Great Saturday lunch with some friends from New Hampshire who were visiting. First time to eat inside as I have only enjoyed the outside dining and carryout. Outside was full given the beautiful day. I will tell you the inside is a great place to enjoy a meal as well. I had the Cuban and it was a good one. The fries were awesome. One of my friends had a crab cake sandwich and loved it. The other one had a special, the short rib grilled cheese I believe, and enjoyed it as well. We started with a crab dip and I was impressed. Riverside is always a great place to stop. First of all, yes to the dog friendly outdoor seating with water & treats for pups! Secondly, online ordering and takeout were a breeze with Riverside Taphouse. I love love loooved my cream of crab soup in pretzel bowl from them that was loaded with veggies, lump crab, and had only a few shells in it. The truffle cheese to dip hand cut fries in was also delicious. The duck fat fried donut holes were also a huge hit. This is for sure my new favorite place for cream of crab soup, at the moment and I love the uniqueness of the chunky celery, potatoes, and carrots in it with perfect seasonings to compliment everything. Tasty bar food with a twist, but small portions. Riverside Taphouse just opened recently. They were open for indoor and outdoor dining, but I got takeout. Food was ready in about 20 minutes. Staff was friendly and fully masked. I ordered the bacon Mac and cheese eggrolls, the bistro steak sandwich with upgraded Brussels sprouts, and the duck fat fried donut holes. The Mac and cheese egg rolls were delicious! Crispy, creamy, cheesy. So good that my boyfriend saw them and actually called up to order another set! I would get that again or try their other egg rolls. Comes w/ 2, split in half and a tomato soup dipping sauce. For my entree, I got the bistro steak sandwich but as a wrap. The steak was tender and well seasoned. However, I upgraded from fries to Brussels sprouts. While they were delicious, there were about 4 Brussels sprouts, see photo. For a $1.50 upcharge, I expected a nice sized portion, this was disappointing. Similarly, for dessert I got the donut holes. While they were also delicious - sprinkled w/ cinnamon sugar and served w/ a sweet syrupy wine sauce, the portion was small. At $6 for 5 donut holes, I was disappointed there weren't at least 6! Overall, everything I got was tasty and cooked well, but I wish the portions were about 1.3x bigger. My wife and I found this gem while driving aimlessly around the federal hill and cross street areas. We are glad that we did! As is the case with most neighborhood type of bars/restaurants in this area parking can be challenging. In fact the reason we finally chose Riverside is because there was a parking space right out front. There are plenty of signs that identify the establishment so finding it won't be difficult in the future. As we approached there were dog treats and water for those who have 4 legged friends. We were seated promptly and our server was quick to bring water to our table. All the tables are high top bar style tables and with backless stools. Numerous TVs throughout ensure you'll be able to see the game no matter where you're seated. I had a house margarita that had a grand Marnier float. It was good. My wife and a spicy margarita and enjoyed it. I got gator sauced wings as an entree. The wings were ok. I'm not sure if I'd make a special trip here for the wings but they were good enough. My wife had the lamb cheese steak. AMAZING. It was paired with brussel sprouts and both were really good! I'd definitely make a return trip for those items! Our server was kind, helpful and prompt. The vibe was of a sports bar/taphouse as intended. It was pretty loud but that was expected. The restroom was small but clean. This place is a winner. read more

I would say 3.5, i went to Riverside Taphouse a couple of weeks ago, i remember it being decent not bad at all. I of course ordered the truffle lamb cheesesteak kinda pricey but it was different, so i ordered it. It was nice, i recall the bread being really good. I think i ordered a mule to drink, not a bad spot to enjoy an easy brunch or lunch. I think my cousin ordered waffle and chicken tenders. read more

Loved visiting Riverside for the first time (and definitely wont be my last). The wait staff was super attentive, recommend great beers to the group, and made some awesome food recommendations. I'm a sucker for poke bowls and/or sushi so when I saw the Tuna Nachos on instagram I knew I had to check this place out. Overall the the tuna tasted great and you got a bite with a spicy mayo drizzle*chefs kiss.* The only small complaint that I had about the experience, was I wish that the bread for the crab dip was sliced and you didn't have to pull it apart. I wanted the slices to be toasted to hold the amount of crab dip that I *want* to be able to put on my bread. I've only been here once but it definitely felt like a solid place - it was packed on a weekday night and everyone seemed to be having a good time, it felt like there were definitely some regulars here which is always a mark of a good bar/restaurant! Stopped for a Monday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Helen our waitress gave excellent recommendations. The Crab Egg rolls with a sweet and spicey chili sauce was phenomenal. Maryland Crab soup was well done with a good amount of crab and the veggies were fresh. Easy to overcook soup but this was on point. Can't stop thinking about the ahi tuna nachos from Riverside that I ate last night! They were loaded with tuna and pineapple, topped with sriracha aioli and wasabi aioli and the chips were made on wontons! We had such a great experience - our waiter was extremely attentive and courteous, bringing us a heat lamp once it cooled down, helping our group that was separated into three large tables, and serving us great food quickly. The food was great! I've been wanting to try it for awhile after seeing it all over the local Foodie's instagrams. I will say the service wasn't super amazng, I stood there for maybe 1-2 mins before anyone acknowledged me even though a staff member saw me walk in as she was rolling silverware, but it was quick after that as the food was ready. I would choose not to dine in at this time as it did feel fairly crowded, but takeout worked well. For food we shared the ahi tuna nachos, which were my favorite part of the meal and I'd definitely order again! I got the lamb cheesesteak with a side of Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese was a little dry by the time we ate it so I'd like to try it again in the restaurant when things are normal again to see. The lamb cheesesteak was great, but again the cheese part had hardened a bit. Flavor was different and yummy, plus on a Dough Boy Fresh pretzel. My husband and I discovered this place during a day out; we were hungry and in search of a good meal. This place did not disappoint. We were able to walk in and be seated right away. The seating/bar area is cute and comfortable; there are TVs and ample seating. We both ordered cocktails. I had a spicy margarita while my husband had an old fashioned. I did not try his drink, but I thought my drink was good... it just lacked that spicy kick that one is looking for when ordering a spicy drink. For our meals, we ordered the lamb cheesesteak (for me) and wings (for him). The food was delicious! The white truffle cheesesteak is amazing; I was worried about the cheese sauce because I tend to just like traditional cheese on my sandwiches. However, it all worked so well together. I chose brussels as my side option, and they were also very tasty. My husband enjoyed his wings and fries; I believe the gator sauce is their spiciest option so that worked well for him. The service was a 5 and the menu is pretty great. Unfortunately the food was a near-miss, just not as well executed as I hoped - I give the food a 3 with potential for much higher score I got the lamb cheesesteak with side salad, she got the Ahi Tuna nachos and we split the brussel sprouts side. Lamb is tricky, sometimes it can be fantastic and sometimes it can be too strong. This time it was too strong to be great but still pretty good and the roll was great. I didn't have any trouble finishing it but would probably not get it again. Based on all the other reviews I've seen I have to believe that sometimes it's better than what I got. The side house salad was really fresh but swamped in WAY too much dressing so I could only get through about half of it even though it isn't a big salad. The nachos we're good but very rich with too much of the aioli/ mayonnaise for me. Overall I was glad that I came and definitely want to come back to try other menu items and give it another chance. I'm still really impressed with the menu, it's so much more interesting than typical bar food. read more
