesterday. So if nothing else, the inspiration to use the stairs may help burn some calories and make up for the apparent lack of a workout room. It seemed fitting that I fell asleep last night to Vietnam-era war movies on the warm, cancer-inducing glow of the cathode-ray television in my room. No name tag so couldn't get his name. Not friendly at all, acted put off. He walked off w/ my husband's credit card and passport. Maybe to copy for work file but it should be done where customer can watch his own credit card at all times. Ask him a question and he sharply points to this book or that picture - NOT the warm welcome you want clients and customers to have! Room is basic, 1-2 star max. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, cracked dresser, worn carpet, overpriced, no secure lock for nighttime. Breakfast ok. Welcome to Hotel Disappointment! :D If you don't mind non-existent WiFi, $25/night for valet only parking, toilets that "normally" don't flush, and not having those security door guards on your hotel door, this is the hotel for you! I'll give them ONE plus, location, but's pretty much it. After my family of 3 checked into our room, we quickly learned that toilet wouldn't flush... that is, if any one of you try to use it, within 20 mins of each other. It wasn't clogged, the toilet tank just takes forever to refill. While we alerted the front desk & waited a repairman, we managed to flush it 3rd world style: with buckets of water (ice bucket + tub water). The repairman came & said the toilet functionality was "normal," and refused to give us another room. Guess we'll just hold it in! Lastly, the fold out couch. Every place I've been to with a fold out, normally is already sheeted, or has extra sheets in the closet. Nope. Just a flat/old looking mattress & 1 fleece blanket in the closet. My husband and I just stayed 1 night before our cruise. We didn't want to spend too much since we had a full schedule of events ahead of us, but i would definitely not come back. Not recommend unless you are willing prepared for bottom dollar motel style service and room accommodations. In the room the carpets are old and dirty. Didn't want to take off my shoes. There were no basics like Kleenex, hand soap or comforter. The beds were so basic you could feel springs when you laid on them. There are NO hotel benefits. No restaurants or any additions - simply a lobby. There was complimentary breakfast with disposable plates, cups and silverware. You made your own waffles and there were sausages, canned fruit, toast, and assorted beverages as well as wear flake cereal. The pool in the photos online are also pretty dated. See photo attached. Nothing like what is advertised. The only plus sides were it was cheap ($120 per night), the bathrooms in the room were nice, and it's location is right next to the river. ----also we almost got stuck in the elevator. On our way back down it was broken and we had to carry our luggage down 15 stories in a dark concrete stairway. ----and upon check in the attendant asked for my credit card I used to pay the reservation with. Unfortunately it was stolen from me around Christmas so I didn't have it. They told me they had to "refund" the stolen card that had since been deactivated and charge my new card?!? Location, location, location I'm convinced the only way this place stays open (and justifies the price point) is it's location. Other than that we were not impressed at all. Lobby: In the bathroom in the lobby you get a great snapshot of the post because of the lazy painting over the old 70s wallpaper. You also need to grab the wifi code while in the lobby, if you forget, don't worry because it doesn't work anyway. The Room: The beds didn't match the room, clearly it was designed for one queen but they tossed in 2 doubles to justify taking out the sofa couch that used to be there. The TV was from another decade and what channels did come in were Spanish and had horrible reception. There is also a fun game you can play that I'm now calling Miami Phone Roulette: where you plug your phone in for the night and gamble whether it charged or does the plug no longer work. The Bathroom: The shower had two temperatures, lukewarm and cold. Also the hairdryer heated up nicely, although no air actually came out. "Exercise Room": Great place for parties, 3 tables and about a dozen chairs with a beautiful view of the roof. Overall it's like a 16 story Motel 6 in downtown Miami, good for an overnight before a cruise and not much else. P.S. At least their were 4 waffle machines at breakfast so you didn't have to wait, as much... P.S.S. Besides the moldy, musty , muggy odor in this place, the 2-Star is extremely generous. To d insult to injury, the entrance to the hotel is super crowded, but the overall feel of this location is ancient and mid evil. There was a old stench that permeated through the elevator and the rooms were nothing different. Aside from the miniature box size rooms with the matching jail-like bathrooms, it was dirty and unclean. We found a soda bottle and an empty chip bag behind the night stand. The handle on the shower faucet was so rusted I had to yank it for the water to run. Also, the walls and carpets were stained. Luckily we were only here for one night. Other than the close proximity to the Miami port being part, I will never visit this place again. Don't waste your money here. We booked this place using