Such an adorable restaurant with incredible ambiance, it was definitely unlike anything I've been to before. Dining underneath the lemon trees felt so tranquil and serene, making the whole experience extra special. Our server was wonderfully attentive, and everything we ordered tasted incredibly fresh. We started with a mocktail that was refreshing, then enjoyed a crisp salad, perfectly cooked halibut, and ended the evening with a rich and delicious cheesecake. Each course was excellent. One unique detail worth noting: you can reserve a private dome for an additional fee, which makes for such a thoughtful touch if you're celebrating a special occasion. Overall, a truly memorable dining experience that I would absolutely recommend

The ambiance was exquisite. We sat beneath the lemon trees and hanging lanterns. The cut rose and baby breath at the center of the table amplified the upscale vibe. The service was exceptional! Paige and Cameron ensured that we understood the menu and enjoyed our meal. I rated my blackened salmon salad as 5 stars but my wife rated hers 4.5. My son rated his halibut at 4 stars. This is a fine dining restaurant and the pricing reflects that. I was pleasantly surprised they offered a military discount!

Really elegant restaurant. Prepare for upscale dining. Great luxury feel. Limited menu but my table all enjoyed the dishes we got. Waitress was nice and attentive, though obviously wasn't a huge fan of my table (but hey when you're young people think you're not worth their time as a server) Really cute inside

I nearly bypassed this restaurant after reading a handful of one-star reviews suggesting slow service and underwhelming, "microwaved" food. I'm pleased to report that my experience could not have been further from that narrative. I ordered the blackened salmon salad and it was exceptional. Perfectly executed, deeply flavorful, and balanced in a way that makes you pause between bites just to appreciate it. At one point I genuinely had to check myself because the sensory enjoyment was so elevated I could have sworn I was on MDMA. I was not. The dish was simply that transporting. The crème brûlée was of Michelin caliber. Silky custard, flawlessly torched sugar crust, ideal sweetness. It stands just behind my own homemade version, which is the highest compliment I can give. The bruschetta was equally refined, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Service was polished and attentive throughout. Our waitress, short dark hair, excellent presence, anticipated needs without hovering. The only mystery was her missing name tag. Ambience deserves its own praise. The acoustics were perfect, allowing conversation without strain, while a Frank Sinatra style playlist set an elegant, nostalgic tone. For a moment I thought I was listening to one of my own Spotify playlists. Impeccable curation. At one point I noticed lemon trees growing inside the building and briefly questioned whether they were real. They were decorative, but that moment captures how immersive the dining experience felt. No peyote involved, just remarkable execution. A thoroughly elevated meal. Five stars without hesitation.

Excellent ambiance. Great detailed and personable service. Had a section and the menu had these delectable lamb quarters. A beautifully dry yet crispy Rosè. The time was had, and I would love to return again and again. HIGHLY recommend!

Bruschetta was amazing! And the lemon cake is to die for.

A wonderful lunch experience. The service is not fast, but it is worth the wait. My mom and I stopped for a light lunch on my birthday weekend. We could not have been happier with the quality of the food or the service.

Excellent atmosphere, great food and amazing service. Very unique dining experience and I will return.

    Mushroom bisque

Great atmosphere. The charcuterie board was almost perfect (missing olives.) Mushroom bisque was a 10/10. Roasted Lemon Chicken 9/10 only because my carrots could have been roasted a bit more. Definitely coming here again! Our server Braxton was great!

We started off with the bruschetta. The presentation was appealing, and the taste did not disappoint as well. The combination of all the ingredients together was perfect, giving a complex and rich taste with each bite. We also got the mushroom bisque and butternut squash soup. The mushroom bisque was average, but the butternut squash was HEAVENLY. The taste was simply amazing, and the candied pumpkin seeds gave it a nice added texture to the soup, too. I would definitely go back for that. I was slightly disappointed by the bread rolls, probably because I had too high of an expectation, as most nice restaurants I've been had really nice bread and spread. Since a lot of their dishes incorporate lemon, I would think they should have lemon cream cheese spread or something like that. All they had was regular rolls and butter, and the top of the rolls were too greasy. However, I was pleasantly surprised when our server gave us a gift from the chef: a dried fig on cheese with honey. I enjoyed this palate cleanser! We ordered the Salmon Filet and the Shrimp Scampi. The salmon was moist and flavorful. Apparently, the salmon were freshly caught and delivered yesterday. I was impressed by their Shrimp Scampi; definitely exceeded my expectations. I loved the sauce, the texture of the linguine, and the generous portion. Delicious! Overall, I loved how everything here was lemon-themed! From the food to the interior design with lemon trees, even their bathroom smelled nice and had lemon-scented hand soap! AND I have to mention that I was very satisfied with the lemon drop candy at the end. It was so good and unlike the usual lemon candies that would scratch your mouth. It gave my entire experience a nice finishing touch. While the food was absolutely delightful, the service was extremely slow. The mushroom bisque took 40 minutes before it was brought out, which was a bit ridiculous considering it's just soup. Not sure if they forgot about the order or what. And then for the entrées, they really took a LONG time before they were done (more than an hour since we placed the order...). We were starving and getting quite impatient. Other than the wait, everything else was great.

