I really like this cafe for the most part. I moved from Chicagoland out here and there aren't many Starbucks locations in the area (my favorite place to go for coffee). Riverwalk has provided a great atmosphere and great tasting coffee. They are a little pricier than what I would want to pay on a consistent basis but going here every once in a while is a treat. My husband and I went for one of their nights of free live music and it was great. Not crowded at all. The only negative thing I have to say about Riverwalk is their customer service. The girls that work there are usually pretty nice. When we were there for the live music, no one came by our table to even give us water but all the tables around us were getting served. When one of the employees passed by we stopped her to ask if anyone was going to serve us or if we had to go to the bar to order (asked genuinely as this was our first time visiting for live music and later at night). She wasn't very friendly with the response and it felt as if we were annoying her. Typically, during the mornings or weekends for coffee the cashiers are not friendly either. When I say "Hello! How are you?" or "Good morning!" I expect a response of some kind. I've done this on two separate occasions (to the same person) and he literally just stares at me and doesn't respond. Not even a smile or acknowledgement that I said anything. I brought my empty cup to the counter one time to drop it off before I left and when I gave it to them the gentleman gave me a look like I was a crazy person. I've been to Riverwalk twice now and both times was to see my friend and his band (Willie J. Laws Band). It's a cute venue and the food isn't horrible, I just wish I could dance when I'm there. I also had to buy an extra shot of vodka to add to my drink because my lemon drop tasted really watered down. My husband didn't have any issues with his burger or beer but those are hard to mess up. I, on the other hand really disliked my asian bowl with tofu. The tofu was extremely dry and overcooked and the other ingredients were cold and soggy. The two sauces served to pour on the bowl were equally nasty. I stopped eating after a couple of bites. I was still hungry so I ordered the potstickers, those were surprisingly delicious. I guess the bowl is the only thing on the menu that isn't executed well. Stick to burgers, salads wine and beer and you should be fine. read more

This is my place to get a good daily cup of coffee in Nashua. Fresh roasted coffee in a nice setting with friendly staff and a good mix of customers. Indoor/Outdoor tables in a small setting conducive to conversation. It can get a little crowded during the weekends but a little wait in line is worth it. I've tried this place three times, because my first experience was good...and then it only went down hill from there. P.s this review is strictly based off of breakfast. Trip 1 - I ordered a PB banana shake and two raspberry bars from their bakery, all very delicious and the service was good. Trip 2 - I ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee.. I waited over 20 minutes for my sandwich while the staff was socializing on the phone.. I checked on my order twice (there was only 1 phone order before my order - nobody in person), with no success.. it took so long that I ended up having to leave without my sandwich. Trip 3 - I ordered a coffee, and politely asked how long a sandwich would take and explained what had happened last time.. I was assured a 5 minute wait and received my coffee. The time was accurate which was nice, I was a little upset about not being compensated for my previous sandwich order (but ok)... the final straw? Coffee grinds all up in my coffee... sorry but I will not be going here again! Not worth what I'm paying for my breakfast. read more

