so I bought a 2021 Tesla model y from riverside on January 6. they paid off my trade and got me in it. the tire sensors where bad. they assured me the tires where fine but they installed two new sensors. They where the wrong sensors and all 4 sensors where bad not the two they claimed. it took them almost two months but they sent me two Tesla sensors I bought two Tesla sensors I paid for the installation and now everything is fine. but I wanna thank the dealer for bringing my dream to life as a model y was my dream car and I didn't think I could get one . thank you riverside GMC read more

Letter I sent to dealer management below with NO REPLY or call. I start this letter with a photo that your service department in Cartersville is very familiar with. You see, my 2018 GMC Denali 1500 developed a problem where the fuel gauge would not go all the way to full as seen in the picture. This truck was purchased from you as a CPO vehicle in good faith and in agreement with your terms. This problem did develop late in the warranty period, but that was not the problem. I brought my truck to your service department with this issue either 3 or 4 times with no resolution and here is where the problems begin. Might I mention I live in Dallas, GA less than 2 miles from Hardy, but I purchased from you, 20+ miles each way per trip. First, your technician said he did not see a problem after he filled the truck with fuel and the gauge was as seen above after he filled the tank. Your service department involved GM but told them they did not see a problem and was there a fix? Do you now see a problem developing? Since your service department/technician did not see a problem, GM had no advice on a repair. I must tell you I was angered several times through this adventure with Riverside and the lack of support for me as a customer. I continued to complain and even called GM myself for some help. Next, one of your service people called me and said they were ordering a new fuel pump and sending unit in an effort to fix my truck, finally some hope. But No, Vicky called me back to say you were not going to "throw" parts at my truck in hopes it would fix it. That was my last visit there. About 2 weeks ago I took my truck to Hardy in Dallas, GA after speaking to their service advisor regarding the gauge problem. Hardy was able to quickly repair my truck and return the gauge to proper working order. I waited a few days to write this letter to gather my thoughts. My truck is now fixed and the fuel gauge goes all the way to full each time I fill up as it should. I traveled further than I had to in order to purchase my truck from you. I traveled further than I had to for each service visit. I traveled further than I had to in order to purchase a new set of tires from you. I made 3-4 visits for nothing while I argued with your service department. How much extra time and gas have I wasted, dealing with you? I recently bought a GMC 2500 HD. Got a good price and fair trade-in deal. However, it had come in the day before and had not be tagged with the dealership's logo/name on back, chip on the door....told me that it hadn't been ran through service. I picked up the next day, chip was fixed but it had been moved in the parking lot. Had very little orientation exempt for a younger salesman that knew the on-star, wireless etc. They discontinued my plans for the trail period and said my existing plan would pick me back up.....nope. Cancelled all my plans and I had to contact on-star and sat. Radio. Not a big deal but it gets better. Never had a diesel before and half way home...four states away my DEF light came on. They hadn't filled up the DEF or even told me about it and had to do some quick research and stop in a truck stop to pick up. The salesman later said--I guess I didn't spend enough time going through it.....they got my money and out the door. I took the truck off the lot and to a near by speciality truck shop on Tennessee St. Then I took it back to the KOA. When I got there I noticed that the side mirror had been scratched. It looked as if it had been driven through a garage door or off the car carrier. The speciality shop said they didn't do it because they have cameras. ( They don't have cameras in the back ally which is a tight fit. The salesman said he would go down and look at the videos since I was already 2 states away driving home. I appreciated the offer. After hearing nothing and no one owning up to the scratch I posted basically this review. The salesman, several days after I posted said he would go down there and look at the tape. Whether R. Did or not who knows. He said the dealership wasn't responsible and the dealership would not pay for a whole mirror. I got back home to an outstanding GMC dealer (whom I had contacted while in Cartersville and told me to go for the deal (All dealerships aren't about treating their customers like Riverside) they said the repair part was a little over $100, not the thousand that Riverside had assessed and avoided. I will be returning to Cartersville for family in the near future, and will take my repair with labor to them to see if they stand by their product and service. Nice truck but not the GMC/Buick sales and service you would expect. They told me they were trying to get business away from Atlanta. For those in Atlanta, save the drive time. read more

