It's okay. It's in a very convenient place and the outside eating place is well set up, despite being right by traffic and being super loud. My mom and I could not have a conversation that didn't involve yelling, since they blast music in the enclosed space. Service was good, nice people working there, but my main gripe is their prices. I'm not sure why half a sandwich is $10+ and it does not come with chips or even a damn pickle. I want to support local but not when they have delusional prices. For a 24 oz iced coffee, a half sandwich and a full sandwich (which is literally 2 regular sized loaves of bread, mind you) we paid $64 plus tip.

The cafe is conveniently located on Cannary Way in Sumner. We placed a breakfast order online and it was quick and easy. We ordered a Hot Mess, Country Hobo and a Breakfast Burrito. Rivers Edge Cafe is cute and homey.

Oh the turkey bacon melt on sourdough was wicked good. Also had a half garden salad with ranch and the tomato and olive portions were my favorite. If I lived here, this would be myyyyy spot!

I've been wanting to try this place for ages! I ordered online and picked it up. It was a smooth process and the gal working the window was sweet and repeated the order with my special requests. I ordered the Cuban (adding onions) and a Roast Beef deli type sandwich. It's too bad they don't come with anything ordering a whole sandwich (which run about $10-15). I thought they would have a variety of typical salads (pasta, slaw, mac etc) to offer but only saw potato salad on online menu. Ok about the sandwiches! They were both delicious! Happy to see they didn't skimp on the meat due to cost. The pulled pork on the Cuban had a mild smoked flavor which I thought was perfect, tender and all the components were flavorful. Hubby really enjoyed his roast beef/provolone saying it reminded him of a deli he loved in his teen years. He said next time he'd request cheddar to stand out more but overall pleased with it. We'd both order them again. I'm a soup lover, I noticed they offer one soup of the day so I'll ask about that next time. I also love sausage biscuits/gravy which they offer, she said breakfast is awesome so can't wait to try that too soon. Nice that they offer some outdoor seating. We will be back!

This is a busy place and after visiting I know why. The staff are helpful and patient with every new guest. Recommend items and overall just a great customer experience. The food is very good the sandwiches are amazing and we now know where we will go for a good salad. Right here for sure. You can dine in or outside and it is perfectly situated in a large parking lot so access is not an issue. Highly recommended stopping by for coffee, a beer, breakfast, lunch, actually anything you get will be great.

Rivers Edge serves up good, Hot coffee, just the way I prefer. I usually get an Almond milk or coconut milk latte. Sometimes they run out of oatmeal which is an indirect effect of Covid on the economy and not their fault. The egg scramble is always food with bacon or sausage and plenty of melted cheese. read more

My husband and I ate here today. It was his second time and he had the tuna fish sandwich again because he loved it the first time. I had the French Dip which was delicious and was on a great bun. I ordered the full sandwich which was larger others I have had at other restaurants so I took half home. They had a good crowd for lunch. They have space to eat outside and offer drive thru service. We will definitely be back! read more

Their hot pastrami sandwich is delicious! Tons of mustard! I looovvvee their chicken pesto!!! If you love Cubans get them here!!! My favorite so far is probably chicken pesto.. all are very good and flavorful. They use really good bread! read more

I am from the south and it is the only place up here that I have been able to find that makes good biscuits & gravy. Love the rest of the food, but they actually make quality biscuits & gravy. That and a coffee and my morning is set. read more

This is a friendly neighborhood cafe to dip in or drive thru (yes, they have a drive thru!), and grab a quick sandwich, salad or soup! We really enjoy eating here on the weekdays for several reasons. The first reason being we always have great, friendly service. Our orders are never wrong, and everything comes out fast. The menu is pretty simple for the most part. There is nothing too exotic or random. However, the ingredients always taste fresh and of great quality. From the bread, down to the meat. I've never had a bad meal here. They also serve beer on tap. I love the Mac & Jack brown ale, while my boyfriend goes for the milk stout. We love coming in here for a quick and easy lunch. Everything is always clean, even their bathrooms, which is a major plus in my book! Thank you Rivers Edge, for being our neighborhood brew and Sammie stop! read more

This place rocks! I generally don't go out for sandwiches. But their hot sandwich menu is amazing! The BBQ pork is my favorite but the Cuban, the French dip and the Ruben are all great too. Love the place. Unfortunately, when I come here I'm working so I don't get to sample their beer selections. But they've got some great rotating taps. read more

I have never had anything here that I did not like. The food is wonderful. I love the french dip and the club. They have a cool selection of beer on tap. The place is small even before COVID, but I always order out. I would recommend everyone to try this place. read more

Best Sandwiches around!! and they do DoorDash! The people at River's Edge Cafe knock it out of the friggin park every time! I love the Cuban it is my absolute favorite sandwich they make hands down. I have ordered for my whole team or just when I do not have time to make it out for food on a busy day they never disappoint. Stopped in 3/19/23. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap with a side of potato salad and my wife had the turkey cranberry sandwich with a Caesar salad. Everything was perfect and delicious and brought to us in a timely manner. Decent prices. We will definitely return . If you haven't been here and you live locally, I definitely recommend you try this place and eat locally. read more

Placed an on-line order at 1230. Received an email saying it was ready. Got to the cafe and they didnt have the order. Had to wait an additional 16 minutes and the staff was very rude. The manager or owner, was extremely rude. It would have been appropriate to apologize at least for the mix up, not act like I was at fault. wont eat there again. read more

