When you have exhausted everything that there is worth visiting or doing in oklahoma (it should take you a day), a great way to kill time is by hitting up the Indian casinos. Cha-ching! In my opinion, Riverwind is better than Remington Park. It's no vegas by any respect but its still a fun place to kill time and lose/win money in. It is less crowded and more spacious than Remington, and contained a lot of the slot machines that I've seen in vegas (Wheel of Fortune *whoop *whoop!*). I was surprised they even had the giant wheel of fortune with the large wheel in the middle just like in vegas. And it was a penny to play! A PENNY!!!! It doesn't get any better than that! Empty out your change purse and search that couch for loose change cause they got lots of penny and nickle slots here! And for those poker folks, they have some tables too (two bucks minimum.. TWO BUCKS!!!). I wish they had roulettes though. But at least they gotz my penny wheel of fortune machine.. :) read more

Typically the casinos are overcrowded and smokey. This was not the case with Riverwind. ATMs and Bill breaker machines were plenty and functional. The restrooms were clean. I didn't eat at any of the restaurants but there were plenty to choose from. The beverage area was clean and stocked so I was able to grab a quick drink. Overall great visit and I will return. read more

I have stayed here numerous times and usually have had a good experience if you don't mind dirt under the couch and the shitty food at Margaritaville. I just called and was booking a room and the guys computer froze up and he said "darn it let me call you back. I said "Okay, don't give my room away". He said "Don't worry ma'am we got you". He asked to call me right back once his supervisor figured out the problem. No call back. So I called again and some other dumb ass answered and said "sorry ma'am, we are all sold out". What the hell kind of customer service is that? They didn't offer to comp a room or meal or anything considering we spend thousands of dollars there. For me, Riverwind is the best casino in the central part of Oklahoma. They have great concerts, table games, card games, nice places to eat and of course, tons of slots. I have won a lot of money here and I've lost a lot of money here. Another thing I love about this place is sometimes they play all 80s music. They have a big theater where they put on concerts (less country, more rock please) and a small bar stage where local bands play cover songs. Win or lose, I always have a good time. read more

I love Riverwind. It is bigger than most of the small casino's around and you can get some different food options. I don't care for the buffet that much, but I do like the crab legs on Friday nights. They have a Panda Express, Burger Kind, Taco Bueno and Rick's Cafe (pizza and sandwiches). They also have a sit-down restaurant called Chips and Ales that I really love. This last Saturday night they had a guy with his guitar in there singing. He was really good. They have 2 different bars. The one on the North Entrance usually has live bands on Fri and Sat nights and most of the time they are really good. I have been to several concerts here and the venue is really nice. So far, I haven't ever hit a jackpot here, but I do come home with some extra cash from time to time. My wife hit a jackpot once (sweet). I enjoy playing the games and this is where I like to go the most. read more

Just left the casino. The past few times I've been there I've asked my temp. It's always been below 98 degrees. Ok, so maybe my temp runs low. I drink when I'm there and have been asked to put my mask on "between sips"...ok fine. Tonight a woman next to me had her mask pulled down to her chin, coughing and sneezing multiple times. I asked her to put her mask on. Ignored. I pushed the service button on my machine. A worker came to ask if I needed help and I said "yes, can you please ask the person next to me to put her mask on?" The person left. A few minutes later someone came to ask her to put on her mask. She did. Then as soon as he walked away, she pulled it back down, continued lighting cigarettes to "pass". And coughing...ridiculous, when us "non-smokers" are required to follow policy. I saw a group brought to the floor a few weeks ago for not wearing masks.....how come she gets away with it?? I won't be back any time soon. Two thumbs down. Boo Riverwind. You shouldn't allow smokers, especially those with obvious coughing/sneezing issues, to have a free pass. Makes the "non-smokers" feel disregarded. read more

The Riverwind is not the largest nor the biggest casino in Oklahoma. It is trying hard to be the best. Because of its smaller size, feel more comfortable as a guest navigating thru the Casino. Much of their furnishings are aging; nevertheless, the staff members are always friendly and compensate for what is lacking. Riverwind has treated us descently with incentives and other promotions in play & food. In the drawing yesterday don't know how much I lost when my name was called & I was not in the Casino to claim. We will be forever grateful to all who responded in the Riverwind on Thursday to my wife's emergency, a nose bleed which wouldn't stop bleeding - medic, EMS, Police and Fire Dept. They assisted us in everyway to contact me, administer medical aide, & getting her to the hospital. Where bleeding was stopped, wife examined, treated, & released to pursue weekend activities. All this happened when both of us were on a winning streak. read more