Priceline's "Name Your Price" feature, which I don't recommend any more than I would recommend this hotel!! They don't tell you where you will be staying until after you book it. Once we found out where we were staying, I looked for reviews. Once I saw that all the photos and reviews were terrible on here, I tried to cancel through Priceline. They wouldn't allow it because they "stand by their reviews" that most of their customers enjoyed this hotel. That was the first and last time I will use the "Name Your Price" feature. Since this review is for the hotel, not Priceline, I'll leave it at that. The girl working the front desk was very friendly and had great customer service skills. Thankfully, check-in was easy and fairly quick because the furnishings in the lobby were drab, old, and seemed dirty. I didn't sit down or get close enough to find out just how dirty. The decor wasn't any better. The room itself was just terrible. It had a strange entry area with a tiny, old box TV, a desk, and a chair. There was a "wet bar" area with a rusted old stainless steel sink in it. Through this area and another door.. into the bedroom where the decor, carpeting, and furniture were very old, mismatched, and dusty. The bathroom was very dated but clean. Once I peeled back the very very old and ugly duvet, I found that the sheets were stiff but clean. The TV was an old box TV that made an awesome ringing noise when it was on. We walked around in flip flops. The traffic 5 stories below could be heard very clearly through the filthy windows. The people in the neighboring rooms could be heard as well. Since we arrived around 10pm and we would only be there one night, we decided to stick it out. There's a vending machine for snacks and pop, but that's it. My husband ventured out to the nearest place we could find for some groceries, which was a 24 hour CVS - nothing else in the area was open. He made me stay behind because the area we were in was swarming with homeless people and he was afraid for my safety. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. read more

I booked a room here last week to stay overnight before going on a cruise out of Miami. I'll give the pros first. The location was great. It's in the downtown area and you can easily get around via Uber for dining and shopping. This hotel also offers a $6 per person shuttle to the cruise port. My standard room was a decent bargain with a price tag just under $100 with my Sam's Club discount. Now for those cons... My room was extremely outdated. My third room floor room had a horrible view, looking out onto the hotel's AC unit. The sprinklers were covered in dust, the walls and doors were dirty and needed a paint job, and the bed was very low and extremely uncomfortable. The carpet also had stains and cigarette burns. Mind you, this was a non-smoking room. There's no way I could have stayed in the room for more than one night. I have some relatives who stayed here during this same visit and had a room on the 14th floor. Since they had two standard beds, the room was much more spacious. Their room was a little bit cleaner. They had a beautiful view but also had the same uncomfortable beds and carpet stains. In addition, their room had a big, back TV. At least I had a flat screen. If you are considering getting a room, be sure request one with double standard beds and a higher floor. Just be prepared to deal with a not so comfy bed. I won't be returning. I am only giving this hotel two stars because of the location. read more

If you're accustomed to 3-star hotels, stay away from this place. There are certainly worse hotels but it's pretty rough here. Pay the extra money to find a hotel that's more hospitable. Parking? Valet only for $25 a night (too expensive for a place like this) - slow service. Room? Outdated but tolerable. Our remote control didn't work so naturally we checked the batteries, they looked like they had been chewed up by a dog so we called to have some replacements sent up. Guy arrived shortly after with a duct taped shoe box full of remotes and said he had to "re-configure" the remote to the tv... Ok? Weird but it resulted in a working remote + tv. Bathroom? Terrible layout, terrible lighting. Had to request more towels because we were only provided with 2 bath towels. They say they provide toiletries but what we actually received was 1 bottle of shampoo and 1 bar of body soap. Bring your own everything. Bed? Like sleeping on springs. 2 single couch pillow-sized pillows. Hallways had "The Shining" feel so if you're into that, that was kind of exciting. Continental breakfast? Real bad. Real powdery eggs. So far it's not good. Took a while to check in. The kid at front desk was all by himself with a long line of guests waiting to be attended and a phone that kept ringing every few minutes. Our room was large and clean but, had no WiFi and no towels. Went downstairs for breakfast and it was horrible. My in-laws also stayed with us (in a separate room) and had no running water. Run down is compounded by poor maintenance performance. Repairs not made up to snuff unless you're from a third world country. It's taking its toll on a perfectly placed hotel that was once quite nice. Stayed for business at the exhibition hall next door 3 Nights. Love being next to James Night Center and Metro Mover so I needed no vehicle during my stay. Breakfast had 4 different waffle iron stations so they did good there (put a table spoon of syrup in your batter and mix that in before you cook it). BED BUGS & HAIR DRYER WENT INTO FLAMES!!