Nasir was so accommodating I decided he would be my jeweler going forward. Fast forward to yesterday evening. I pulled up to M&S at the very last minute in need of a birthday gift for very dear friend & Mohamed was pulling down the gate to close. I told him in my kindest voice that rushed over to pick out a very important gift. Being the sweet older gentleman he is. He unlocked the doors & let me in. He pulled out 6 different trays of gold chains understanding that I was looking for the perfect one. I kept Mohamed there for 30mins after closing time tryna to decide between two beautiful gold chains. Mohamed gave his opinion when asked & I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with him. Me & my friend agreed that it was the absolute perfect gift for his birthday. And I wouldn't have gotten 20.8 grams of 10kt Gold without Mohamed's amazing guidance. I was required to open a line of credit in order to place an order. After doing so, the store never actually placed my order. I was repeatedly given the runaround--first being told the order had been placed, then being told it hadn't. At one point, staff couldn't even locate my account, despite the fact that they opened it. When I asked to close the credit account due to their mistakes, they refused, yet still asked if I wanted to continue purchasing a ring with them. That alone speaks volumes about their priorities. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic organization was shocking. This process was stressful, time-consuming, and deeply disappointing. Engagement ring shopping should be exciting and meaningful--not riddled with confusion and frustration. I would strongly advise others to think twice before opening a credit account or trusting this store with something as important as an engagement ring. This is the 3rd time I've dropped my wedding ring and band off for repair. It was at this point I was told the type of prongs on my ring are prone to breaking, why this information wasn't disclosed before we purchased the ring, I have no idea. At least we would have known what to expect. Furthermore, they told me the ring would take 2 weeks to fix. I allowed 2.5 weeks to pass and heard nothing. I called them and they let me know they sent my ring to a platinum specialist, which would have been no issue had they set the expectation of the timeline for return, which was 1 month. This was a red flag because my ring had never gone to this platinum specialist the other 2 times it broke. So my guess is they were fixing the ring with the wrong material. After 1 month passed, still no ring. It's been two months and counting and I STILL don't have my ring back. As a person who loves their ring and values customer experience I am highly disappointed with the lack of communication of this store. I will be filing a formal complaint with Corporate and perhaps the BBB. To add, I was told I was not the only person waiting for their ring to come back. Which tells me this is a very known issue and not an isolated situation.
