Always a line, taking you on a strategic tour of their impressive pastry display, but it moves quickly, and we didn't have any trouble finding a spot outside even though they were busy both mornings. Drip coffee was very decent. Service was minimal (counter service only, grab your own plasticware and coffee, but they'll bring out your food). Breakfast tacos looked good. I think that there were really only one or two vegan/vegetarian options on the menu, but probably quite a bit could be modified to meet dietary needs. One of the few breakfast places in town, so I understand they get pretty darn busy in the summer months, so plan accordingly for your visit. read more

We visited the Riverwalk Cafe after a fishing trip to Lake Chelan and really enjoyed it. We had the Harvest Scramble and Besto Bagel and can recommend both. Very good food - including the accompanying bread and fruits - with a healthy, natural focus. We will be back, for sure. read more

I ordered the station 7 burrito which came with sausage and onions, and it was delicious!! I recommend getting the red salsa inside. Definitely get the roasted potatoes instead of fruit. I ate the entire thing and was absolutely stuffed. It was $11 with the potatoes. The coffee was great too! We went here two days in a row it was so yummy! Mildly inedible. For $13 a sandwich, it was gross. Three of us each ordered one and all were terrible. Two were so burnt we had a hard time cutting with a steak knife, and one somehow took the color off the paper liner in the to go box and the bottom of the bagel was dyed red. We're locals, and a bit disappointed with our breakfast. The new management is clearly not providing the quality breakfasts of last year's owners. Today's example of failure: 1. Cutlery. I've handled cheap forks and knives, but their cutlery is horrible. Stamped out of sheet metal. Using the knife, I cut myself on the handle side, not the blade side. Very flimsy. Come on, for the price of a $40 breakfast for two, you can afford better cutlery. 2. Food. My scramble was just that, a "scramble' and nothing else. No bread, no fruit, no side items,.. nothing. Just a plate of food dumped in the middle. I felt like saying Woof, woof, in thanks. 3. Cold Food. My plate was mediocre warm, and my wife's was stone cold. I realize you might be using seasonal, untrained held, but this is unacceptable. Note the intro picture shows fruit, and a slice of nice hearty dely bread. If you have 45 minutes to wait for your food this is a good place to eat. The food-pork quesadillas, were good, cupcake had a strange flavor in the icing. The service and wait time were terrible. I understand they were short staffed. However, the staff should have warned customers that the wait was long --45 minutes. We were not the only disappointed customers. As others complained as well. (They do have these things, just a healthier and pretentious version). They have a variety of wraps, scrambles and healthy plates. I ordered the bagel sandwich. It was served on a rosemary bagel, which in my opinion; made the sandwich way better. The sandwich had cream cheese, sharp cheese, one egg and bacon. (I had it minus the rooster sauce and cilantro). The absolute best place for breakfast! When I am in town it's an every day love affair. The homemade bagels and bacon are the best I've ever had, and they are happy to customize a sandwich your way. They source their ingredients locally and as fresh as possible, and it is evident in the taste. This is a family owned and operated establishment and everyone goes out of their way, very hospitable and friendly. It came with warm maple syrup and was definitely my top 3 best French toast I've had! I appreciated the thick slice that didn't get soggy, it also had great flavor without being too sweet. The food and service was great, although you order at the counter and self serve coffee/water. Price was very reasonable and coffee was great! Two words: avocado toast. I'm a huge fan of avocado toast, especially when it's turned into a full on meal. Riverwalk's smashed avo comes on a delicious piece of bread (I believe it's made in the cafe!) and two eggs with tomato on top. I forgot to order my eggs over hard - they come over medium, and even though I don't really like yolk, I still enjoyed my meal. The toast also came with a small size of fruit and a side of some home fries, which was awesome considering I wasn't expecting the fruit! I also ordered a glass of their juice of the day, since I heard they have amazing options. I love real juice, and this one was no different! It was spinach, bell peppers, carrot, pineapple, and apple, and sooooo delicious. It was $7, a pretty steep price for a pint of juice, but I enjoyed it! The cafe is inside a super cute building that doubles as an inn. The outside has some cute seating, but it isn't super shady so I can see myself getting too hot when eating outside during the hotter months. I did get a little stressed, though, with ordering (sounds silly). You order at the counter then seat yourself, but there wasn't any seating for our five person group, so we had to wait for a table to free up before we could order. I'm sure it's usually fine, but with such a small cafe (seats probably 40 people max inside and out), it was stressful since it's hard to anticipate when others will be leaving. Tried the Vegan Hash w hollandaise and it was delicious. Definitely normal size portion not an overwhelming amount of food but I would come back again. They are food sensitivity friendly and subbed corn tortillas for bread since they didn't have a g-free vegan bread. Not vegan just allergic to eggs, dairy and wheat so nice to have options! The server got very upset and went to complain to someone inside that ended up coming out and yelling at us for being rude. Mind you, we were not the ones even talking to the server. I don't really see a big problem in this because the environment is warm and inviting and you can just sit and enjoy a cup of FREE coffee! Stopped here for breakfast. The place has that cabin-like feel to it, but the menu is more downtown Portland (tons of vegan, gluten-free options). No real waitstaff because you order at the window and the food then gets brought to you. Tried the watermelon lime mimosa which used fresh squeezed fruit but was a little heavy on the lime. Drip coffee was decent and is self serve. For food we tried the pesto burrito, which was a little heavy on the pesto and a bit salty for my tastes. Riverwalk Florentine was good - the hollandaise sauce is dairy free, which meant it had a slightly chunkier consistency than normal but it was still flavorful (and I didn't miss the dairy). The eggs were cooked to where the white was fully set and the yolk was starting to thicken. Bacon was ok - not quite as flavorful as I like but to be fair I prefer them to have a touch of brown sugar glaze for a little more sweetness. All the dishes came with a side of fresh fruit. Overall a solid breakfast choice in Lake Chelan. Get there early to avoid the line! read more

Stopped in for breakfast (since we are staying at the Inn) and enjoyed a 25% discount on breakfast food. Everything was just delicious and fresh. We had a variety of choices - there are 4 of us and each had something different - and there were no complaints. Wish there was a kid menu since my children are 4 and do not each such large portions but my husband cleared their plates happily. They claim to use the freshest ingredients and it definitely tastes so. Will be back for more during our stay ... Have been here several times. Most of the food is decent, but not anything special. French toast and waffle are good. The bacon is consistently too hard and over-cooked. You go to a counter to order, then they bring your food out. It's always busy and on the slower side, especially if you want outside seating. The location is nice. Right across from a park. Unfortunately, sitting outside means you're bombarded by bees. We've had this trouble the past two years and it's just not worth the constant harassment. They have signs about the bees so they clearly know it's an issue. Maybe we'll give it a try again in a few years. read more

Popular place in Chelan but didn't find it worth my time. Order inside then find a table - no problem with that, but as a result staff don't know the menu well. There are no prices listed with the food items and when asked the staffer had to 'order' it on the computer to check. Odd. Got through ordering process and waited quite a while for food. My eggs and toast plate good when it arrive and eggs were cooked as requested but it was in the cold side. Granola and yogurt ordered was a bad ratio. Just enough yogurt to turn the granola into cement. Other order was for Green Goddess a skillet eggs dish - again ratio of eggs to garlic and bacon was off and it was all over cooked- crispy on the edges. Coffee was great and so was the bread.