I have nothing but good things to say about La Jolla Groves. We visited after a Christmas outing, and I was stunned by the beautiful lemon grove ceiling hung with ornaments and lights. The interior goes hard on the lemon grove theme, in a good way. It reminded me of the Isle of Capri. All the staff was oddly charismatic. I'm not one to strike up conversations with strangers, but we ended up talking at length to nearly every member of the waitstaff we came into contact with. Our waitet was especially nice and even brought us ice cream on the house for our daughter. The food was just delicious! The lemon chicken was amazing and a perfect-sized portion to leave room for dessert (chocolate lava cake). The staff also brought us lemon drops with the check! I loved my visit and hope to come back sometime!

A huge thank you to Sean who made our experience so wonderful! He was the perfect amount of attentive and super friendly. Honestly, all of the wait staff was great as many helped out when needed. We were celebrating my fiancé's birthday and this spot was perfect! It was the perfect amount of lighting and the indoor lemon tress with lights made it just romantic enough. I have to say every single thing we ate or drank was superb!! I cant recommend this establishment enough.

Dinner at La Jolla Groves was an enjoyable experience. It's a big, attractive, energetic place. The greeters, runners, and servers were all friendly and clearly focused on the customers' needs. The menu offered a good variety with no particular focus - call it American I guess. There's a short, high quality wine list with extremely attractive prices. We had martinis (pretty decent) and a glass of Chardonnay (good, cheap). For dinner we each had the butternut squash soup with the flatbread appetizer and the bruschetta appetizer. The soup was delicious. There was nothing to criticize, although the first martini was sent back to remove the bug doing the backstroke.

But then came the steak, which was flat-out the best I've had in years. No notes. Here's the thing though, I'm not a gnocchi person. Never have been. Our server talked me into it anyway, and I'm genuinely grateful. It's a short rib and stew situation with gnocchi that somehow hits every note perfectly. Total convert now. And the s'mores pie to close out the night? Simply perfect. Don't skip it. The service was great too, our server clearly knew the menu inside and out and steered us exactly right.

However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.

The jalapeño ranch brings just enough heat to keep things interesting without overpowering the brightness of the mango or the creaminess of the avocado. It's a well-composed dish, and easily the best thing I have eaten so far during an entire week in Utah. The sweet potato fries matched it: crispy outside, soft inside, the kind of side you keep reaching for without meaning to. Service was fast, atmosphere rustic and clean. No ceremony, no friction. We ordered a large sweet potato fry to share, and the container was only filled about halfway. I also ordered the beet salad with extra red beets, extra gold beets, and extra goat cheese. We were charged an additional $1.50 for each add-on, yet my salad arrived with zero goat cheese, only four tiny slices of red beets, and five tiny slices of gold beets. Cubby's has always been notoriously stingy with the beets, which is exactly why I paid extra for additional toppings. Instead, I ended up with even less than the standard portion. In the end, I paid $18 for what was essentially a bowl of spring mix with two slices of avocado, three orange segments, no goat cheese, and nine paper-thin slices of beets. That's unacceptable. To make matters worse, we tried calling to speak with a manager, but the phones were turned off at 8:15 p.m., even though the restaurant advertises that it's open until 9:00 p.m. This was the last straw with Cubby's. The night shift clearly needs better training and quality control. Charging customers for extras and then not including them is not okay. If you want to waste your money on food that is carelessly prepared and doesn't match what you paid for, this is a great place to go.

The Foundry Grill has earned mine to the point where it has become one of my favorite restaurants in the entire state of Utah, and that is not a title I hand out lightly. The menu is short. If you come expecting a sprawling selection you will feel underwhelmed at first glance. Stay with it, because what that menu lacks in variety it more than compensates for in intention and execution. Every dish feels deliberate, every ingredient earns its place on the plate. The experience started before we even sat down. When we booked the table they asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, and by the time we arrived the staff already knew. That kind of seamless attention is rarer than it should be and it set the tone for the entire evening. We settled in and let the meal unfold at its own pace, starting with their muesli bread and herb butter while we waited. Simple, perfect, and gone before we noticed. The lamb flatbread came first. Hummus, pine nuts, smoked yogurt, radish, feta, and pickled onions, generously portioned and ideal for sharing. Then the corn chowder with potato and poblano pepper, subtle and deeply flavored. For the main course we tried the pork tenderloin for the first time. Cooked with bacon, grilled garden vegetables, and charred scallion salsa, it was good and well executed. But next visit I am returning to the Bucatini, the Halibut, or the Ribeye, the dishes that in my experience represent this kitchen at its very best. To close the evening they brought us the mango coconut cheesecake, compliments of the house. Light, balanced, and a genuinely lovely way to end a special night. The Foundry Grill is intimate without being precious, relaxed without being casual, and consistent in a way that the best restaurants make look effortless. Five stars, every time.

We had dinner at The Foundry Grill at Sundance tonight…read more I have to start with the parking situation because it's the first thing guests experience. The resort now offers $20 valet parking, and our interaction with the attendant wasn't particularly welcoming. It felt like an unnecessary and somewhat corporate change to what used to be one of Sundance's most charming and relaxed qualities. Once inside, our experience improved considerably. Our server was excellent--friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and paced the meal well. The service was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. The food was good, but it wasn't especially memorable. At these prices, I expect every detail to be dialed in: proper temperature, confident seasoning, accurate execution, and thoughtful presentation. Those small touches are what elevate a meal from good to exceptional, and tonight they weren't consistently there. Overall, we enjoyed the evening, largely because of the outstanding service and the beautiful Sundance setting. However, the new parking experience and food that didn't quite match the premium pricing kept it from being the special dining experience I remember.