I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. We were told several untruths by Kay the sales person. We were told the original vehicle we called about did not come in, but one came in with AT4 wheels and tires. After verifying the VIN # I found out it was indeed the vehicle we called about and they added $4,400 worth of tires to the truck. Still we continued to work on a deal. Also once my daughter signed the deal the numbers changed two more times. As we were leaving they miraculously found another $2,100 after they said they were done. We then were $216 apart and they choose to lose the deal. The next morning the general sales manger called my daughter and said they would meet her price. She informed him they bought elsewhere that night. A few minutes later Kay called and told my daughter that some other people that were looking at the same vehicle had came in that morning and bought it. This was all around 10 am the next morning. We had a very bad experience. Phone calls went well. Once we got to the dealership on Monday it went downhill fast. We worked with a sales person named Kay. I originally called about a vehicle on their website on Saturday. On Monday Kay called and said that vehicle did not come in but she had another one just like it but it had AT 4 tires and wheels which she said they normally do not come in from the manufacturer that way. It was a little more money. When we got there we found out that it was the same vehicle that I called about Saturday however they took it and added the higher priced tires and wheels. So Kay told me an untruth and tried to mislead me. Second we signed a paper for the price and agreed to run the credit. Then the price changed twice after that. We said no way. As we started out the door they miraculously came down $2,100. Then that put us within $3 a month or $216 total for the deal. We said no. They said bye. We bought another vehicle from another dealer that night. So, Tuesday morning the general sales manager called and said they worked out a special deal with GM and got a special interest rate and now the payment was less than. We informed him we purchased else where. Kay then called and informed us that some other buyers who were also looking at the truck came in Tuesday morning and bought the truck. The vehicle I drove three hours to look at smelled so bad of smoke. Was never told over the phone and it was not mentioned on the online listing. When asking the manager what could be done about it he said, " oh that's fine I just use downy dryer sheets to get rid of the smell". Would recommend you stay very far away from this shady operation. It was a very wet and rainy morning as I was driving through the dealerships in Cartersville GA looking for a new/used truck, went to all three on Main Street, then to the Ford dealership on Tennessee Street, driving up one row then back down the other, at no point did a sales representative come out into the pouring rain to greet me. I then drove through Riverside no sooner i had made my way down the first row in the back of the lot, a young lady walked out to my car and introduced herself as Christina and ask if I needed anything. I replied no thanks I am only window shopping. She said okay let me know if you have any questions. I eventually drove away as I didn't see anything that caught my eye not within my price range. The next day I went looking the dealerships in town, this time I had my son with me to help me pick something out. Again raining and cold outside we drove through all the lots, still nobody bothered to come outside in the rain to greet me, we even stopped the car and looked at the sticker prices on several trucks at many of the dealerships. One last stop, Riverside Buick, as I pulled into the lot he cames Christina with her red little rain jacket on walking up to my car, she said hello again, is there something I could help you with. I then told her I was looking for a truck within a certain price range and had to be able to tow my camper. She immediately pointed out three trucks to look at and went to get the keys. We spoke on pricing and financing possibilities o the two trucks I liked the best, but due to financial reasons I couldn't get approved with current situation or they wanted too much money as a down payment that I didnt have. So my son and I left the dealership. The next day Christina called me she said I have three different banks that I have been approved from for either of the vehicles and asked me if I wanted to come and test drive them. I told here I'd be right there. She went over the details with me once I arrived and we took both trucks for a test drive through town she continued to say "no pressure, I want to make sure you get the truck you want" after the test drive I picked the one I liked the best, we signed the paperwork and Christina had the truck cleaned and detailed for me. And I come back after lunch and drove off in my new truck. I