This place was excellent. We asked several of the locals for a good restaurant and everyone told us to go here. It's not a seafood restaurant, really... It's Greek. But it's awesome Greek food. I had a cup of crab bisque and it was amazing. We also had authentic moussaka, which is normally made with layers of pasta instead of layers of eggplant. Not here, this was the most authentic and complex moussaka I've ever had. The hummus is homemade and incredible. The desserts looked tantalizing, but we didn't try any. We walked in and the manager wanted our group to sit at two separate tables on the patio. We choose to not sit separately so we went inside. Then we were asked to move from the table they sat us at to the room across the hall. It was cold and smelled like mildew. Managements service was horrible. I have NEVER in my life seen such atrociously appalling behavior and service from a business owner in my life until tonight. A young mother was told to leave the establishment due to her son crying for something to drink. He was extremely rude to her in front of her children. The small group quietly left. However the young mother came back to talk with the owner outside of the restaurant just to be screamed at and berated by the owner. The poor woman was in tears as he was screaming at her saying it's not his responsibility to parent her children and that she would not be welcome at any of the other locations as he is "friends" with them. I highly doubt anyone is friends with the owner. His own employees looked uncomfortable with the way he was treating this woman. I certainly will never return! I will also be having all my coworkers and friends spread the word to avoid such a low class establishment. read more

We went here when we were looking for lunch on our first day in town. The view was so pretty we decided to take a chance, as they said we could have our dogs on the deck. He had a Greek salad with gyro meat, and I had stuffed peppers from the specials menu. Everything was perfectly prepared, my side salad was fresh - even the tomatoes - and in December that's not something to take for granted. The service was fast and friendly, and we were offered water for our dogs without asking. We'll definitely be back! read more

My issue is the government imposed rules. The waiters are wearing rubber gloves. They handle menus, doors, dirty dishes and bring us food all with the same gloves on. They can't tell when their hands are dirty or wet. So, it is far easier to transmit disease using a single pair of gloves than with their bare hands. How dangerous and how stupid. The "government " told them. So, don't blame the restaurant. read more

Despite a huge menu, the food is mediocre. Expect if you are a vegetarian not to be able to find a meal.. you will have to order appetizers. They also don't offer side salads to accommodate their lack of vegetarian options. Had 4 adults and 3 kids under the age of 5. We sat on the porch and were eaten alive by noseeum bugs even with putting bug spray on. The service was attentive even with being outside. The food was not bad and seemed fresh it just was small portions. I jad the special of cod fish and chips. I had about 10 fries and the fish was 2 strips. It just seemed like little food for $14. The kids meals had more food than my plate did. More chicken strips that were larger than my fish for less than half the price. The Greek salad looked really good and I wish I had ordered it like i was going to originally. The bathroom is one that all the restaurants use and is a 2 stall bathroom around the corner from the restaurant. I was dissappointed that they had no changing tables. read more

The service is SO good here! They were so helpful when I locked my keys in my car, they gave me the phone and let me wait inside. While waiting I saw how delicious the food looked. This is my favorite place to eat in town. The owners are Greek and their Greek delicacies are delicious! My go to favorites are the Mousaka, the Greek stuffed peppers, the gyro, and the Riverside Wrap. They have an ever-changing selection of craft draft beers so always something new to try and enjoy. The portions are large and very filling so be sure to take home a piece of baklava for breakfast. It's the best I've had and excellent with coffee the next morning. read more

We were jut out taking a day trip and called into St Mary's for a visit and stopped at the Riverside Café for lunch. We arrived at 11.00 and it was fairly quiet but within half an hour it was full. They have both an indoor and outdoor area with a nice view across the park to the river. I ordered the fish and chips and hubby had the Greek Meatballs and pasta. The fish was absolutely wonderful, delicate flavor, very moist and 3 big pieces of it. Fries were fresh and crispy and a nice coleslaw. The meatballs were huge with plenty of sauce and pasta. Even though it got busy service was fast and the food came out hot and fresh. Would definitely recommend it. Just a note - the don't take American Express cards. read more

Started off with a cup of clam chowder -- MMMMMM -- perfect temperature and VERY tasty! Shared the seafood platter that came with cod, jumbo shrimp, fries and a crab cake. I ate here for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The hummus and pita bread appetizer was excellent. I also had a lamb gyro with a Greek salad. Both were excellent. The salad had lots of flavor and toppings on a good bed of mixed greens. Our waiter was nice and attentive. Although I wasn't able to try any, if you are in the mood for something sweet, they have a large selection of cheesecakes that looked amazing. Stopped in for coffee and a piece of their coconut cream pie. It was yummy but I was eying their blueberry pie, strawberry pie and a few other pies that looked fantastic. So we gotta come back again. Their desserts are all made daily so that's a plus. Staff was very friendly and the seating outside is nice with the view of St. Mary's river. I've lived in St Marys, GA for approx 2 years now and my favorite place to eat is this place. I think I've had practically every item on their menu and they make their food to order. The greek house salad is my favorite and I always have a salad so I can indulge myself. It has a strong Greek flair and they play Greek music. The owner is Greek and is one fantastic chef. I bring any visitors here without worrying if they'll be happy with the food. They serve the locally brewed beer and a large selection of other beers, wines and of course, iced tea. The desserts are fabulous as well. You can choose to eat inside with the air conditioning with a view of the riverfront or outside on the covered porch where you can hear and feel the breezes off the river. Ceiling fans help keep you cooled. read more

I really liked this place, they were very accommodating to our large party, the service was great considering the amount of people and the other tables they had, the food was very good, I had their Greek salad with their vinaigrette and I almost licked my plate clean it was so good!
