Dr. Kramer is the best! His entire staff was friendly and extremely easy to work with. My wife and I both went for a cleaning and a check up. The waiting area was comfortable and clean. The hygienist and doctor were both gentle and got my cleaning done and quickly and affordably. My wife has to get her wisdom teeth out and we were a little worried about whether we could afford it. The best part is that they really communicated what our options were and worked with us to determine cost before the procedure is done so that you can do what's right for your health and your budget. Our insurance changed so we needed a new dentist, after my husband came in for an appointment months ago, I finally made my appointment. I was very pleased with the warm welcome from the receptionists and then met Dr. Jeffrey Kramer. He was very patient and explained everything throughly, asked how I felt about things and just so nice. His assistant, Blessy and hygienist, Shanna Miranda were both professional and explained every step of the treatment plan. Miguel Calderon, benefits coordinator was also very helpful. Overall my experience today was very pleasant with the whole staff, the beautiful office area, impressed with high tech medical equipment used and also learning of their other specialty physicians in the office too. I went in earlier this month for a routine clean and a referral. Communication leading up to and after my apointment was great. Receptionist was very sweet, welcoming, and attentive while I waited. Dr. Kramer has got to be the gentlest and most caring dentist I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few lately. He continously informed me of what was being done and what he was going to do next. They weren't pushy when it came to extra services. Just informed me of what they believed needed to be done and the fees. I've already made my future appointment and I'm really looking forward to having a permanent office for my dental care. Came here to clean my teeth and get a check up just recently, and had a great experience! I had missed my last check up or two with my old doctor due to moving, so I was very afraid my teeth would be just riddled with cavities. Instead, everything's a-okay! As for the establishment, customer service was excellent and I don't think I've been to a dentist where they've been so transparent about what your x-rays look like, what they're doing, what your options are, ect. Great dental office! I went in to see Dr. Kramer today for an exam and cleaning. I loved that I got to fill out my paperwork online before I got to the office. The front office staff was very nice and got me in quickly. I had do to a deep cleaning which I was a little nervous at first. I used to work at a dental office, so I already felt like I was going to be picky. I decided to look for a new dentist after the dentist I worked for sold her business to another doctor. Well anyways, I went to another place and I was not impressed. I came here 6 months later, and it was a good experience. Maybe not the best, but it was good. I didn't really like that Olga was being pushy. It felt like she was fighting me with my own preferences in dentistry. I apologized to her about the situation, and she did too which I appreciated very much. Well anyways, Dr Jan, the dentist I saw was phenomenal. He was really friendly and understanding. He is definitely a people person. I liked him alot. The front office was nice. The guy was very friendly, and so is Olga. They are very welcoming. Just be careful when they charge you. They may overcharge you. But they will let you know if you have credit which is great. read more

Had an appointment for exam and cleaning at 11:30 and wasn't seen until 12:10. X-rays were taken and was left in a room for another 15 minutes before being seen again. The dental assistant said they were short staffed, which I understand, but wish it was communicated to me earlier. I would rescheduled if I knew I would be this delayed! Was told to expect to be here 60-90 minutes--already surpassing that and haven't even started cleaning yet. Literally 98 minutes AFTER arriving, treatment coordinator come in saying it would be $75 instead of their ADVERTISED $59 new patient special--which Olga also confirmed would be the price for the visit! So disappointed with the visit! The "cleaning", which the staff member told me was "just a polish" LITERALLY LASTED 7 minutes and 48 seconds (yes, I timed it)!! NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH THE VISIT OR WORK! LONG wait, a lot of run around, and inconsistency in their pricing/procedures. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK and will NOT recommend. read more

I hate to give bad reviews on businesses from personal experience but this time is a must. Took more then three weeks to get a root canal,the dentist only"preps" the tooth. There is a endodontists that is contracted not an actual employee and only available once a month when he does root canals. While patients like myself had to walk around with a temporary almost close to a month!!!They are pricey and are in network with my insurance. Over a grand for a root canal. When my old dentist charged 500. Though it is a nice dental office. Their prices are uncalled for. I really wanted to like this place. read more