know this post is long but I wanted to capture the commitment and the willingness Christina had to get me into a car that fit my financial situation, my needs, and my bank account. I must have drove past 100 other car salesman during thise three days and due to the rain and the cold only Christina at Riverside wanted to come outside in the weather and help me, she was amazing throughout the entire process I would never look at another place to purchase a vehicle as I am sure I will be disappointed in their service after this experience with Riverside Buick GMC I have received. The initial sales experience wasn't bad. We found a used vehicle we liked a lot and bought. After the sale, though, not good. We were sold a 3 year warranty that we were assured was "bumper to bumper". When a small problem occurred, I made an appointment at the dealership to have it looked at, and for the first 30 minutes I was there I was waiting on them to figure out this warranty that THEY SOLD to me. The day we bought the car, the salesman told us, as we were leaving, that our first 2 oil changes would be free, and there was one detail service included. Of course, when I brought the vehicle to receive the first oil change, no one had ever heard of such a thing, it would have to be authorized by the salesman that made the promise, but he was not there and they did not have his phone number. Sure they don't. This is definitely one of the old school car dealers we have all made fun of. They don't even know the products they sell, and they don't live up to their promises. So of the best service for a car dealership we have ever had is at Terry Reid Buick GMC. We found a vehicle online when searching AutoTrader and contacted Terry Reid online and within minutes received a call and follow up email from the dealership; we set up an appointment to come in that afternoon and look at the car. Once at dealership we were greeted by several friendly associates who directed us to the salesperson that had contacted us. He was more than happy to allow us to test drive and look over the vehicle that we found online. My wife was hooked on the car so we sat down to make a deal. We were able to negotiate the price of the new vehicle and got better than expected trade in value on the car which we traded. As far as getting a loan to pay off our trade in and the extra on the new car there was no problem with that, they found us the best loan within a matter of minutes. The next morning we received "thank you" emails from multiple members of the dealership. We were very happy with their service and look forward to using Terry Reid for our future vehicle needs and service. read more

I can't speak for sales but if you filter the negative comments for this dealer you will find almost all are for bad service dept issues. I can verify it truly is the worst I've experienced . As most have stated I was told a price and then it changed. They said they called GM and all work would be covered . When it was done I was told they made a mistake and it would be almost $800. Rather than do the right thing and charge me what I was quoted they put even more time in to "unfix", and remove parts they installed . This is after keeping over two weeks. They stated even though they told me ALL repairs were covered only one actually was. And what do you know that particular Problem still there also . Manager won't return calls to address either. This place is a complete disaster in every department. Most of the sales people are newbies who have no idea what they are doing. And the alleged "managers" are not much better. One was drunk the night/morning before (I could smell it.) They try to offer cars that are claimed to be in "great shape" but are hideously horrible. Most would not even sell at a dealer auction - much less a used car lot. The reason the turnover rate is so high with the sales people is because they can't sell anything at that place - due to aforementioned reasons. Their cars are barely washed, cleaned, prepped when you are ready to take yours home. I could wash a car blindfolded and do a better job than these people. My guess is they are selling wrecked cars, and trying to hide the damage. (I have proof of the car I bought from them) Anyone who posts "positive" reviews on here is obviously affiliated with this dealership in some way. The real customers know what's up here - that this place is awful. There are several reasons why every Review website rates this place as BAD. