The wife and I had lunch at the Riverwalk Inn. It is a small quaint place, a hotel with a restraunt that serves breakfast and lunch. We were greeted and had to wait for 5 minutes for our table as they were full. Sat down and went to order our food, we both had the grilled ham and cheese. This is the first grilled ham and cheese with cream cheese as the cheese and let me tell you, it was great. It came with pickles and chips. The service was not the fastest but it was friendly. Ate here 2 days in a row. Breakfast scrambles are tasty. They have gluten free udi's bread, gf waffles, gf corn tortillas, and a gf/vegan pancake. King Carb tried the lox bagel sandwich and liked it. Burrito he gave a 7. Place is on the small side and the food takes a little longer than you'd expect. The iced coffee is not good. As a plus, it's next to the riverwalk and a park so you can hang there with antsy toddlers if need be. Also has nice patio seating. read more

Guess my experience was different than others. Be aware you pay up front.... even if you are sitting down they won't take your order. Even after 20 minutes of sitting there... we asked. They were nice... but the florentine was very salty. The friendliness is what saved it, but in all fairness I went there for the high reviews.... feel others should know to plan 1-1 1/2 hours there and getting up to get all of your own coffee, water, and ordering. read more

Ate here both mornings while staying at the inn - probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise. We will definitely come back here for breakfast even if we're not staying there - it was great. The food was excellent, not greasy, well priced, and there were a a lot of options - even gluten free waffles, pancakes, and toast. Seating is limited and its an order at the bar, which makes it convenient, low pressure, and more relaxing. We had the blueberry pancakes and avocado egg toast! So delicious! They make their own bread and it was perfect. The coffee and orange juice were great too. My husband and I had lunch here and it was so good we came back for breakfast the same week while we were in Chelan on vacation. The location is adorable, the service is very good with staff that seem to genuinely care about the food and customers and the food was extremely fresh and tasty. They also had a number of vegetarian offerings, which I was very happy about. You order at their counter and they bring your food to you. Nice setup for breakfast. No reservations, but you can walk in, give your name, get a great cup of coffee or "adult" morning beverage. Then you can wander into a nice little lounge and start a game you can bring to your table. Menus and set ups await you. The menus offer great fresh choices. I strongly recommend the burritos. My family member who is picky about them said the poached eggs and hollandaise were done just right and everything was really very good. The maple syrup was real and you can watch them actually pressing the fresh squeezed orange juice. While you do place your order at the counter and get your own coffee and water refills, your food is served and dishes are cleared for you at your table. Found this spot thanks to Yelp off the Main Street of Chelan. Nice, quaint atmosphere with friendly service and surprisingly good food. I had the waffles with the strawberry compote and it was fantastic. There is no tableservice, you look at the menu and order from the counter, then the food is brought to you. It made for a cozy atmosphere that felt more like dining at a friends house rather than a busy restaurant. Another big plus was the number of gluten-free options. We live in Chelan, and, in the name of full disclosure, my daughter works at the RWI. Having said that, this is far and away the best breakfast in town. They use farm fresh eggs, nitrate free bacon and all items are deliciously prepared. They are a bunch of "foodies" and it shows.