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! I stayed here last week and I regret even considering this as an option. Booking last minute and it being the cheapest hotel in the Miami area, I took a chance and went with it. First thing, the $25 valet parking you must pay. Upon entering, you notice the outdated, run down hotel environment. It almost looked as they haven't remodeled in over 50 years. Aside from that, we had a large room on the 8th floor with a nice view of Downtown Miami. But, then upon entering the room, I noticed a leftover toothbrush, the phone was half broken, the TV did not work (ended up calling the technician), and the room did not seem clean. I did not mind at first since i knew what I was paying for. The bed bugs. I woke up the next day with a couple red bug bites, super itchy. Ridiculous. Bed bugs in a hotel in Miami?! I was furious at this moment. Next, the hair dryer. I went to go turn it on and in seconds I started to smell it burning and smoke coming out of it as it went on fire. I quickly made sure the hair dryer was put out, went downstairs and checked out. I told the front desk receptionist what had happened and he simply said "oh okay". What kind of establishment is this?! This hotel lacks basic cleaning skills, a responsive staff and needs to be checked on by the local health inspector. $200 for a double bed room. They did give us a top floor room with a great view. Only real complaint is that the Wi-Fi doesn't work. They need an IT guy or something! It would accept the password but would not really connect and dish out an IP address. Somebody in the office needs to restart the equipment but nobody ever did. There's just no excuse for that in this day and age! No microwave. 1 wall was a little beat up and dirty. Windows a little dirty, but over all it was decent. Bathroom is huge and really nice. I stayed here with my wife and 4 kids in mid June for few nights while on a 3,500 miles road trip. The hotel itself was ok, just a little dated. However the valet service offered by the hotel is terrible, I paid $25 a day for them to park in a unsecured lot right under a highway over pass. The morning I went to check out, I walked outside to let the valet know I was going to be leaving in the next 20 minutes. He responded " Oh my friend, the guy that worked last night was waiting for you to come down. Someone broke into your car last night. He made a police report for you and we pulled your car to the side by the hotel." Someone had broken my back passenger window, they was shattered glass all over my back seat when my kids sit. The valet had my room number and the hotel he my cell number, I didn't leave my room all night. But somehow I was never contacted about the damage done to my car. I ask the valet if they had something I could use to clean the glass out of my car. The valet said they did not have anything and I should ask the hotel. I got the same story from the young man at the front desk, so I proceeded to ask for a manager. Who looked me Dead in the face and told me no. I had to ask him to get in contact with the general manager before anyone would even give me a plastic bag... The general manager arrived shortly after the phone call. The general manager was very nice and understanding to the situation and proceeded to have two hotel maintenance employees vacuum out my car and clean the blood from the side of my door. He said to me that this was becoming a problem in that lot and that the city police needs to do something about it. He also mentioned that my car was the 3rd car broken into in the past month and that the last car was also from out of state. There was no offer to replace or repair the damage. No ones wants to except responsibility for the damages. Luckily my insurance covered everything except for a $100 deductible and a rental car for two days totaling $65... I'm not even asking for $200 or anything extra for wasting my time, only what I'm out of pocket. It's unbelievable, the hotels response was to have my lawyer contact there lawyer. The staff is not very professional but ok. It includes breakfast but didn't make it on time so not sure how good it is. All the microwaves are located in the lobby... all of them.. no one knows why...lol. If you want a refrigerator you have to have one delivered to your room at $5 a day. What room doesn't have the basics lol. I can't make this up. The beds have no cushion and the pillows are for puppies... I'm not comfortable at all. One of two rooms has an old ass tv with like 5 channels. Luckily I'm a fan of Forensic Files lol. The other room is just a room. With a sink and table combo. Under is where the refrigerator was "installed". The bathroom is generic. Clean but generic. Shower sink combo. Sink with like 3 complimentary toiletries. Few towels and cloths. I. Can't. Even. Literally died. Let me start out by saying I had no idea what I was thinking. Okay, I know what I was thinking. I was thinking I needed to fly into Miami a day early for a work conference and I was kinda broke and wanted to save money. You could not have PAID me to stay at the River Park Hotel. I booked on Hotels.com and the reviews were 3 stars. Okay, I can cope with that for one night. How bad could it be, I thought? I'm a former