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!! I have never had an experience with this dealership and I never will. However, I learned of this place from a friend whose elderly mother was taken advantage of by the sales team. The lady in question had a vehicle with very low miles (less than 20k) that is also less than 10 years old. Upon having some minor issues with it cutting off, she took it to this dealership and was told that one of the computers had gone bad and that it could not be fixed. Really, you can't get parts for an 8 year old car anymore?? After being told this, she was approached by a snake oil salesperson that convinced her that she would need to purchase a new vehicle. So now you have an 75+ year old widower with her only adult child 3 states away, no source of transportation, being told she needs a new car. Needless to say, she bought a car under pressure. Once her son found out, he called the dealership and was told that 'it was ultimately her decision' to buy the car. So not only is a the sales team dirty, they also like to deflect responsibility of their low standards and put it on the customer. The kicker in this deal.....they miraculously 'fixed' her unfixable car with a couple of parts and a little bit of labor for under $500. It is so honorable of them to fix this unfixable vehicle before they put it up for resale on their used car lot. So now they are making money off a new car sale and from reselling an 'unfixable' (as of last week) used car. Absolutely despicable! Spread the word on Riverside Buick in Cartersville. But after three different times of leaving my truck there to get the simple thing repaired, that they damaged, and it still not being fixed, I decided I would finally talk to the service manager. Service manager showed zero understanding for all of my wasted time. Didn't take long for him to hang up on me. I will never, never, go there again. PS. they had my truck for several weeks and still could not fix one simple piece of weatherstripping. She took her 2011 Buck Verano with less than 20k miles, in for service after it cut off on two separate occasions. The first time it occurred the problem could not be found. After the second time, the service dept told my relative that the car had a "computer failures" and could not be repaired. Reall???? 8 years old and can't be fixed??!! She was then approached by their sales dept and was sold a new car. When I found out this information I questioned the GM and he told me that this unrepairable vehicle had indeed been repaired and placed on their used car lot. What deplorable unethical and sad business practices to pray on an older female who was made afraid, based on their information, to drive her 8 year old car. Yes, it was her decision to buy a new car, BUT, she was told hers was beyond repair. The Better Businesses Bureau has since been contacted. My husband & I went to RIverside on 11/7/2020 with a check in hand & intent to buy a $50k used 2019 Tahoe after working with TJ days prior. After inspecting the interior & exterior & test driving, we were ready to purchase, but before doing so, we pointed out two issues: chipped paint & scraches in several spots on the truck & need for an oil change due to no oil change being done Since April 2020. It's at that time that things when horribly wrong, in which our amazing, patient, helpful, & resourceful salesman TJ relayed our concerns to sales manager JR. JR immediately came over to us and thanked us for coming and told us that he didn't want to sell us the vehicle & indicated his rationale was because he didn't want us to be uncomfortable. He informed us that there was no need to change the oil and continued to thank us for coming and reiterated that he ddin't want to sell us the vehicle because he doesn't want us to be unhappy and have regrets. Let me indicate again, JR first words out of his mouth when he approached us was indicating the need to not sell us the vehicle & thanking us for coming, I know I was shocked & appalled too. What is more consists of the fact that, at no point in time did JR validate our simple concerns or offer options to try and resolve the issues & proceeded to talk about why he doesn't think we should buy the car, as he put it, "you guys seems to have a lot of problems with the car and I just don't think it's a good idea". This comment was blatantly insensitive & inappropriate & implied that expressing our concerns about a car with several chipped paints (with risks of rusting) & the issue of no oil change in seven months seemed to be unnneccessary & unimportant to JR despite the fact that there's a general rule of thumb, that it's good to change a vehicle's oil every 3,000 miles/3 months, whichever comes first to avoid engine failure as a result of sludge build-up, but due to JR not seeing the relevance and need, he was not open to doing so. After hearing this, I agreed that there was no need to purchase the vehicle and we in fact would not & walked away. JR then came outside as if he was now interested & willing to take a look at the oil himself after seeing that we were no longer going to purchase the vehicle. He still determined that the oil looked fine, yet offered to get it changed. However, this came way after he insulted us & dismissed our concerns and politely declined to sell us the vehicle. Furthermore, we had what started out as a pleasant experience, all thanks to TJ & ended with a painful experience. Overall, I'm thankful that I didn't make the purchase because my time and money wasn't appreciated & JR blew a $50k deal simply because he didn't agree with the need to change the oil. Also, prior to going into the dealership to finalize everything, TJ & I were walking to the vehicle & JR passed by & asked TJ if it was a done deal because he had a customer