My daughter and I grab breakfast down here on sunny weekends. She loves the strawberry smoothie ( a healthy version of a frozen treat- no dairy in this though), and she also orders an egg and bacon croissant. I prefer either an iced coffee (smooth, not watered down, great cold brew taste) and a veggie and egg biscuit, hold the ranch. The biscuits are savory and flaky, like a good baking powder biscuit with added onion and cheese. Love them! There's always a long line and it can be as pricey as a sit down breakfast at The City Room, but we love being able to eat outside, the bright Italian pottery and people watching. Since my initial review, I've been to Riverwalk at least a half-dozen times in the evening for musical treats and a damn good craft brew (or two). Can't speak for their coffee or daytime trade but I CAN vouch for their excellent musical offerings, the excellent waitstaff and their interesting (but somewhat limited) tasty menu. If you haven't been there yet, you are missing an absolute little gem! The acoustics are fab! If you dig live music and don't mind when they aren't charging a cover...yup! Many shows are FREE and in turn you should be generous with your server...then you gotta check this place out! Who needs Cambridge and Boston, anyway? Has a very nice atmosphere. I got a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was very good, but the breakfast sandwich was very disappointing. The impression I got from the sandwich was that they were trying to be a little too fancy or "gourmet". The bread that they used was extremely dry, to the point that I needed to keep drinking so that I could finish the sandwich. In the defense of the place though, I haven't had a good breakfast sandwich since I moved from NJ, so in the grand scheme of things, I have to give them points for trying. Although I would rate Riverwalk 3.5 if I could, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since the food I ordered can't be found in quality form anywhere in the area anyway. Every time I have come here I really enjoy it! From the great coffee and latte options to the homemade biscuit breakfast sandwiches- this place has it all. I went here for a light lunch. It was my first time at the Riverwalk. I went in around noon, and as expected it was pretty busy. There were always 2 or 3 tables available while I was there. It's a pretty big place inside, but it was a bit crammed. I kind of didn't mind it, but it was noticeable. Anyway, I got the bagel with the lox, red onions and capers on it (I forgot the exact name of it). It took a little longer than I expected a toasted bagel to take, but like I said, it was lunch time so I understand. The food came to my table with someone walking around with my plate saying my name. The sandwich itself was wonderful. Most places under toast the bagel. This was just right, not burned, and not still soft but warm. Crunchy! The presentation was a little sloppy. I wish the capers and onions were put on first because they kept falling off while I was trying to eat. The capers are my favorite part of that sandwich. Feel free to push those into the cream cheese so the sandwich doesn't loose it's needed salt, please. All in all, it was a very pleasing experience and I will definitely be returning. read more

This staff is new to bar work but are passionate and friendly to boot! The food is revival of what it means to be a eclectic and unique. Holey Moley! I love this place. Their large peanut butter cup latte (or what I like to call the hot tub time machine size latte") is fantastic. I'm a true coffee addict and I'll drink that cup until my hand shakes....and I do. The people behind the counter are friendly and know their stuff. I've also tried their breakfast sandwiches as well as their fruit and granola. Satisfying and yummy! It's such a great place to come with a friend(s) or to catch up on your people watching skills. read more

I usually go after ecstatic dance so arrive around 10pm on Friday night. At that time, they only serve pastries and chips (kitchen is closed) which is fine for us! We usually sit in the room off to the side of where the bar is and where the band plays. It's a little quieter and usually hardly any people so very easy to talk and chat. Service is fairly slow here as a standard. For getting ready-made pastries that do not need to be heated, it's a bit unusual, but we are aware and used to it now. Service is typically hit or miss. Not warm or friendly here. Usually they have a hard time hearing us place our order since the only register is behind the bar which is in the same room as the band and it gets fairly loud and cramped in there. There are typically some obvious drunk guests in that room enjoying the music. Several times we have been asked to leave at 11pm (which is their closing time) however most recently we were not asked to leave until midnight. The band didn't finish playing until after 11pm. In addition, there was a friendly waitress circulating the room we were in which is unusual. She asked us more than once if we needed anything, cleared our plates and also gave two in my party free waters. I have been once for a mid-afternoon lunch and enjoyed my mushroom sandwich (the Classy Shroom.) Maybe a little too much shroom for me but mostly good. A little disappointed that there are no side options included or advertised with any of the sandwiches. Did not enjoy the mac and cheese so much. Would've been better if I made it myself. Apparently they reheat it for you after you order. Just meh. Overpriced. They technically offer dinner but the dinner items look like lunch and they stop serving it a bit early. All in all, you will probably be satisfied if you're looking for typical cafe fair or dessert only. If on a date and planning to listen to music, have dinner elsewhere first! read more

This place is awesome. They definitely prioritize the music over say convo/ambience, but I'm into that. If you want to come to talk, then I'd probably recommend researching the type of music being played to be sure it's not gonna "ruin your evening" OR coming early when there isn't a show in progress. That aside, personally this is my go to place to have a night out in Nashua. The music has been great but that's not the only reason I come. Everything has been fine here on both visits, and my son loves the Bacon Egg and Cheese on a croissant. Took my parents the second time, and they enjoyed it. They said they would be back. I've had the burrito with the olives and sausage and all the other good stuff on both occasions. Phenomenal. The staff could be a bit livelier....The guy on my first visit was so quiet and soft spoken. The girl on my second visit, same thing. I could barely hear what she was saying, and she wouldn't speak up the entire time, even after asking her to repeat herself several times. But, overall good experience, and I'll be certain to tell friends and family and I will be returning soon. Only one major con, the tap water tasted like absolute disgusting sludge.