I went here in May for teeth whitening.. I wouldn't recommend it. My whitening cane out blotchy. I wasn't told this could happen. When the last treatment was applied it was severely noticeable. I had to bring it up and ask why it happened and the woman responded "that's how your teeth are so it enhances it" -____- I paid over 300.00 for blotchy teeth?! It eventually faded. Overall I was not satisfied with my teeth whitening process or longevity.. I felt like in a couple of weeks my teeth were back to how they were before being whitened. Also, the package I purchased came with trays to take home. They had me come back for those because they don't do them in house. I went back 3-4 weeks later, and they had thrown them out. At no point was I told that I had a time limit to pick them up. I'm rarely In riverside, I was very disappointed when I returned to pick them up and they informed me I had to redo them. So I waited, they fit me in redid my molds and on my way I went. This time I requested to be contacted when they were ready. I was never contacted.. so figuring once the 3-4 week mark came they were probably tossed AGAIN! I paid over 300.00 and got blotchy whitening down, and never received my trays.. nor received a phone call as to any explanation as to what happened to the trays and bleach that I paid for. The staff was nice, there just needs to be someone holding them accountable and making sure clients and patients are happy. read more

In Nov. of 2016, I became a patient of Dr. Kramer. I needed an urgent appointment do to a broken tooth. Although they did not know me, they made me feel welcomed. They gave me an appointment for the next day. Prior to arriving, I was able to complete a detailed medical history online. I found this procedure to be extremely helpful, informative, and very professional. In the past, I have been afraid of the dentist. Since meeting Dr. Kramer and his staff, I have become more relaxed about my visits. Dr. Kramer is very professional, and personable. I have found that Dr. Kramer has a very light and gentle touch. He has restored my broken tooth, cleaned my teeth, created a crown, and completed some restoration after a root canal. I have found that Dr. Kramer uses the newest materials, newest software, and technology. This advanced equipment allows his office to offer many unique services. For example, cerec cad/cam ( an advanced digital 3D camera) is used to form the 3D impressions which are used by an on-sight machine to create an instant crown. The best crown that I have ever seen. From the moment I check-in, I always receive a warm welcome. I like how professional, efficient, and quick the staff is. At the same time, they take the time to chat, and explain anything you wish to discuss. The staff and the doctor always make an effort to make me comfortable before, and during the treatment. For example, I was offered a blanket for my back, while sitting at the patient chair. One of my favorite features is the ability to watch cable Tv while I am receiving treatment. They have monitors attached to each patient chair with a remote for the Tv. Finally, I would like to touch upon the fact that Dr. Kramer's staff is very professional in dealing with the payment portion of my visits. Haven't been to the dentist in years and they took very good care of me. I love the staff. As soon as I walked in Olga , who was the manager, welcomed me with a hand shake and a smile, offered me a seat and water. Miguel who I believe was the benefit coordinator checked me in, and assured me I would be seen soon. I was on a tight schedule so being seen on time was perfect. What was very helpful was checking in online and confirming my appointment before hand so I didn't have to do much when I arrived. Blessy was an amazingly sweet, she took my X-rays and polished my teeth. She was very gentle and fast with the X-rays which was great because I'm sure we all know how uncomfortable it is bitting down on those things they insert in your mouth. I'm self-employed contractor with a solid professional track record. I'm in Obamacare's DeltaCare USA HMO plan, assigned to Riverside Plaza Dentistry (RPD). I checked Yelp, in hindsight, RPD seems to have all positive solicited reviews. So I call RPD for a basic cleaning and their online registration form asks what I do for a living and to mark if I'd be interested in paying higher fees for higher tech. First red flags of possible overtreatment/undertreatment. At their office, on 3/1/17, the staff is too friendly, too soon, they ask about my job, am I single, etc. More red flags. Am I at a car dealership? Their x-ray machine, too fancy, a scheme to impress and earn your trust. High-tech does not equal ethics and professionalism. Above norm scary posters around you. One shows stages between Gingivitis all the way to Periodontitis linking the conditions to more scarier symptoms. One symptom has only one reference. Dr. Jeffrey A. Kramer shows up, quietly probes my gum pocket's depth. 100% percent of dentists I've seen count out loud, e.g., "2 (millimeters), 3, 2...". When he's done, he utters "fours" to his assistant. I interject, "sorry, what were my numbers?". "Oh, all 4s, mostly." This is a first, nothing has changed with my dental hygiene since the last time a dentist saw me in early Dec. He tries to justify a deep cleaning plan. I say I want a basic cleaning and to email me his treatment plan. I want a second opinion. He accepts and leaves. Their "Benefits Coordinator" shows up and hard sells me. Her estimated patient cost came out at $1,117! I welcome her to the conversation, inform her about what I told Kramer. She throws in temp discounts and financing hooks. She finally listens, hands me a print-out and a "let's get you into debt" finance brochure with stock image photos of diverse people (sick). Kramer returns for my cleaning. He dinks around with an ultrasonic toy to "vibrate plaque away." Not five minutes pass before he says he's done. I explain what a reasonable cleaning feels like from my 26 years of experience going to a dentist, which includes using a scalar. He says that would cause pain, only in the treatment plan would I be numbed to not experience it, but alright. I ask him to be reasonable. He goes in with the scalar, *unreasonably* starts hurting me applying too much force. I let him know he needs to dial it down. He goes softer, for a bit, asks "like this?", and digs in hard. All, while he chuckles and his assistant giggles over me with this "see, we told you so" attitude. He puts up a mirror to show me how much I was bleeding even if he touched me gently. I call out the assistant for failing to rinse me. Of course, it looks like I'm bleeding out after he hurt me! I grasp that mirror and challenge him to go at it *softly*, again. Only *now* that I'm watching, is he reasonable. Still, the assistant does a lousy job of suctioning the water backing up in my mouth. Two more minutes of that torture, I gesture we're done, and Kramer asks his aid to finish up. She goes straight to a polish and leaves out teeth. I point this out. Again with the naive "oh, like this?", "right here?" attitude. She proceeds to floss me terribly, snaps and digs the floss in, further hurting me. I immediately cut her off and tell her we're done here, more giggles from her, like I'm on board with them. Next morning, I seek an unbiased second opinion: I told them nothing about the day before at first. This dentist counted all 2s and 3s for my gum depths *out loud*. I asked if she was sure there weren't any 4s. She says I would get a couple 4s if she really dug in, a little inflammation, but nothing to worry about after brushing those areas. I asked for a treatment plan, she says a basic cleaning would suffice at $88! I tell her about my cleaning the day before, she says stuff was left over. I presented RDS's treatment plan, which angered her. I mentioned their abuse/naivete and she called them assholes (my new fav dentist). I left this doctor and her assistant to discuss my case. The assistant later informs me the treatment plan RDS proposes is for someone with 6mm pockets, exuding puss! Further, RDS was recommending a "fluoride varnish-fm", which you only recommend to people with high risk of cavities. The only thing both parties repeatedly agreed on was that "I have beautiful teeth." My new doctor's assistant further mentioned they seemed to have been so infatuated with selling me on gum cleaning they missed cleaning correctly above the gumline! I'm now convinced the HMO demographic is a perfect and vulnerable target for these dental groups to prey on. Their excuse is that they don't get paid enough by HMOs per head so have to resort to this crap to cover their costs (oh, like that unnecessarily fancy x-ray machine?). F--k you and get out of the business, or propose a change. Otherwise, the only intent I see is predatory; walk out on & report them on Yelp & BBB, nothing more. read more