I occasionally work in the area and this place was recommended by one of my local work buddies.I love this place! The staff is friendly and the decor is very cool. I got there around 3pm and was disappointed that I'd missed out on the biscuits and gravy - part of the breakfast menu. The attendant said she'd check for me and they did have some! Biscuits were perfectly cooked and not dry, small or hard.. the gravy was out of this world! Perfect blend of seasoning and sausage. I also had half of an Avocado turkey sandwich which had real turkey breast ! Yummm. Everything was perfection. They have beer on tap and some delicious smelling fresh brewed coffee's which I didn't try this round, maybe next time. The ambiance is great, plenty of parking and I think they even have a drive through! I'll be back! read more

I had the Turkey Avacado Bacon sandwhich and absolutely loved it. It tasted so fresh! The bread was so good and the turkey breast was sliced by them and piled high. The ambiance is a cute & trendy cafe. The staff is super friendly. They serve locally roasted Dillanos coffee which is my favorite coffee roaster! We stopped by on a whim. Did not realize they would be closing in less than 5 minutes. Got a latte, 2 diet Coke's and the pastrami sandwich...now about the sandwich. I'm from the east coast, and I'm always on the hunt for a good pastrami sandwich. Normally, they are served on a marbled rye, or something similar. Not here... Served on a toasted rustic roll. It was Awesome! Who would have thought, right? Lastly, I can't emphasize enough the excellent service and commitment of the team who completed our order even though they were in the midst of closing. Highly recommend this place. Hope to stop by again before we head out east. read more

.....what to say. This place was a total disappointment. Stopped by on a weekend, mid morning... my daughter wanted the granola-fruit-yogurt parfait item... without the granola. The only fruit they had to offer was a banana, so she just wanted the yogurt. The cashier at the drive through was nice, and asked the other lady making the food "how much to charge for just yogurt", and the other lady said "full price". !!!! so I paid $4.95 for plain vanilla yogurt... 86'd banana and 86'd granola. The coffee (an americano) was watered down. I asked for 3 shots of coffee, and pretty sure she missed one. The breakfast burrito my teenage son ordered was itty bitty, for the price... and not flavor-full. I know I should have just driven to fred meyers and bought a container of Tillamook yogurt... but I was in shock of actually how much it cost for the entire crappy experience. I will NEVER return to that establishment. I'm all for supporting local businesses- and working with the customer (and the business). I do work in the industry, and I would have offered a discounted rate for a yogurt parfait that was ANYTHING but parfait. Unfortunately just bad all around. read more

Went there for a lunch with my daughter on a rainy day. Used the drive through - barista was more interested in closing out her shift than taking our order. Parked to wait for food where we were asked to - the (different) person who brought our food was beyond rude and this was the worst I have ever been treated at a restaurant or any other business EVER (and I hadn't even spoken a word). Staff Covid precautions are not great - lots of masks under noses - which is effectively no mask. This treatment hadn't happened past visits, but was horrific enough that I will never go back and would not recommend. In case you want to brave it - hot sandwiches and breakfasts are fantastic. Cold sandwiches, bread is gummy. read more

Went to meet my sister for lunch and we had the Cuban and the chicken club wrap. Again we were greeted with friendly smiling faces and the food was so good. I recommend the chicken club wrap if you love wraps. Very refreshing on a hot day. read more

Ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich today and was so looking forward to it but so disappointed. Literally tastes like they opened a can of chicken drop some mayo in it and slapped it on the bread. Beer flights were reasonable and the burger we tried was simply superb. Looking forward to stopping in to Township 20 on another sunny day soon. Especially before summer is over!

I said if he would start right then, I will keep my order. More people were coming in placing orders. Others sitting waiting were saying "I've been waiting 30 minutes. I placed my order 40 minutes ago." Our order was completed and they bagged it up. When we got back home we realized they had LEFT OFF ONE OF THE SANDWICHES. I will be heading back there today for a credit. This was a nightmare, and how they continued to take orders while working on THREE 30 piece boxes is beyond me. Irresponsible that they continued taking orders, not communicating to customers that they would be waiting for an hour for their orders. One of the absolute worst experiences we've had from ANY restaurant. Terrible management. We do like the sandwiches there, and will go elsewhere moving forward.

I got the half French dip sandwich, half club sandwich, and a full-size ham sandwich for my husband to take to work the next day. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and carefully prepared, making it a standout takeout meal. The French dip was outstanding. The roast beef was tender and flavorful, and the bread held up well, even as a to-go item. The au jus sauce came in a secure container, making it easy to enjoy later. It was warm, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. The club sandwich was another win. The breakfast selection is great from breakfast burrito to biscuits and gravy I always order a coffee in the morning they use Dillanos Coffee roasted in Sumner just across the river. They just added BEER ON TAP !! 8 different micro brews available and hard cider Growler fills availbe. The staff is awesome so friendly and they work hard to make you happy . This is a great place to get coffee or something to eat. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. The food is fresh and tastes great, the banana bread was my favorite. It's also a great place to go if you take lunch at non traditional hours. We take lunch at 10am and it's great to be able to get a sandwich and not just breakfast food that early. I highly recommend it to anyone is the Puyallup area. read more