backpacker who stayed at places in Cambodia and India for less than 2 dollars a day. It could be bad. Real bad. Runner up to the worst place I have ever considered staying in, second place to my stint in a 1.50 cent hotel, a la Off the Rails in Phenom Phen, where my then-boyfriend was given a "mushroom pizza" with some unconventional mushrooms, had an accidental psychedelic trip, our room had no window, and it was about 100 degrees with unidentified sludge on the floor of our room. I walk in and was immediately accosted by what could only be a pimp and his hoe. They asked where I was from and then immediately proceeded to proposition me for a threesome. Thanks, but no thanks. I check in. The reception guy could not have given less of a f-ck that I was there. Was there anywhere to get food? I could order from a pizza place that was located somewhere in the hotel and they could bring it up. No alcohol. NIGHTMARE. Anywhere to buy alcohol? Three blocks away. "Is it safe to walk?" I ask. "No, not really," he replied. So, I go up to my room. It was just one night, right? The room was absolutely filthy. Smelled like smoke and dirt and I'm pretty sure there had been drug cartel killings in this room at some point. Probably multiple killings. The bed (stained and smelly). The pillow (foam that had clearly been retrieved from the dumpster at a homeless shelter). The (brown dingy) sheets. Lord have mercy. I sat down and ordered a pizza. That of course would never be delivered. I contemplated wiping down the bathroom floor, asking for some clean sheets, and making a little bed there, chomping down some benzodiazipans and going to sleep. Then I realized the room smelled so disgusting that I would probably smell like it for the rest of the week. Like an old bowling alley from 1985 where people chain smoke and before they invented bleach. I went downstairs to inquire about a possible room change. THEY WERE SOLD OUT! NO OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE. Baffled, I informed the receptionist about the state of my room, and he looked at me in disbelief as if he had never heard such a thing. I couldn't get a refund because I booked on line but I had to get the hell out of there. I booked a new place on my hotels tonight app and was on my way. I booked this hotel kind of last min and while I was driving from Orlando. Lets just say this was my first time not reading the reviews first. This locations is within walking distance from the knight center and miami convention center. Getting to this location can be very tricky if you are driving since the entrance is very small. This hotel is probably the cheapest room you can get around 75-100 book price in downtown Miami at all times. Its concerted a 3 star hotels in some sites I would give it a 1.5 star. Parking is valet only and its 25 dollars a day. The parking attendant wanted me to park my 2013 mustang on the road where there was incoming traffic( hell no!!). Then I was told You have to pay the attend in advance and leave to keys in the car that I did not agree with at all. That is a huge red flag right there.Like I want my car stolen!! I made the attendant park my car in the lot with me that is in a near by office parking deck before I paid. Check in was slow . I mean slow. They had one check in agent who seem to make small talk with a another guest for 15 mins. There was already a long line. The agent stopped his conversation when his boss poked around. I had to return back to thr counter 3 times. 1st . Wireless key fob will not open the door, 2nd and 3rd .Room was not clean Lets just say the second time , I was not very happy I was like fuck it I want a refund.The last room was fine, The whole hotel in general is very dated, Like it was never remodeled ever. This place is ratty and run-down just like the other reviewer mentioned - the public spaces are not bad but your room will be worse. I would complain about the staff except after a long weekend in Miami, I realized that service is to suck. I thought people in warmer climates would be happier, but nope. So compared to the standard of service I got across the board in Miami - this place gives you exactly your money's worth. When we checked in during the late morning, nobody was at the front desk. Then a woman arrived and still staring at her computer screen, she made a face, made a noise and said, 'Do you have a NAME?' HA HA HA. Our room was missing a remote for the TV and half the lamps didnt work. There were cigarette burn marks around the room. Parking is expensive. There is little hotel security as multiples of take-out menus find their way underneath your hotel door. However, for the price the size of the suite and the location were very good. The bathroom was also a good size for the room. Even with the 2 stars, I would rather take my chances here again (with a large group) then chance it at another more expensive hotel. PS When hashing over this hotel experience again with friends we agreed that it was the most disgusting - D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G hotel room we have ever stayed at. I came into Miami a day earlier than the rest of my friends, so I needed a last minute place to stay. Checked Kayak for the cheapest hotel, and it was this one. So I booked it. Fast forward to when I get to the hotel, ready to check in. The front desk staff, which looked like some random people they invited to work there