I'd never been offered that option at a restaurant before - a very nice touch. The lamb was amazing. Gnocchi was considered a large plate and defiantly enough for a meal. Nice atmosphere. Our server did let us know right away that they were out of three of their entree items. For my meal, I started with the gluten-free soup which comes with gluten-free noodles, and it was really good. However, I didn't really like any of the remaining entrees they had left available, so I decided to order sides instead. The server mentioned that most of the sides are or can be made gluten-free. I chose the creamy mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts, specifically requesting the sprouts without croutons. When the food arrived, the brussel sprouts unfortunately had croutons on them. I pointed it out to the server, and she immediately said she would have them remade for me. While I am very glad I caught the mistake before eating them, it is something to watch out for. Overall, the experience was mediocre.

Within the past week I've visiting Nobel for the last time. Prices notably up again, check. Many new employees, slower service, and uh oh, what's this, the food quality is in the toilet? Couple that with another service by Kelli and her terrible attitude, and things aren't looking great. Portions. Like everywhere else, as I said, at Nobel the prices are up and portions are down. My wife's favorite though, their lobster roll (formerly one of the best I've ever had in the United States, and I travel along the east coast quite a bit), has taken a hit harder than anything else on their menu from what I can ascertain. $31 now, which isn't new, it's been $31 since the beginning of 2026 from what I can remember, but $31 and it's probably 30% smaller than it used to be. For $31 you get a lobster roll that literally looks like a piece of Texas toast folded in half now, a 30% smaller portion of lobster, and if by some off chance you order the side salad, the side salad is also smaller. I can go on about all of the other cuts that are evident, but the $31 lobster roll is about the best display of the dismal direction Nobel House is headed. Sad... Nobel House, you'll be missed.

For burgers - we got the Elotes and the Four Pepper w/ the side salads with dill + mustard vinaigrette. Their salad dressing was quite good and next time (if there is one) I would get their salads - just to try more of the dressings. I say this b/c the burgers were just okay. On paper they sounded much better. I ordered mine medium - and it was definitely more well done. And while we love pretzel roll buns - it was too much bread/bun to the ratio of ingredients. It was impossible to eat w/o a fork and knife. Which you think might not be bad, but it felt like too much. And having the burger too done sort of ruined it. However - if ever in the area - I would stop for the chili and the salad dressings.

We came here for a post-Christmas family celebration with my husband's extended family. The restaurant's atmosphere is very nice. The exposed brick and light fixtures are really cool, modern and just give a nice vibe. The staff was very accommodating, we had three infants/toddlers and they made sure to set up the table to fit the high chairs comfortably. This was a big plus in my book! Extremely family friendly! We ordered drinks, they have $5 house wines, winning. We also ordered apps, and salads. Everything came out timely and was delicious! We ordered pizzas and pasta entrees. I can speak for our pizza specifically...it was great. Nice thin crust, the sauce was sweet, but not too sweet, and had a little spice to it. The sausage and pepperoni was delicious as well. All in all, the pizza was amazing!! They know what they're doing here, the place was full, but not crowded and the staff was clearly very experienced. No issues with our orders or service. If we lived closer, I know we'd be going here a lot more, but we'll definitely try and get out here at least once a year! read more

Great upstairs bar area, I visited there for Live Music. The band was great, funny and entertaining. Amanda helped me out, and wow, she is so friendly and "down-to-earth" unlike many of St Charles people. I didn't know what to order and she jumped right in and asked me my likes and dislikes and then made a suggestion. I settled on the Italian Beef over the Pizza and wow, that was GREAT! I want to thank Amanda for making my visit wonderful. I wish every place in town was as warm and welcoming as how I felt with Amanda. Riverside Pizza and Pub is my favorite place for dinner or just a quick drink with some nice friendly people! Highly recommend going there, ask for Amanda, you won't be disappointed! Our Entire experience was AWESOME!! Friendly staff! Wonderful Service! The Bar manager, Ray Stone took such great care of us. I'm to assume, he must have made over 100+ drinks last Sat for our Group & kept going with a big smile. Thanks again, RAY!!! You Rock!!! PIZZA was AMAZING, just the right portions of meat and the crust was made just perfect. I'm lactose intolerance but that sure didn't stop me. Family get together at a new and hip pizza place in the heart of St. Charles. Staff was very accommodating to our need of three high chairs. They had originally set up four high tables with stools but after we told them what we needed, they had three or four staff members reset our tables. My wife and I knew we were getting pizza, so we ordered a 14" thin crust sausage and pepperoni. It was cooked perfectly, very cheesy, spicy pepperoni, hearty sausage and a tangy sauce...everything a Chicago thin crust pizza should be. They have a great selection of beer and wine as well. We chose this restaurant for our girls night out and what a choice! The staff was super accommodating for our loud party of 8 - sat us right by the window that overlooked the River and city area! I visit one of the locations about once a week, always great staff and experiences. I've never seen the owners at the restaurant however I have met them and they are AMAZING people! Took about 25 minutes for the appetizer to arrive (6 deep fried macaroni bites), and another 10 to get our burgers. Waiter did a very poor job. We asked for a couple different items: spoon, ranch, and he didn't even acknowledge hearing us. He got them and brought them over without saying anything. Knock out service! Excellent Food, great entertainment. I've been there several times now and I just love the place! The pizza is great! but I suggest the Italian beef or the Bacon Cheeseburger. One Problem was it was 90 degrees out, hot and humid, and the CPK lobby with waiting benches was not air conditioned. Rather then stand around we took kids to the toy store and came back in 15 minutes only to find out it's yet another 10-15 minutes wait. I suggest another restaurant but the GKs like CPK. OK. So, I have the 3 grandkids try and cram 3 into one booth bench and they manage to fit. So I flag the host down and say "we can fit the kids into in a booth, so we'll take a booth instead of tables." Nope, can't do that. Even though there's 7 or 8 empty booths, those booths are not available because there's insufficient staff to service the customers. That's a red flag to me, because lack of servers could also mean cold or burned food, wrong orders delivered to the table, stuff forgotten, the litany of what happens when management doesn't really care about keeping the business running like it should. I'm not up for another sweat run outside, so I take my leave to go get hot sandwich at Potbelly's down the block while the grandkids and wife hang around until they can get a table and maybe a server and who knows what kind of food. Ironically, the Schaumburg CPK does not have these kinds of problems. Something is amiss in St. Charles.

Pro Tip: If you order your food online you can save 10% :) I arrive and there was already a few people in front of me ordering pizza slices for lunch. You get that sense that a spot is good when lunch time is already buzzing with people. It was my turn to get order my food and the nice lady greeted me and asked what I'd like for lunch. I told her I wanted a slice of sausage and a side salad. In all my years of eating and ordering pizza slices for lunch I was never given the option of choosing which slice I wanted. This was a pleasant surprise and awesome of CPP to allow me to choose my own slice that I wanted from the warming oven! Between those two things, my order came to $8 and some change. With today's inflation and prices it's extremely difficult to get a good lunch for under $10 but with CCP's prices I was able to achieve this. Again, I was pleasantly surprised. I made my way back to the office with the salad and pizza and dug in. The salad was your standard side salad. It was fresh, cold, and crispy... no issues for me here. I destroyed that and then had some pizza which was still warm after eating my salad. The pizza was good and again no complaints here. So for my final thoughts on CPP, it's good and affordable food. If you're looking for a a place to grab a quick bite without breaking the bank then CPP is the restaurant for you. I'm glad I gave CPP a chance and now I will add them to my rotation of lunch places.

This would have been better if they had dine in but it's just to go so whatever.
