My husband and I stayed here recently, and while the physical hotel is similar to other Holiday Inn…read moreExpresses, the service and little extras put this one above the rest. We paid $152 a night including taxes and fees (booked directly through the hotel, not a third party). This hotel is right off Highway 401, so very convenient. We had a room facing the Brockville Convention Centre and not facing the highway, so noise was not a problem. It is within walking distance to a few shops, restaurants, and fast food joints. It's a Holiday Inn Express, so the rooms are pretty basic. No fridge, no microwave. However, you get free hot breakfast buffet, free WiFi and free parking. The rooms were clean. I carry Clorox wipes with me when I stay in hotels and I wipe down all the hard surfaces. The wipes came out white (not grey or black), so I was happy. There were some stains on the fabric computer chair at the desk though, so this was a bit off-putting, but I've seen much worse at other hotels. They have a small fitness centre and pool. I didn't use the pool, but I saw it because the pool and fitness centre are separated by a glass wall. I think it's a bit weird to have to look at people in the pool while you're on the elliptical, but I guess the glass wall makes the fitness centre look and feel not as small. The fitness centre is tiny. The sign says maximum room capacity is 6 people (!) The room only has 1 elliptical, 2 stationary bikes and a treadmill, no free weights/dumbbells, so I have no idea what the other 2 people would be doing, lol. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any weights, but given the small space, I guess that's understandable. So I had to be a cardio bunny during our stay, haha. The breakfast buffet was good and comparable to other Holiday Inn Expresses. We stayed for 2 nights and the breakfast selection did not change. The hot breakfast was turkey sausage, pork sausage and scrambled eggs. They had a pancake machine. They had cinnamon buns, muffins, bagels, English muffins, and bread. They had oatmeal (with toppings you can add like raisins, walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon), 4 types of cereal, yogurt, and boiled eggs. They had juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate (the last 3 are available 24/7). All the staff were exceptionally nice. Stella was very warm and welcoming. They also give you Tic-Tacs in your room when you arrive and housekeeping writes you a nice welcome note. After our first night there, I left a thank-you note for housekeeping along with our tip and mentioned that I loved the Tic-Tacs. When we returned, our room attendant (Kylie) wrote me a nice note back and gave me extra Tic-Tacs! How nice was that? They also called our room on the second night that we were there to ask us if everything was ok with our room (they may have called us on our first night there but we weren't in our room so we don't know). This HIE also has free popcorn in the lobby everyday from 7pm-9pm. We didn't have the opportunity to have any, but I think that it's a very nice extra. WiFi was fast and reliable. Parking was plentiful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The location was very convenient to the town, walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, and the bed and pillows were SO comfy. We also had a nice view of the water and boats from the room, which was a bonus. However, the balcony hadn't been cleaned off in a while as there were lots of bugs and cobwebs. The hotel also offers Starbucks coffee on each floor every morning! The breakfast on the patio was good, but the service was a little slow. We also enjoyed happy hour on the patio one night though --the crab dip was delicious, and the espresso martini was excellent. A couple of things to know before your stay: there aren't complimentary bottled waters in the room, but the front desk is happy to provide them if you ask. The hotel also doesn't have a late-night market or convenience area for drinks and snacks, which would have been nice. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend The Harbour Hotel for anyone visiting Clayton.

Breakfast food and service excellent. Large portions. Starbucks coffee free, front desk in morning fantastic. Makes no sense, you can bring free coffee into Restaurant but if you order it with breakfast, $5.00. Front desk, Jacob evening fantastic. Some daytime staff at desk unfriendly and so, so. Shower, no cold water in couple rooms, some only hot water. Still overall recommended. Nice pool and hottub. Large event space and easy parking. Ps Robes are very nice and worth $75. If you need one.

The Comfort Inn was great and perfectly fit our needs - there was a BBQ happening when we arrived (free!) and so my kids and I ate, swam, and then snacked on warm waffles and popcorn before bedtime. Morning was made easy with a great diverse breakfast, too. Well worth every penny and we will actively seek out Comfort Inns in our future travels. The service was wonderful all around - super-friendly front desk, and a very kind woman got my daughter and I a tray so we could bring breakfast back to our room (because my two other children were still asleep). What a great way to rest/stop, especially for a parent travelling alone with younger kids.

I'm sure that happens on occasion so not a big worry as long as we ended up in a nice clean room. The room was spacious and clean. Shower was nice and hot. All the soap bottles were full. It was quiet and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was good. I love the real oatmeal with real brown sugar and dried fruit. Everything was well stocked. There is a water bottle filling station which I also appreciate. Plenty of parking. Staff was nice. Good stay.

John chatted with us and made us feel welcome to the hotel. Outstanding job! Front desk had tea, coffee and hot chocolate a first for our honeymoon trip and personally I have never seen hot chocolate offered at a front desk before. There is also a refillable water station, which I have never seen in a hotel lobby. They have two iPad like computers in the lobby that you can print for free from. We went to our room where it looked like it was brand. New TV was huge and the room very clean. Only thing I would suggest is there's a fan blowing cold air that's moderately loud enough that you could hear it in the room slightly. Breakfast was good and there wasn't a lot of people in the breakfast room, but plenty of seating. Checking out was smooth and very easy front desk staff was very pleasant. we asked what to see around the area of Cornwall and they gave us some suggestions in Ottawa along with the housekeeping staff. Highly recommend anybody stay here. This is a GREAT hotel! I wish most of the other hotels we stayed in with this nice
