There are plenty of shopping options to choose from, and I appreciate the value and selection available throughout the mall. One thing I tend to avoid is purchasing from the kiosk vendors. They can be very persistent when trying to make a sale. During one visit, a vendor referred to me as "Mexican." While I wasn't personally offended, I would prefer to be addressed more professionally, such as "ma'am" or simply as a customer. The service at Victoria's Secret is always excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they consistently have a great selection of clothing and perfumes that I enjoy. Overall, it's a nice mall with a good variety of stores and shopping opportunities.

They have one of the widest selections of colorful vintage glass including Blenko and Empoli decanters. Prices are incredibly fair and the staff are wonderful. They're currently doing some re-arranging in the shop and have opened an attic full of vintage clothing. There are also sections dedicated to books, records and toys. I could spend hours in here going through each section and it's a good thing I live far away or I'd be too tempted to keep adding to my glass collection. This is such a cool find in Modesto and super fun! Check them out and support local-you will be surprised and delighted by all the amazing vintage finds.

We were in Modesto and found this place through Yelp, and what a gem! Located off Orangeburg sitting on the corner of a strip mall, The Birdsnest is a hub of all things antique, vintage, ancient, OLD stuff for sale by different people. It's like a swap meet except the people aren't manning their sections because The Birdsnest handles it all. We came about 30 minutes before closing the first time, and didn't (couldn't) finish browsing. So we made a plan to revisit earlier so we could spend as much time looking at every knick and every knack displayed. We ended up walking away from a set of cups, and returned an hour later to grab them because they were too cool to give up. Whoever rang us up is super nice and approachable. There are even some stalls that are all on discount that I had a lot of fun looking through. Most of the items do seem reasonably priced too. Will definitely come back soon to see what's "new"!

The woman there struck up conversation with my daughter and complimented her on how well behaved she was, they chatted for a few while i browsed her lovely store! It was so sweet! One complaint is on sale days, they close all the dressing rooms. They only have 3 dressing rooms to begin with. When you have a sale on clothing, it doesn't make sense to close the dressing rooms. I believe it is because they don't want the added hassle of cleaning up after people who might leave it a mess. I'm not sure. But forcing customers to try it on over their clothing or not being able to try it on at all, is not good business sense, in my opinion. You cannot return it if it isn't the right fit for you. Please reconsider opening the dressing rooms during a clothing sale! The staff there are usually pretty nice, I have encountered one that was rude, and I avoid her if possible. Their prices are sometimes worth it and sometimes not. When they have a certain color tag it is 50% off. Which can make it worthwhile. However, sometimes the item is not worth what they are asking for it. For example, if they have an item from the dollar tree marked for $3.00, even at 50% off, it makes it $1.50, when it was $1.25 brand new from the dollar tree. I understand it is a charity, however customers want a good deal. At least I know I do.
