Arrived at 1:40 next in line. Waited 5 minutes and the man then came out and said they close at 2:00. They would not be able to change my oil. Went to new Valvoline on Sidney Baker and they also closed at 2:00 but they took me right in at 1:55. They were courteous and friendly as well. Thank you Valvoline! We are a three car family and we get ALL of our INSPECTIONS and OIL CHANGES done at this location every year. The guys that work there are extremely honest and very professional. They have our car IDs on file and know exactly what we need as soon as they scan the vehicle ID! The hours are perfect and there is very seldom a wait more than 10 minutes. Stay in the car and they do the rest. If you need a new filter or something, they have it and can replace it. If it's not broke they don't need to fix it. We drive one of our cars up north two or three times a year so we have a special fluid that doesn't freeze in the windshield washer, so they know not to add to it. If your tags are due, let them do the inspection too. read more

RIVERSIDE OIL EXCHANGE Was told it would be a 35 minute wait, but it was well over an hour. John, who said he was the assistant manager, was EXTREMELY RUDE. When I questioned him about my total charge, which was over $10.00 more than what I was told the price would be, and when I questioned him about negative comments I overheard him make about my car and my receipt that says they checked my front & rear lights and wiper blades which is a lie, he got very rude & raised his voice at me & told me "YOU BETTER WATCH YOURSELF"!!!!!!! That is a threat. He has my address, license plate number and phone number. I'm a handicapped female & this is how an Assistant Manager talks to customers! I called all over Kerrville looking for a shop that had nitrogen for tires (our 2013 Jeep Wrangler came with nitrogen in all five tires). Riverside seems to be the only place in Kerrville with nitrogen and the folks there topped off my tires at no charge--even though I wasn't buying anything. These people caused over a thousand dollars of damage to my Volvo. They tore holes in two of my power steering lines. It was leaking very badly immediately after theyd had it. He came back in a couple of minutes and said, "Ma'am, our records show that you still have at least 3,000 miles on your current oil. I took my 2014 VW Beetle TDI in for an oil change this afternoon and had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. 45 minutes after they received information on my car and myself and while parked in the garage, i was informed that they didn't have an oil filter for my car. They did call around and found one at car quest and told me, i could go get it and they would change the oil. ALEX (the manager), told me he would give me 10 dollars off for my trouble. I bought the filter for 15 dollars and returned. After changing the oil ALEX said, ALEX, "Do you want me to check the air filter?" Me, "Well, sure, don't you normally do that anyway?" ALEX, "Yeah, but we don't have the right one for this anyway." Me, "I guess it would have made more since to check it before you sent me to the parts store, Right?" ALEX, "Yeah..." Then when ALEX rang me up, he gave me a discount of 10 dollars but did not take the 15 dollars off, for the filter i purchased. I said, "What about the filter." ALEX, "I gave you a 10.00 discount" Me, "The filter was 15.00 and I had to go get it." ALEX, "Well, that's an expensive filter." Me, "So, it cost me 5 extra dollars, to get my oil changed, since you didn't have it in stock?" ALEX, "Well, if that's the way you want to look at it." Me, "REALLY??? Whatever!!!, You don't have to worry about keeping this filter in stock for me, b/c I won't be back." ALEX, "We have lots of happy customers, I don't care!" Me, "No you don't." I paid, and got in my car to leave I saw him making a sarcastic commit, looking and pointing at me. I rolled down my window my window and said, "Really?" ALEX said, "Yeah, have a nice day." ***NOTE I never saw them check any of my other fluid levels (i was standing in front of my car while ALEX was changing the oil) and received no report on them. read more

Whatever you do, AVOID, this facility. They broke off part of the dip stick in the cylinder and commented "Oh S........, They then informed me that I had to take my car to get fixed because of the problem of the broken material in the cylinder. I advised I saw what happened and that they broke it off, they advised I didn't see that and that I needed to leave the property and that they were not responsible. I asked for the Mgr, turns out, that who was doing the work and telling me I didn't see what I saw. He advised again they weren't responsible, when I asked about the owner, I was told he was Daniel Lee in San Antonio and had no contact info and that the owner could never be contacted. I was ordered to leave the property and did so, although apparently not far enough as they called the police on me. After PD interview, they advised me of my proper Civil Legal Case and how to proceed. Also, PD apologized for such bad business. The business is horrible, Kerrville PD to be commended. read more