I'm giving Riverside Plaza Dentistry 5 stars! I came in as a new patient 10/3/2017 for a check-up and teeth cleaning. My insurance had just changed so I was nervous for my upcoming appointment; especially since my last dentist was amazing and its hard to find a good dentist. Well that day I arrived 30 min late and they greeted me like I got there 15 min early! Everything was nice and modern and the receptionist was very organized and welcoming. They got started with x-rays, and DR. JAN explained I had a cavity and he would need to do a root canal He explained in great detail what a root canal was and answered any questions I had. He started that day putting in a temp and when I came back I got the full treatment plus my cleaning and the appointment was so smooth the whole time. Even after they had the courtesy to call me to see how I was doing with my root canal. FYI I only had a little soreness the next day ONLY WHILE EATING. I know going to dentist for some people is nerve-racking but everyone at Riverside Plaza Dentistry was amazing. Happy to call them my new Dentist! read more

In my recent experience at Riverside Plaza Dentistry I found that the staff seems to be highly unorganized. One of the Hygienists declined to schedule me for a regular cleaning and told me that a regular cleaning "was unnecessary" and stated it only polished the outside of my teeth and was very pushy about an expensive deep cleaning. Which is weird because she has never once actually looked in my mouth. Also the Kicker as to why I felt empowered to write a review on YELP is that after I had paid in full all amounts owed, the office still continued to charge me on my debit card. After asking them to please refund the money they told me that they could not help me and that someone will call me in a few days. To say the least I am not impressed with they way the staff handles patient care and billing. The Dentist is the sweetest Dentist I have ever meet but I'm not so sure he is aware about how the staff is running "lack of running" his office. :( read more

I gotta say from the very moment I walked in, a young man by the name of Miguel greeted with the most welcoming vibe I've ever had in a dentist office. His assertion and attentiveness was as effective as it could possibly get. I was checked-in in no time and he treated me like I was at home!