Based on the parking lot, I thought yes, this is going to be great. Wow, I have never seen so many slot machines packed into such a small place. So yes, tons of machines but packed in like a sardine can. Plus the slots weren't loose at all. I blew through money quickly. Not sure I would go back. read more

For a casino that bills itself as Las Vegas in Oklahoma, a lot of Vegas has been left in Nevada. The slot games are just so-so and forget the buffet, it is bland, boring, and low on options. It might be one of the best in Oklahoma, but it is definitely lacking compared to other casinos in other states. read more

We stopped at this hotel/ casino driving back to California. They really do a fantastic job here. Everyone at check in and check out were super friendly and helpful. Free drinks, coffee, cookies in lobby 24/7. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Lots of slots to play... good variety. Free breakfast was the best we ever had and waiter Alex ( in his first week) was so professional. This was an all around great experience. Only suggestion is maybe bump up the freeplay for new guest to 10 or 20 dollars. read more

I just hate the smoke! But it's a casino, nothing I can do about that. Really my complaint is long alcohol lines and machines have no organization. I get lost and lose ppl in this casino. They need signs that say section a or b so u could tell someone where to find you. And more bars or better waitresses that will actually ask if you need a drink. read more

If you aren't an adult you have to stay on the perimeter of the the main casino area and that disappointed me because I was a kid then and I am a kid now. There are still some things on the perimeter such as restaurants but no activities to make kids entertained and enjoy staying with the adults who clearly are the only ones who would clearly like to go to this casino. read more

The Willows Buffet in Riverwind Casino should be avoided. We paid $20 a person for their buffet. We were greeted by a friendly cashier and a smiling hostess. That's where the service ended. We got our food and returned to our seats. The shrimp was good, the vegetables, were cold and tasteless. No server. We sat and sat. Still no server. My husband had to flag the hostess before she appeared. She just wouldn't wait on us. Our dishes piled up and our drinks went empty. The server kept seating herself. She wasn't waiting on her other tables either. The cashier asks if you want to tip before you eat. I'm glad we didn't. The server assumed her tip was guaranteed and she served us accordingly. read more

On a visit to Moore, OK to see The Lady (her still being in the Army and all!), we were able to experience firsthand the power and terror of a mid-west tornado in all it's glory. The next day, The Lady and I decided that an evening out was in order and she mentioned that she'd like to try one of the casinos near OKC. We chose Riverwind due to it's proximity to Moore and a major thoroughfare. We checked the website, read reviews on Yelp and decided we would hit the buffet for dinner. Upon our arrival, we noted that it was fairly easy to find parking, although not very close to the front entrance. I would describe it as rather like having to park at the far end of a mall parking lot during the holidays. We noticed a small shuttle roaming the parking lot to assist those who needed it and thought it was a nice touch. Entering the casino's front entrance, we were immediately assailed by the cloud of cigarette and cigar smoke that permeated the games area. Neither of us smoke, but it wasn't so bad as to make us want to leave. I noticed that most of the clientele were retirees, but there were plenty of people from all age groups (18+ only please!) represented. As the signage wasn't the most helpful, we asked for directions to the Willows Buffet and were soon seated by a very friendly server who answered any questions we had. Terrance was one of the highlights of the evening, he kept our drinks full and had a very pleasant disposition and sense of humor. The buffet choices were less-than-extraordinary, I would compare it to a Golden Corral and the like. We watched as one of the cooks poured BBQ sauce from a plastic jug over a pan of pork chops that looked absolutely cooked to death! The stand-outs were at the carving stations, with the Prime Rib and Brisket proving to be very tasty and well prepared. The salad bar area had the usual selections, nothing really of note and the dessert buffet was, well, underwhelming. One of my biggest pet peeves with a buffet is that they keep the food, sauces, dressings and desserts well stocked. This was NOT the case at Willows. During our first visit to the carving station I made comment to the server that the creamy horseradish container was empty. During our entire meal, the container was not refilled, nor were several dressings on the salad bar or food items on the buffet. After our meal we headed to the casino where we played several slot-style games and had a lot of fun just experimenting, not really winning or losing big as gambling isn't really a huge thing for us. We both do love roulette, but they do not have roulette or craps tables at Riverwind. We noted that they're not very good at keeping trash, drink cups (often used as ashtrays!) and the like cleared away from the gaming machines. Not a plus in our opinion. The real gem of our evening, however, was at a pub inside the casino called Chip 'N Ales. As self-professed beer snobs, we find ourselves in a lot of brewpubs and draught-houses and so we were excited to find one here. The pub had a warm, english/irish decor and we were seated into the bar area immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and chatted with us as we perused their draft menu which, while by no means huge, had a couple of standout selections. Any place with Guiness, Boddingtons or Harp on tap is OK with me and there were some interesting blends on the menu that sounded very tasty. We actually ordered from the bottled beer menu, I had a Bridgeport Hop Czar Imperial IPA and the lady had a Spaten Optimator. The beer was delivered to the table in the bottle, but upon offer by our server, a frosty 1L beer mug was brought that allowed us both to really enjoy our selection. The food menu had some of my fave pub food items, including Bangers and Mash and Scotch Eggs. As we were still full from the buffet, were didn't sample any of the food, but what we saw being delivered to tables looked very appetizing, smelled great and we saw a lot of people making positive comments. Living in Florida, the real surprise was when we cashed out. While those two beers would have sold at most places in Florida for $6 to $7, they were $5 each here! The food prices were pretty acceptable as well, so if you make it to Riverwind, we highly recommend Chip 'N Ales. So, all-in-all, we had a pleasant dining and gambling experience. We agree we'd go back to sample more wares from Chip 'N Ales, but probably will avoid Willows in the future. Happy dining!! read more