that day, were running around like chickens with their heads cut off! She didn't know what Kayak was, or that I had a reservation until I told her to check her fax machine. Then she gave me a room, which I go to. The room didn't exist!! I had to get her to show me, so when we went up there she opens the door for me, and there we see a naked Mexican man passed out on the bed with weed strewn all over the table. Yep, looks like she gave me an occupied room. Then she gives me another room, which was not taken this time, but it sure was gross. Trash behind every corner. Worst of all, the room reeked of pesticides. Looks like they have a bug problem? I didn't let my feet touch the carpet, and was afraid of what nasty was in the bed. The hotel itself was fine. I was pleased to find that the smoking room I had to get because that was all that was available online did not smell like smoke! The decor of the room was a little dated, as was the lobby, but that is not the focus of my review... VALET. TERRIBLE. IN EVERY WAY. I was a little disappointed to find that the only reasonable solution for parking was their valet service. $20 a night, not so bad I guess, if you consider other garages around. My first morning at the hotel I was leaving around 10:30, apparently prime checkout time for everyone else as well. The valet attendants (only 2 on staff at the time) were overwhelmed, it took 30 minutes for them to get my car, and only after I complained and told them I had an appointment I was becoming late for. That was bad, but not the worst. The other times I waited between 15-20 minutes for my car, 10 minutes on a good day. The day I left was the worst of all. Knowing how long it has taken them to get my car in the past, I checked out even earlier than I needed to, but even that wasn't enough, I almost missed my flight! I tried giving the valet my ticket, he didn't speak English very well, if at all. I gave the attendant my ticket, he kept saying "un momento" and then ran off. I noticed something wasn't right when people who gave their tickets after me had gotten their car before me. I stopped him and asked him when he was planning on getting my car. He then motioned me to follow him to the valet office, then asked me if I could find my keys! I was astonished, I was supposed to find my own car keys in this mess of an office? It wasn't hanging on the wall where it should have been, you know where I eventually found my keys? JAMMED IN THE PRINTER. I can't make this shit up! As cheap as this place was, never again. This is the most cut-rate hotel I have ever stayed in, and I've visited some cheap hotels. If I could give this place negative five stars I would! All of the awful things other reviewers said are true, and so much more... When we checked in they gave us 2 keys (for 5 guests in our suite) but only one worked. When we approached them with the problem the front desk said they could only have one key active at a time, if they activated a new one, the old one would deactivate. Seriously? The maids knocked on our door twice between 8-9 the first morning, then didn't come back that day, nor the next day. Not surprisingly we ran out of all essentials... But the front desk staff was too busy to answer the phone to address our needs. We had to come down to the front desk and wait 30 minutes for toilet paper! You can't walk into or out of your room without tripping on a pizza take-out menu. We were even accosted by someone in the lobby passing them out. When we decided to call some of the pizza places to actually order pizza, two places didn't answer, and the third place didn't deliver the pizza we ordered. Checkout was also a nightmare. There were some major communication difficulties, it helped having a friend who spoke Spanish, otherwise we would have been out of luck. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. . It's dirty . It hasn't been updated since the 70s . Bad service . Broken ice machine . Graffiti on the walls in hallways . Blood, feces, or some type of mysterious brown stains on curtains . Door knobs, and doors filthy . Water or some kind of stains on the lamp shades . Chipped dressers . Holes in the walls . I'm surprised to see so many bad reviews for this hotel here on Yelp. My experience was not like the other reviewers on here. I stayed at the River Park Hotel for 3 nights and had a blast in Miami. The best things about the hotel are: 1. The Location: It's in Downtown Miami right next to EVERYTHING. Two Metromover station, the River (so you can do the riverwalk), walking distance from the Bayside park and close to public transport that will take you to South Beach or anywhere else you want to go. 2. The Bar Staff: The Hotel Bar has food and drinks (not too expensive) and the bartenders are very friendly. And they have yummy cheesecake! 3. The Views: Particularly if you're on a higher floor, the views are pretty awesome. I was on the 15th floor and had a great view. 4. The Price: It's a cheap hotel, and I felt like I got more value for money here because it wasn't just a small motel. If you add in the views, the location and the convenience of having $4 beers delivered to your room, it's worth it. The con's of this hotel: 1. Wifi: There is no wi-fi in the rooms. This was really irritating. Every time you want internet you have to go down to the lobby. 2. The Beds: The beds were not the most comfortable. I woke up the first morning with a back ache. But that was only the first night. The other two nights I was fine so maybe it wasn't the beds, maybe it was just me. I would definitely stay here again. read more

