However, two members of his staff told me the wrong, dates, time and place for my pre/op labs. They do not They are disorganized, incompetent, unprofessional and rude.They never call you back to confirm important tests prior to surgery. You have to call them after 10am when they open! It's an absolute shame that Dr Kearney puts up with a lame and rude staff. His staff is not helpful at all, and even violate HIPPA laws about another patient's privacy.

I was already on the way twice to get a phone stating the Dr had "EMERGENCY" Finally I get my appointment and I see the Dr for 2 minutes confirming I needed a surgery. I hear from them 3 weeks later to schedule. I had called them a week after my appointment and they said they would call me. After getting a date scheduled I went to get my pre surgery test done. Blood work , EKG and chest X-Ray. Dr Kearney's office called me to reschedule my surgery because the Dr had to deal with an "EMERGENCY" ok now I have a new date. The week before that second schedule they called me and cancelled . I asked why they said there was a problem with the wrong days to do surgery at the hospital. Ok third schedule is now set. Now I have to get another blood test. My surgery was scheduled this Thursday. I called them last week because they did not let my primary care know I needed another blood test yet. They said they would send it to my Primary care Dr.. I called them yesterday to ask what is going on? Where is my blood test other. They then called me to tell me that the Dr had to go to a "FAMILY EMERGENCY TO OREGON " and that most likely my surgery would not happen this week. They said they would let me know for sure today. I called them three times or maybe four times today only to be told I would get a call back because the girl who schedules was busy with patients. I said oh is the Dr back from Oregon already ? the receptionist was studderung. I never got a call today . THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL DR OFFICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE. THEY WASTED THREE MONTHS OF MY LIFE WITH SCHEDULING AS WELL AS MY HUSBANDS SCHEDULE. WE WORK AND MUST TAKE THE TIME OFF, I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE AMA AS WELL AS THE STATE . Janet, the front desk employee, very nice and pleasant, acknowledged my presence and greeted me immediately upon arrival. I saw Dr. De La Llana and he was very professional, explained everything to me very clearly, and is very knowledgeable. The people upfront will lie to you and tell you what you want to hear not what you need to hear they don't care about patience. All they care about is the money. And the lady tried to just put a simple IV in my arm, tore my arm up four different times, but then they finally got somebody in there that knew how to put IV in it the first time so as I say, this place is a hit. Yes, Dr Mesiwala is extremely skilled with decades of surgery experience. Most importantly,Dr Mesiwala cares for his patients.. If the words "born healer", were ever used, it would be for this man. The first one left me with a spinal fluid leak (soaking the bed sheets with spinal fluid!) which required another surgery to repair it. This one one gave me a septic infection which put me in the ICU where my wife was told that I probably would not be going home. The wonderful hospital doctor ordered the swollen, infected area around my incision to be aspirated and tested to prove surgical infection. Before the team came to perform the aspiration procedure, Mesiwala came in and quickly ordered another nurse to administer an IV antibiotic (while he stood by and anxiously watched). This would make all of the infection tests from the surgical site come back negative. The hospital doctor on my case who ordered the test was furious about this cover-up antibiotic maneuver. She was very frank with me and said she "was shocked that he was still allowed to practice medicine but said it wouldn't go on for long." That was 18 years ago. Prior to the first surgery, a very well-known neurologist told me that Dr. Mesiwala "Has very poor judgment." A very strong statement from one MD against another, which I wish I had taken seriously. After my disastrous and nearly fatal experience, he suggested I get a lawyer and had his secretary give me the lawyer's phone number. He was on the medical board and wanted to use my case for more evidence to have Mesiwala's license revoked. I was too sick to deal with it and foolishly did not follow up. Also, prior to my surgery, even my home health nurse asked if I had done any research on Dr. Mesiwala. He then told me about the TV exposé on Dr. Mesiwala and the US Department of Justice Enterprise Corruption case for pushing a company's spinal implants after being given part of the company which made them. This is a Federal crime. I blame myself for not heeding the warnings. That's why I'm posting this for others.