that was interested. I told TJ his comment was fake & reminded me of a bad pick up line & whether or not there was someone interested or not, it was a rude & disrespectful comment to make & if it was his attempt to put pressure on us to buy the vehicle it didn't work & wouldn't have worked. One would have thought that after having this vehicle for seven months, one would have been willing to try & do all that was needed & reasonable to help meet the customers needs to ensure the sell, but JR did see it that way. Lastly, my suggestion to anyone is purchasing a vehicle from Riverside Buick GMC is, go where you're wanted and appreciated & treated with respect, kindness, & fairness & go where your concerns matters & needs are met. Prior to leaving, we thanked our salesman TJ for all of his help & told him verbatim what the sales manager JR said & how he cost him the sell & advised that someone work with him on his communication & interaction with customers. In hindsight, I should have known better because I had spoken with JR the previous day about a buyer's order & he told me that it was an inconvenience to be "doing all of that" & questioned me about not financing with the dealership. read more

I have been trying for several months to settle my gap insurance refund balance on vehicle I bought from Terry Reid Kia in 2013. I have went by and signed paperwork and still have yet to hear or receive any compensation. I call repeatedly and they say Andrea takes care of that. She must not be a "real" person because you can neither talk to her or receive a return call from your messages left. Guess it is time to call state insurance fraud or whatever to get results. We were looking for a truck and found one a Terry Reid. They let my husband drive it home and keep it for for testing it out. They said if it did not work out he could bring it back with no problem. My husband ended up taking it back because it did not have an electric seat which he needed to get up high enough to see over the hood. We loved the truck except for that. I highly recommend you travel the extra miles and get service from another dealership. My transmission was failing and needed replaced but it took three visits and unnecessary charges before they decided to honor their powertrain warranty and replace the transmission. This is when the real issue started. What I was told was going to be a four day repair turned into a twelve day repair. I ask for a loaner car but none was available so I had to rent a car. When it was time to pay for the rental no one wanted to pay. I had to make a trip to the dealership to speak with the service manager but he just relayed the message to me that they could only pay for three days and I would have to contact GMC if I wanted to be reimbursed more. This would have been good to know information up front rather than after the repairs. I have called GMC three times, because they will not call you back, only to be told they will get back with me after they speak with the dealership. So far I have not been reimbursed any money from Terry Reid and I am still waiting on a call from GMC. This is just basic common courtesy, honor your warranty, you can't loan me car you pay for my rental. read more

That being said, I would not advise buying used from this dealership. The sales girl couldn't answer any questions I had about the car. The listing they had for the car promised rear view camera and the actual vehicle did not have it. She had NO explanation as to why. It even included pictures of the rear view camera in the car listing! And do NOT believe anything Randy Jackson (finance manager) has to say. Not only did he give me false promises, when he failed to follow through, he couldn't even be bothered to answer my phone calls or call me back (after multiple messages left) and say "You know what? We are not going to be able to do that." He continued to make empty and false promises when I caught him on the phone one day. He had no trouble when he was making money off me, but when it came time to come through, he couldn't even treat me with the respect of a customer of the dealership. I will NEVER go to them again. SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS AWFUL. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Terry Reid was by far my WORST vehicle service experience, EVER. They had my vehicle four days, and would not return my phone calls. When I stopped by, they had completed all work without advising me up front what work would be completed and the costs involved. The customer in front of me in line couldn't leave because they lost his keys and no one knew what happened to them. When I went to pick my vehicle up, they said I couldn't have it because the service writer had left for the day and my invoice didn't make sense to them. The person that wrote had left for the day. They literally would not let me have my vehicle because, after a week later and work completion, the services rendered and pricing on the invoice didn't make sense to them. I'm not sure how the dealer not understanding an invoice they wrote should prevent me from having MY vehicle to get to work.