only good thing: Location in Downtown. Wifi: Terrible. Was on the 11th floor---nothing. No wifi connection. Room: Was ok. TV-audio worked but nothing on the screen. Shower head literally came off when I was trying to adjust gently the direction of the shower flow. Customer Service: Horrible. Had to wait a lot just to check in because some novice was still learning how to check people in and kept making the same mistakes over and over again. Will not be staying here EVER. Centrally located. Huge rooms but bare - no microwave or refrigerator or working phone. Price are similar to newer hotels in the area. Iffy surroundings. There was really no formal left luggage area. No tickets here. You just leave your luggage in a secured room with other suitcases. Some of the front desk staff were not very helpful. No city maps. Flushing the toilet was very slow. I did not eat their breakfast as it felt that the food items all came from a can, box, or plastic container. I only booked this hotel because this hotel was on the hop-on, hop-off line. read more

AVOID!!! Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else! I am currently staying here until Monday November 21 and I am taken aback by the state of the room I was given. I stayed at your hotel a year ago and I was very satisfied with it, the room was clean and well kept, which is why I decided to book it again. Unfortunately, this time I was put in a very dilapidated room, the walls and decor are damaged, the curtains are filthy with cigarette holes and stains that look like blood, the smoke detector is missing, the shower won't stop dripping, and the light switch plate in the bathroom is coming off which I am sure it might be a fire hazard considering that the steam of the shower gets into the exposed connections. Not only that, but my room is equipped with a tube TV with no cable channels, while a colleague's room, who booked this hotel based on my referral, has a flat screen TV with premium channels, his room is what I was expecting from your establishment. My room looks nothing like it is currently being advertised. I have gone to the front desk twice to be put in a different room and I was told there were no other rooms available which I highly doubt it as they didn't even check the computer and according to several booking sites, there are still rooms available. I am extremely unhappy about this. I'm never booking this hotel again. read more

River Park.... you were fun, but never again. Even if the room were completely spotless it would still look dirty. We took off the pictures from the wall to find them completely tagged up by wannabe gangster kids. The toilet had a hard time flushing piss and it smelled like old Bananas. If it wasn't for me having so much fun in Miami this place would get 1 star. It was a hassle to get towels to the room, we didnt' have enough blankets. Even with all that we had an AMAZING time in Miami, I think it could have been better with different accommodations. The worst part is, as bad as this place was... it still cost us $1700 read more

Rooms and furnishings are really old. Bed sheets so old they had holes worn in them. Beds are very uncomfortable with bed springs poking into you. Valet is $20 per day. TV at least 20 years old. Service was okay. Cool views from the right rooms. Would not repeat visit. read more

Okay you like paying for an over priced motel this is your spot! Let me start off with the Pros PROS Great location ! You're on the water for the boats as you can see past them by! 15 min car ride to the beach. If you're a walker like myself their is a lot to explore in north Miami did 16,000.00 steps in one day lots of fun and shopping near by! Vending machine downstairs was a life saver they have cold drinks and snacks! The breakfast was very blah but the waffle maker & coffee was enough to keep me happy. No eggs btw -.- CONS Every single person who works there is miserable they literally hate there jobs and there lives more the older women and younger lady. The manager is rude the girl who check us in has the worse attitude I have encountered in my entire life. She does not say hi or smile or anything she looks like a zombie that hates her life. We checked in Thursday and could not wait to check out! The bed was literally falling apart the lady at the front desk was not helpful about it I left the hotel with back problems. I think if they did updates , bed updates , cleaned up the hotel it would bring a lot of business especially with the new things opening near by. I believe this hotel aka motel will run itself in the ground the only reason it stays a float is location. Please train your employees on customer service and update your beds at lease. Avoid this hotel and spend an extra 20$ to go somewhere better. Where to begin... First this hotel has no parking for its guests. So you have no choice but to pay $25 for the valet because apparently they think they're the Marrot next door. Second, beds are extremely uncomfortable. And third, I felt like Jennifer Lawrence in the Hunger Games at breakfast, battling hordes of non English speaking guests for the last bits of microwave eggs and instant coffee because they don't restock their terrible breakfast. read more
