I just have to share yet another fabulous experience with Main Street automotive in Bandera Texas…read more I'll be honest... my trust in automotive shops was 0.0%, maybe even into the negative numbers. Definitely negative experiences. As a short background, I had a Nissan Xterra that sat for nearly 2 years of my driveway, because no one in Bandera could seem to pinpoint what issues were. I even had one shop tell me to "drive it until the wheels fell off", completely, disregarding the fact that this is my only transportation and my safety, and sometimes life, depend upon it. When I totaled my Ranger, I had been so impressed with the work that Main Street had done on it, that I took a huge leap of faith and put the total money into repairing all the mystery ailments of the Xterra. As a surprise for me, the mystery ailments weren't at all a surprise to Main Street and they fixed it beautifully. I always get my oil changed there as they do a bumper-to-bumper review of everything and I'm telling you these people do not tell you you need something that you don't. They will tell you if they see something that you can expect might need attention so you're not blindsided, unlike the other auto shop. They care about my safety. They did me so right on my Xterra when I was just in the worst spot ever. If you want an auto shop that you can honestly trust, I can't recommend them enough. If you live in Bandera, they are on 16 like you're heading to Medina on your left across from K and M auto. They are open on weekdays. They have quite a number of bays so if you make an oil change appointment with you they get you done quick. My Xterra has 222,000 miles on it. It's running better today than when I bought it at 170,000 miles. Thank you, Main Street!!

I recently purchased a used "Gold certified Toyota." Our local Toyota dealer did a poor job on the inspection. After speaking with customer service they refused to rotate my tires and said I'd have to pay the dealership to do so. My daughter contacted Discount Tire and confirmed that they offer complimentary rotation! Even if you did not purchase the tires from them. I drive with peace of mind knowing that there's a discount tire near by. Any tire issues I just drive up or make an appointment online. My vehicle was ready within 45min as they estimated. Great selection of tires to choose from. If they don't have it. They usually can get it within hours or next day and financing is available on the spot.

Had brakes and rotors replaced in Oct. 2025 and cost were just under $1000 dollars. Arrived in South Carolina 5-months later with a bad vibration and had to have them replaced again. Another $1100 dollars. Dealer there stated rear rotors were aftermarket. Checked my receipts for me and confirmed part numbers were not Ford. No warranty from Ford except for manufacturers defects, but I expect factory parts and equipment. Who warranties the aftermarket parts? Not very happy.

Took it back again. They told me it was the tires and they needed to be changed. I changed tires and it still had the vibration. Asked them to do a road force test. They said that they did. When I picked up the truck, they were going to charge me $60 for the road force test. I was going to pay it. They said they waived the charge and took care of it for me. I was grateful. I then asked several times to get the results of the road force test. After several emails and calls later, they have pretty much told me that they had "paying customers" and couldn't be bothered by us because we were a warranty job. They did NOT do the road force test as stated. They have been rude and completely disrespectful. I emailed the store manager, and he blew us off and pushed us off to someone else. I am EXTREMLY UNHAPPY with the dealership, the way we were treated and the attitude that we received.

Outstanding local business!!…read more I had a heck of an afternoon yesterday. Loaded up my old BBQ pit trailer to go cook for 140 National Guardsmen down in Hondo. Had a tire blowout on 46, coming into Bandera. Called my buddy with Lone Star Auto and Diesel, who suggested I call Tripp's. Talked to Cody on the phone. He bent over backwards to help me. He stayed open late, let me bring the tire and rim in, set me up with a brand new tire, and got me back on the road. The price was MORE than fair, too. Cody and the team at Tripp's are the real deal. I highly recommend doing business with them! So much so, that I'm back here a day later to replace the remaining tire on that trailer because, well, it's quite overdue. Well done, y'all. SHOP LOCAL!

I took my Toyota Highlander in for a brake check and a checkup for a trip to Colorado. The brakes were fine, the grinding noise I heard was the ABS kicking in, and the car is good to go.