This is a nice casino with typical Oklahoma Indian Reservation rules meaning tight slots, .50 cents a hand blackjack, no roulette or craps, and no free booze. Beer is $3 and you can order a Cantina (Mexican beer) if you want to avoid the watered down Oklahoma beer. Other than that, it is a nice and fairly large casino. The poker room is very friendly and accommodating with $3-$6 limit games and all the other popular poker games. Overall, the place is very nice and the employees seem more customer service oriented than some of the other Oklahoma casinos I've visited. Guys will appreciate the Vegas style waitress outfits. My only criticism of the casino is the same as all the Oklahoma casinos-with the .50 cents per hand charge at blackjack, you'll lose even if you win. You'll really lose in the slot machines (more so than the normal Shreveport or Vegas slots) and your paying for drinks. Poker seems to be the best play at this (and all other) Oklahoma Indian casinos. I'm sure the rake on the poker games is higher than normal, but at least you have a chance not to lose. For Oklahoma casinos, this is a good one, but you may still wish you had driven to Shreveport. read more

I typically don't gamble and visit casinos but it was fun watching fam go at it on the slot machines while I was in town. Just like your typical casino with a buch of gamblers sitting at slot machines with a cigarette in their mouth (you could smell the cigarette smoke in the air). But overall, this place is very clean in the inside. Good-looking on the outside (especially at night) when the casino's lit up. This place has gone downhill in the slot payouts. I used to win but now they pay nothing. Cruised the whole casino tonight and the only winners getting a payout were on the $25 and $100 machines. Didn't see one person anywhere except the high slot room getting paid. Even the $5 and $10's weren't paying. On a Friday night! I used to love this place years ago when the slots actually paid sometimes but man, nothing now. Not even on penny or quarter slots. Tight as a nuns knees. It's a rich man's casino I guess. To preface this I will say that I do not go into a casino expecting to leave with more than I came in with, I expect to spend an amount of money and have a good time doing it. On Sunday that is what I did and had a good time I wish that they had a non smoking section though because it kind of stinks with all the smokers. Had a special event so took them to Riverwind. The buffet was so bad that we could not even eat the food. Most food had been on serving line so long that it was crusted over and the fried foods were mushy. Who serves a buffet for $24.95 and serves "ice box" pies (the ones you pull out of the freezer and thaw? Son in law broke open a crawfish and it was black and spoiled. Prime rib so tough you could not eat it. Everybody was complaining and one guy was in the men's room throwing up. Manager (I guess), was going around trying to smooth things over but never replaces any food on the buffet with fresh. TOTALLY SORRY I WENT THEIR WITH MY PARTY. I always have a blast coming here for the concerts. I really like when JakeFM holds concerts because they are really affordable and they get great acts. Fun fun fun!!!!!! The flashing rainbow lights are so attractive off the freeway. How could one resist?! The BF and I wanted to do something different one Saturday night so we opted for a visit to the casino. It's dangerously close to our house too *sigh* I'm a Vegas fiend so this might be a problem!!!!! The BF has the Poker room and I have my slots. They don't have as many of the variety of cool/fun/interactive machines like Vegas, but close enough. No table roulette and no craps. The Sex & The City "Fabulous" machine is too much fun! I'm not a fan of the show, but the progressive bonuses are what makes it worth wild to play. Every time I left that machine, I'd lose to another lowly slot. I come back to "Fabulous" and win my money back. It's amazing! I think it takes a lot of self control to lose and win though. I know gambling is not for everyone, but hey- I'm asian!
